Without trying to go on the defensive for this place, if people from here go to TBSG...even just a few, it would rip this place to shreds. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Not going to happen for two reasons

IF and I said IF me and Bikz were to "recruit" anyone from here it would only be the ones we know are good roleplayers.

Also who said it will be anyone but me and Bikz rping there?

I hope it's more than that! I will be advertising its arse off; I know quite a few roleplayers from other sites who might be interested, or who have friends who might be interested. Plus there are roleplay directories (eg. Caution 2.0) and listings of other music RP sites, all of which will have advertising sections (as will new-TBSG). Hopefully, only a very small percentage of users will be from TRSG. I don't want it to be "this is the more advanced version of TRSG roleplay". It will be quite different, and as I said, not every TRSG roleplayer would enjoy such a site.

I didn't want to make it seem like we were going to recruit, usually when someone isn't asked to join something, they start asking to join which creates talk about the something they want to join - which in the end brings in more members. (:

Well, I wasn't planning any foul play to get members, or any elite lists. The way to get members is fucking honesty. Also, I don't want to make TBSG or any TRSG bug fix, I want it to be something disjointed from this site completely, the only connections being that I'll advertise the finished product on this site, and that I'll use both.

So wait wait. Why can't you just play both? I know I would, and probably other people would. I love this place and I'm always ready to try something else. I think we're putting both games at odds with each other when they could stand side by side which I think is a much better idea.

So here's the facts.
  • I was planning to make a new forum game later this year, around September-October time.
  • I was not planning to call it TBSG or any sort of -star Game, but something completely different. It would not rival or cross over with TRSG or original TBSG at all. It would, as DA says, be feasible to play both if you have the time and enjoy both kinds of roleplay.
  • It would be an intermediate-to-advanced roleplay game - however, this does not mean that it would be invite-only or have a guest list, quite the opposite, it would be advertised widely and honestly. There would be a character application to weed out "Mary Sue" characters and the like, but that's not elitist, that's common practice.
  • I did ask David to co-admin.
  • TBSG is just a codename until I think of a name. The Bikstar Game will only ever be the defunct bridge game from 2008-2009, and will never return in the same form.
  • I would not leave TRSG.
