There was never any bad blood between the pair of them following their break-up but there was the fear in Cara's mind that their friendship could be broken by it. Those fears dissipated immediately once Cara looked directly at Mariko, she couldn't help but revert back to how she was whenever she was around her and she felt like it was reciprocated in Mariko's reaction to seeing Cara too. If Cara had her own way and not so much time to catch up on, she'd have held her for hours.
She smiles as Mariko pretended to downplay her appearance, she liked to give off an air of nonchalance but she knew full well that Mariko was likely to have stressed over this meeting, after all it was very unexpected and last minute. Cara smiled as Mariko complimented her, she wanted to make her feel at ease this evening but knew that there could quite probably be some serious conversations to be had too. She glanced back into the hallway as Mariko says that she missed her, she pursed her lips and nodded solemnly, "I missed you too Mari." she runs her hand through her hair and closes her eyes briefly before composing herself, "It's not been easy."
She tilts her head slightly towards the door of the lounge, waiting for Mariko to head inside and take a seat on the sofa. |

mariko hadnt been exactly sure where things were between them. she seemed to have a habit of having strange post relationship relationships with ex's. to this day she and nina never spoke about what happened. she wasnt even sure if they were friends anymore,or just people going through the motions. she had been concerned things might have went in that direction with cara. granted,nothing dramatic or ill tempered happened between them. they just sort of...stopped. but being here with cara,it felt as natural as it always had. it made mariko smile.
as mariko followed cara down the hall,she let her fingers drag on the wall. cara's home felt warm and very inviting, much like its owner.when cara said she missed her as well,it felt like something struck to mariko's core. deep down,she blamed herself for what had happened between them. " im sorry, cara. i know i can be a bit of a flake." she gives a little shrug. it was well known,much like grass being green. she had went from being super clingy like in her past relationships,to giving room....just too much room,to cara and they drifted apart. "i know,its been...rough." mariko says with a look towards the ceiling. she continues with,"you know,my sister really did change the locks on my house." she giggles. she had meant to say something far more serious,but it was probably too early for that.
mariko lightly sat on the sofa,drawing her legs underneath her. she wiggled her toes at cara with a wide grin. |

Cara glanced across at Mariko for a second, she shook her head, "I don't think either of us are to blame. It's just life tends to get in the way of a good thing every now and then." she didn't blame Mariko for their time together being so brief, they were both on such different schedules that short of one constantly following the other from city to city it was never gonna work. She gestures towards the glasses of wine and takes hers and a refreshing sip and nods as she listens to Mariko. "But we're here and we can we still talk to each other, at least there's no serious battle scars, right?" she says with a small smile.
Cara sits back comfortably on the sofa, bringing her legs upon the leather and laughs a little at Erica's antics, "That's fucking brilliant! We can always rely on your sister to make things happen." she takes another sip of wine, "So I guess that means you're gonna be hanging around California for a while then?" she says with a hopeful smile. |

Mariko nods along as she listens to Cara. She certainly made a good point. They did live thousands of miles from each other and Cara was a very busy woman. "True. But I'm still taking a little blame,you can't stop me." Mariko giggles and throws up her fists. She scoots a little closer to cara before taking up her wine. "The bubbles tickle my nose." She says with a little smirk, referencing what she only assumed happened in a movie once..and with champagne. She settled in and got comfy, Cara was right. They were here now and that's what mattered. "Well...not exactly." She trails off. " I did stub my toe on my table while packing to come here. But hopefully it doesn't leave a scar."
" We can rely on her to be a little psycho." Mariko replies warmly. She loved Erica's... impulsiveness." But I'm glad she shoved me to do this.i forgot just how I loved the sound of your voice." Mariko says more than a little flirtatiously. It's not like cara was just some random person on the street. Mariko was extremely fond of her. she sets her glass on the coaster. She made sure to do this,as everyone hates drink rings on their tables. " If California doesn't kill me from the fires or mudslides,I'll be here for awhile. Three weeks to be exact. Then it's back to Osaka for a show. So I'm all yours until midnight February second. After that,I turn into a pumpkin or something." Mariko laughs |

Cara listens to Mariko and continues to drink, she nods a couple of times when she talks about why they didn't work and how she's taking some of the blame for it. She shakes her head a little and laughs, "Erica is a little psycho. I think that's why we all love her." She runs her hands through her hair and smiles when she hears Mariko say how she missed Cara's voice and laughs a little, she had often been complimented on a lot of things but her voice was never one of them, "Well. thank you. My voice is my best asset. In fact, in this period of feminism 'OUR' voice is our best asset's." she says jokingly.
She continues to listen as Mariko talks about staying in California for a while, "Oh shit! Three weeks. We can get a lot done in three weeks." she says with an enthusiastic smile, "This could be a lot of fun." she says with a devilish sparkle in her eye.

Mariko smiles into her glass and tells Cara," yeah. She constantly pokes me to get me to do things I wouldn't do otherwise." Mariko casts a meaningful look about Cara's home and lets her gaze fall on Cara. Mariko is a person who can be easily embarrassed and will avoid facing mistakes,real or imagined. Drifting away from Cara certainly falls within that realm. " Word. Sisters are doing it for themselves!" Mariko jokes back to Cara. A few more glasses of wine,and she would SING the famous for her.
"Cara!" Mariko says, putting her hands to her cheeks like the home alone kid. "Are you suggesting what I think you are?" She laughs, equally devilishly. The idea of spending three weeks with Cara certainly did appeal to her. "Wait,we have to keep this secret. I don't anyone thinking there is a casting couch to get on one of your festivals." She crosses her arms with a wink. Sure, they had what could only be loosely referred to a a relationship. For these three weeks however... |

Cara looks at Mariko and nods, "You need somebody in your life that helps push you out of your comfort zones. We all do." she brings her legs up onto the couch and makes herself more comfortable. She gives a smile, "I think you know what I'm suggesting." she says with a light giggle, she was certainly hoping to get re-acquainted with Mariko. She takes another sip of her drink and laughs, "Oh, I do like the idea of a casting couch to decide who gets to perform. To be honest, it can tell me all I need to know. Do you have energy? Can you "perform" for a very long time? Are you capable of satisfying your audience?" she smirks and narrows her eyes slightly as she looks across at Mariko. Cara wasn't sure where this get-together would end up going but she had hopes that they could re-ignite a spark. |

Mariko laughs loudly and leans her head against the back of the couch." Oh,cara. I think I much more need someone to reign me in. That little devil that appears on my shoulder can be super convincing." While her sister usually was good for pushing her ,in a good way. Mariko was good for going zero to a hundred all on her own,but in a bad way. Mariko takes a long drink of her wine in response to cars confirming that sitting and talking may not be the entirety of the evening. " Good thing I went with the matching underwear set today. Boy my face would be red if I still had the striped bra with the polka dotted undies. " She giggles into the glass. Blushing,so perhaps she really did end up in the clashing patterns. She looks at Cara and covers her mouth in mock shock. " Why ,miss Zayn. I'm but a simple musician and don't know about these things. But I'm willing to try out and see what you think." Mariko says this in her best,over the top lousy porno actress voice she can muster. She was having a great time seeing Cara again. She taps the bottom of her foot against Cara's and smiles with a sigh. " I really wish we would have kept in better touch. I sooooo miss this." |

Chris had hung out with Billy a few times and they got along really well. Chris still didn't have that silly side that he did with the he's mostly because it was strange being around an idol like Billy. There wasn't a comparison between the two he felt like the he's needed that comedy and joking nature while Billy, needed a person. He was someone that had millions of fans, highly rich and successful. What he wanted he got no questions asked, so to actively want to spend time with Chris meant more to him then anything else in the world. That also came with a lot of pressure and focus that he had to prep for. He knew about the media cause he was part of the group so he knew he had to approach things differently. His time with Billy had to be measured and controlled unlike with the hess clan. So Chris pick a pretty fancy expensive space not because he had expensive taste but he knew going to hole in the walls or cheap places would have Billy swarmed with fans he wouldn't have time to eat or talk, at least this place had a standard of having celebrities come often so there wasn't going to have that star stuck moment it would just be a regular Thursday night for them.
When Chris got to the building he had a button up shirt and some jeans but he wasn't the celeb type to normally eat here so he pull out a trick he hasn't used in a long time. Pretend to be more famous than what he was. "Yea Culture Uncut booked a reservation and I'm here for that. That issue the booth in the back and here is the confirmation number." The host looks at Chris and thinks he does look familiar but he couldn't place it. Everything checked out and so they took him to the booth in the back and places a menu "I don't need your menu in fact I'm going to be ordering once everyone gets here for the table but you can leave some for the guest." Acting lessons must have paid off cause they didn't throw him out and accepted what he told them so they brought water and bread with cheeses and left him there as he waited for Billy. |

Billy enjoys hanging out with Chris and having a friend outside of his own band and his brothers. He used to have a tight circle of industry friends of his own back in the day but people grow up and grow apart. Now, most people in the industry are just acquaintances to him or familiar faces but not really worthy of the friend title. Chris is an exception, however. They appear to have a genuine bond and Billy wants to hold on to that. Chris is one of the few people who have seen Billy outside of his work as a label owner and global pop star. He's been in Billy's home, smoked with him, got under covers with him and even kissed him so Billy trusts that this is a legitimate friendship and not a quest for fame.
He arrives at the meeting spot and is quickly ushered inside. While he is very well known, the staff treat him with respect and not like a piece of meat as this is a very high-end place. Everyone has to act professional around their famous guests and it's just as well as Billy doesn't take too kindly to being mobbed and pointed at. He has a very short fuse. Billy is wearing a rather sharp black Gucci suit with a fine white button up shirt and sleek black tie underneath. His dress shoes alone cost over 1k. He definitely treats himself and loves to flaunt his wealth from time to time. Billy grew up in the rundown area of Hackney, spending a lot of his youth in care and even being out on the streets at one point. He's definitely going to make the most of the money he earns now. Billy is escorted to the booth by a member of staff and smiles when he sees Chris. "Hello, cunt face!" Billy says loudly over the rather swanky room. It sounds like an insult but it's a term of endearment in Billy's vocabulary. He has a very unique way of expressing himself to say the least. |

While Chris was waiting for Billy to show up people were looking at him as if they know they have seen his face before but they couldn't picture it. Many waiters and waitress walking ask him where they have seen him before and he would just calm state that he was one of the writers for Culture Uncut. People thought back and they do remember him being there so it kind of checked out but once Billy showed up it removed the doubt for the most part, 'If he got Billy Khan to just show up and not make a big deal out of it he must be someone famous.' Clearly the faking have worked well enough for people to buy it and Billy joking with him sold it even more, "Numb Nuts! how have you been." Chris said waving to him from the booth in the back. Chris cost of clothes but nothing even in the realm of Billy clothes. Even down to the underwear I'm sure Billy would look at it and then look at the person with a 'You got to be kidding?' look.
The booth was big and really spacious for just the two of them but it was all really just a con as he just got the one with the most privacy without having to put some credit card on file. Once Billy sat down and the waiter left Chris smirked at Billy "I got a chance to something I don't you have haven't done in a long time. Pretend to be someone more famous than what I am. Seriously I don't know if I should be happy people think I'm somewhat famous or mad they don't know what I'm famous for." He took out his media press badge and showed it to Billy to see if he would notice that it was a fake. "How you been it's been a while," |

"I'm good, mate. Still riding out a little high," Billy says with a laugh. Now that he mentions it, there is a very faint smell of weed in the air. There's rarely a day that goes by without Billy blazing up. Getting high is just as much of his shtick as his lewd jokes and fiery spats. "If I pretended to be more famous than I actually am...I'd be God." Billy folds his arms and smirks. "I am actually kind of like God in a way now that I think of it." It's always hard to tell when Billy is joking as he does have a rather huge ego as well as a very dry sense of humour. Billy takes out his phone, briefly skimming over his messages before making a point of turning the device off. There's no doubt someone will try to contact him and need him for something, which Billy hates. He doesn't take too kindly to his fun time being interrupted. He smiles and looks Chris up and down. "You're looking good, man. What you been up to?" |

Chris smirked "Bruh I think you are past the God comparisons you know you have a rabbit fan base that reads your stuff like scripture and pray to their idol and posters all you really need is a crusade when you go out and kill other factions and spread the gospel of Billy Khan as well as dick pics." Chris was all about having fun but he also wanted to pump Billy up which thinking it out loud would have others confused. Why pump Billy's ego when it gets stroke enough some people thought but Chris like it when people praise and liked his work and good positive reinforcement talks about how rare it is for something like Chris who was famous in his own right could still go out and not have people blowing up his phone or getting all in his space. Billy has been famous for such a long time it is hard to remember a time where he wasn't. As if on cue Billy phone rings "You know if you have anything important to take care of it's cool man I can wait."
Billy looked at Chris and he flexed his muscles "Yea you like, it is the try and eat healthy while going outside diet. Normally I stay tucked in my dungeon while trying to edit videos. Really I don't mind the sunlight but I rather just copy and paste for the beach body I want." The waiter comes back and ask what Billy and Chris wants and when he gets to Chris he looks at the guy "I want to order a pizza but a good greasy fat pizza. Like I want all the food groups in it." He looks at Billy and smirks "I'll help treat you know I don't have hit making music money but I can at least help pay for stuff besides the drinks and free bread." |

"Well I do have a bunch of new dick pics that haven't leaked yet so I might go on said crusade and share them after this meal," Billy says with a laugh. He doesn't have a care in the world and has a very healthy attitude towards sex. He has absolutely no shame. Most people in the restaurant have probably seen his nudes anyway so he's not worried about referencing them in public. Billy shakes his head and pushes his phone to the side. "No, it's fine. There's nothing going on that one of the other boys can't handle. Not having work ruin my free time. People just need to learn to cope without me." Billy has the great ability of being able to completely cut off and detach from the world and all responsibilities. It can be rather selfish of him at times but it can be a decent quality to have. He very rarely gets stressed over things as he simply blocks things and people out.
"Yeah, you're really looking well, mate!" Billy gives Chris' arm a light squeeze and pats his muscles. "I'm glad I'm naturally slim. I think I'll keep it that way. At the start of the year I said to myself that I'd bulk up a bit but after a gym session with Riley? Fuck that!". His band mate and good friend Riley Hamilton is like 100% lean British beef who might as well have shares in a gym. Billy isn't fond of exercise or restrictive diets. They're major inconveniences to him and he does not have the patience. He looks over the menu, analysing it carefully. Billy is the owner of two restaurants, is a great chef at home and has a real passion for food. If he didn't stumble into music by chance, he probably would've attempted a culinary career. "Hmmm...I'll have the garlic shrimp tagliatelle with a light dusting of Parmesan cheese over it and a bottle of beer. Make it ice cold and German." Billy closes the menu and smiles at the waiter. He'd be a little more adventurous and picky with the menu if it was a proper dinner but as today is really about a catch-up with Chris, he's not too fussy. "I have half a mind to let you pay for it all. I let you into my cinema room and under my covers for free last time. You got your freebie. Where's mine?" Billy chuckles, obviously playing around with Chris.
"I really enjoyed having you over at mine, by the way. It was nice having someone around who wasn't doing maintenance or raiding the premises for drugs." Billy smirks at Chris. |

"I will be sure to tell your loyal subjects about your new mission, my lord," Chris said smirking thinking about the crazy but maybe serious attitude that Billy has about his topics. He was sure that this wasn't likely to happen but it could of in some kind of way. Billy had a way of getting things that he wanted out of life who's to say that getting more fans wasn't another goal of his. "This is the price one pays to be the center of the group I'm mean you have to have a leader and it also shows how much people respect and admire your input, even when it is something that could figure out themselves. I phone only gets the call when it like death com 4 and shit is about to hit the fan."

He offered as he got his plate and silverware ready "You can tell me to pay if you want too but I'm going to let you know that I going to have to work this off and I don't mind doing dishes and taking out the trash on a fancy restaurant." |

"If someone doesn't hack my phone and leak them, I might actually go ahead and post them myself. I think they're the hottest ones yet!" Billy raises and eyebrow and switches his phone back on briefly before gingerly passing it under the table and across the booth to Chris. Sure enough, it's a very explicit and high quality of Billy's 8.5 inch infamous circumcised dong. "That's the most PG-13 one I took. I've got another photo of me spreading my h-" Billy cuts himself off as the food arrives at the table, not wanting the waiters to know his business...yet. When Chris offers some of his food to Billy he shakes his head and screws up his face slightly. "Nah, I'm good with my own." Billy is rather fussy when it comes to food and hygiene. He doesn't like helping himself and/or sharing meals. He likes to have his own portions contained on his own plate with no interference. "I'm just joking, mate. I can totally pay if you want? Fuck, I can buy this establishment if you want? I'm a rich cunt!" Billy laughs and exclaims in his usual expletive filled manner. |

The hot new artist on the scene, Chicago Nobody, sits alone in the dining area of a modest hotel in downtown Los Angeles. He plays about with his napkin, feeling like a fish out of water and also bored beyond belief. This is a long way from home of the Illinois native. With his single "make daddy mad" making waves on the radio and his debut album looming, the independent artist is a hot topic. Everyone wants to grab a piece of him and get to know him from the jump, which is why he's here in L.A. - enduring a day of press in a rented out suite. With no manager, team or label, he has had to organise all of this himself hence the loneliness. He had no real intentions of becoming a well known music artist and now, here he is. It's all rather surreal and a little daunting for him. |

It was another busy day for Chris he still has meetings to go to and shooting to look at. He was busy but that doesn't mean he was responsible. Right now he was hiding from his "help" so he could slack off for the day at least. It gets boring and time-consuming and while he loved what he does and love that his friends were there to help with his dream it was a lot and sometimes he would rather push work on others that he thought they could do a better job. Sure there hasn't been a new episode of the show and it was on hiatus with no one able to tie Chris down. There were a lot of things to keep the machine moving and he was still able to keep afloat on a lot of things, he wasn't a businessman he was the business and man the business wanted to chill and slack off. Hiding in a hotel with a baseball cap and some shades He figured he would get something to snack on while running away. |
