After the departure of Kidd Amaze and Carmen Grant and Lotus leaving for others chances Sabrina was torn between Labels that wanted to see what they could get out of her and what she consider her home PR. To make matters worst she was scheduled to go on tour with Kidd Amaze, and after heated talks they allowed her to go but they would hold on to her contract until she came back and they will talks about her later. The experience was good for her as she was able to get some exposure as well as giving me more of a feel for her sound. Once she got back from the tour the debated began on what should be done, Some said they she should go independent others felt that if she could pull in numbers she should go to another label. With all of this going around she just channel her emotions into her music. Talking about how she isn't going to change and she is going to do what is best for her and no one else. Quote: There was a lot of drama, with the roster, management, and all of a sudden all these were eyes were on me and what I was going to do. I don't know what happen one moment we were all together and then people just started to leave like that lost faith. I'm just here to show people what I dreamed to do, and so I really put my all into this. So that is why I called it This is Me cause I think that this is really all of me right now. As for Sabrina sound it dance, Electronic Dance to be sure. She did most of the music herself but also have some help with TJ "Kidd Amaze" Cousins with the production. So songs are really catchy and makes you want to dance while other the music takes a back seat for the lyrics that she wanted to portray Some of the songs are songs that have already been release (Make Me Your Woman, Better Off Without You) while others we're cut from the project cause of how it was proceed by the public (Scream and Shout, Crazy) Some of this is music that she did during the tour with Kidd Amaze while other is brand new never heard before. This is it for her contract though, and it will be interesting to see how this fare, in both charts and sells. As this is the first project for the new Permanent Reminder Track One: My Way The CD starts off with the song My Way was it begins with piano, So right off she goes into talking about her dream, A dream about being a top selling artist, having lots of money, and having things go her way. Reality has been everything but her way with gossip and talks swirling around her. As the song goes through the first verse the piano is the only thing that is playing but subtle beat starts to form into she goes into the hook where the beat really kicks in. Spontaneous and rocking, the beat is good and has it own moments where it gets it solo before she goes back to her verse and things get mellow again. She goes into saying she knows her worth and is not going to go less than what she feel she has earned. (Lyrics) (1st Verse) I was always the one to go and Follow my own drumbeat no one can live your life You have to make your own way Find a place where you can stay And be happy (Bridge) One day, I have everything I could ask for And more, Yes more Until then I just keep working and making to shore (Hook) I want to have it my way. The track is more electronic feels then the last one. In the beginning it talks about how she wants to go away from the relationship but every time she wants to leave it causes another fight and he ends getting physical with her. This was something that she didn't have a good time writing as she has seen her grandmother in this type of abused. It is a song that She thinks a lot of people will relate too as music as always been a comfort to her and has been there to good and bad as it has for many others. She talks about finding herself by getting lost in music. Which is why she thinks it relates well with others. {Lyrics} You always been the protective one Someone who will hog the fun Only to give it all to me You never get judgmental But sometimes leave me sentimental Of all the things to do for me But you aren’t so squeaky clean Because I know you done this others But I love you so I’m happy to be another The notches on bed tell me all I need know I know how it can end but I want to be in show Cause I get lost, I lost when I’m with you Somehow you, you know what to do Whenever I have problem I come running to you I get lost, so lost when I’m with you. I'm glad Sabrina finally got this out and it's a good uplifting EDM album. Happy you used "Truth", and my fave song is "It Takes Two" featuring Lotus. A bop that should be the next single!
