Title: Expectations
Length: 58:46
Genere!(s): Pop, R&B, Dance-Pop, Electro-Pop
Label: Five Pesky Kids Records
Release Date: February 2019
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Marshmallow, George Blackman

"Expectations is the upcoming second studio album by American singer-songwriter Elyar Black. The album has been over four years in the making due to several push backs by no fault of his own. His label Five Pesky Kids have seemingly halted it's release for currently unknown reasons but it seems the the album is finally going to see the light of day and get it's release. The album is the follow up to the 26 year-olds 2014 debut album "Elyar". The album looks to also capitalize on the success of "Get Me (Naked)" the latest track to be lifted off the album and reached the top spot on the charts at the end of last year. The album consists of 13 tracks and it seems as if the 26 year-old had found a more consistent sound overall on this album as his previous album was more scattered and a little bit all over the place. Obviously he now has found himself seemingly as an artist.

Work on the album began over three years ago, a lot of the track from back then we're scrapped however a few of them have remained in the final track listing. The album was written solely by Elyar himself. However a few producers were called in for the album. Big names like Ryan Tedder, Max Martin as well as Marshmallow were called in to work on the album as well as one of Elyar's friends underground producer George Blackman. So far 3 singles have been released from the album over the course of it's production time first released was "Neon Lights", followed by "Gold Digger" in 2016 and most recently "Get Me (Naked)" all of which became major hits but none more so than "Get Me (Naked)". Which became Elyar's first #1 single.

Upon reviews from critics, Expectation has received generally good reviews. According to Metacritic, where they assign a weighted average score out of 100 to ratings and reviews from selected mainstream critics, the album received an average of 81, based on 4 reviews. Marian Tuin from the Examiner, called the album "a therapeutic expression through songwriting." Digital Spy's, Robert Copsey summarised that Expectations "may not be particularly bold or daring, but it's packed with enough hooks, singalong choruses and dancefloor-grabbing moments to make it a thoroughly enjoyable listen", rating the album 4 stars out of 5. Caroline Sullivan from The Guardian, Also rating it 4 stars out of a possible 5, praised the album as a whole for its "killer hooks." Sullivan went on to say that Black, as with his previous album, hasn't quite "figured out what to do about his innate romanticism", calling the album "a battle between the lover in him and the priapic Lothario."

Rachel Keigley from the Sonoma State Star said Expectations helps bring out Black's more "sensitive side" compared to previous his work stating "His songs come from the heart and it is evident he put his soul into each lyric." She noted that although at times Elyar's reoccurring use of auto-tuning is definitely evident in this album as with his previous efforts, she praised his "constant use of auto-tuning" which is a "style that Black uses to make his voice sound unique." Keigly concluded by saying that Expectations "is filled with many hits that are catchy and will leave its audience with a euphoric feeling." In writing for SoulHead, Yvorn Aswad agreed that during this time in the music industry "where electronic beats and auto-tuned voices are more tyrant than king, Black somehow manages to pull off those devices without weighing down the album. Instead he produces music that is auditory fun!." Aswad called the album "bubblegum" and "airy" saying "It passes through your ear like an ephemeral substance, elucidating moments of audio bliss. And it works!." Giving the album a B+ rating Aswad summarized that the album "exemplifies Elyar's passion, making for a pleasant listening experience!."

John Calvert of the UK magazine Fact gave the album its most negative review, giving it a 1 out of a possible 5 star rating. Calvert called Expectations a "disjointed hotchpotch of incompatible tones, styles and sentiment – a product of today’s collectivised producer system whereby long-players are constructed like playlists. A gallery of trending white noise pop tropes blur into one, merging then with the equally anonymous presence that is the nondescript Blacl." In writing for PopMatters, Brent Faulkner had a more positive to mixed review of the album, rating the album a 6 out of 10, summarizing that the Expectations "is a pleasant album with some bright moments as well as some average ones. One of the pitfalls of modern pop is consistently sounding distinct and fresh, something that Elyar is clearly a victim of. Essentially, Elyar hits enough jump shots to win the game, but he could’ve played better down the stretch."

Title: Gold Digger
Length: 3:10
Genre: Pop Rap, Pop
Label: Five Pesky Kids Records
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Max Martin
Taken From The Album: Expectations
Sounds Like: Jake Miller - Selfish Girls

2017 has been quite a whirlwind year for Elyar Black, His had good points and bad points a good points but one thing that Elyar can always count on his music to continueon the good points and his new single, which will be the second taken from his second album which has now been confirmed to be called "Classified". Elyar has enjoyed chart success this year with the lead single from the album. "Super Power". Which reached the top 5 in the charts back at the beginning of the year. The new single "Gold Digger". Will be released on June 15th through Five Pesky Kids Records and will be distributed through all major media outlets and will be available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music on the same day.

"Gold Digger" was first revealed to the public in the form of a short snippet which Elyar performed at the Fan Choice Awards back in May, the performance got a lot of attention the performance of the snippet also got attention for who he claimed the song was about, Elyar wrote the song and the song is reportedly about his now ex girlfriend and the mother of his son Lexi Marie Taylor. Elyar confirmed that the song was written right after the break up of there relationship when he had mixed emotions and wrote the song without really thinking about how it would make her not only feel, but how she would be seen and how her public image would be affected by the song, Elyar has since gone on to say that the song now is just a song that guys will be able to relate to if they have ever been in this position

The song is produced by Max Martin who has reportedly worked quite a lot on Elyar's new album with him, Elyar got Max to produce this song because he knew that Max would be able to capture the song and vibe that he wanted to for with the song. The song has been labelled as a pop rap track due to the fact Elyar raps for the majority of the song but the song still has a pop sound which is why the song isn't categorised as a hip hop song. The song is also quite guitar driven and the guitar on the track was played by Elyar himself.

Lyrics

Flashing lights, glitz and glamour
Girl you dream of nothing betta
Fast cars, endless dicks that's what shapes a selfish bitch
Girl you dream of nothing betta
It's a shame girls can't control themselves betta
For every bit of glitz and glamour one girl has the power to turn it sour

Baby girl you live for the fame
You take my money like a little gold digger
But now you gone got yourself a poor boy
No fuck given, his welcome to you
Welcome to the nagging and shit
One day he'll realize your with him just for the fame
Because girl you a gold digger
Just with me to get your name out there
Heck no judgement given
Because look at you now, living the dream
Rolling in the high life
Still doesn't mean your no gold digger

Flashing lights, glitz and glamour
Girl dream of nothing betta
Fast cars, endless dicks that's what shapes a selfish bitch
Girl you dream of nothing betta
It's a shame girls can't control themselves betta
For every bit of glitz and glamour one girl has the power to turn it sour

You say that we are so sick, toxic
But your the reason we have gone sour
This douche is welcome to the mind games
Maybe you can play him like a fiddle
I feel bad when his gonna get caught in the middle
Because girl you always come running back
Nobody loves you in the ways I do
I ain't being cocky it's just fact and figures
But we're over now, you gone got yourself a micro boy
When you could've stayed rolling with a big boy
Your loss, girl you pay the cost
Because girl you a gold digger
Just with me to get your name out there
Heck no judgement given
Because look at you now, living the dream
Rolling in the high life
Still doesn't mean your no gold digger

Flashing lights, glitz and glamour
Girl you dream of nothing betta
Fast cars, endless dicks that's what shapes a selfish bitch
Girl you dream of nothing betta
It's a shame girls can't control themselves betta
For every bit of glitz and glamour one girl has the power to turn it sour

Gold digger
Just a d-i-r-t-y gold digger
Gold digger
Just a d-i-r-t-y gold digger
Gold digger
Just a d-i-r-t-y gold digger
Gold digger
Just a d-i-r-t-y gold digger

Because girl you a gold digger
Just with me to get your name out there
Heck no judgement given
Because look at you now, living the dream
Rolling in the high life
Still doesn't mean your no gold digger

Flashing lights, glitz and glamour
Girl you dream of nothing betta
Fast cars, endless dicks that's what shapes a selfish bitch
GirlGirl you dream of nothing betta
It's a shame girls can't control themselves betta
For every bit of glitz and glamour one girl has the power to turn it sour

Title: Bare
Length: 3:00
Genre(s): Dance-Pop, Pop
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Marshmallow

"Bare" is the second track on the album and turns away from Elyar talking about his past relationship. To talking about leaving himself bare and naked and that women should stay away from him.

The track keeps in line with the first track and has a pop, uptempo beat despite being a song that has a negative conentation. "Bare" was written solely by Elyar Black and is one of the first tracks showing the new side of Elyar's writing that isn't sexually charged or sex driven like his previous songs that were. The track was produced by Marshmallow and is the first track produced by the producer, who will appear more on the album as the reveal goes on.

You can't say I didn't try
I tried all the time
I can't say you didn't make me cry
You told too many lies
I don't think it was me
I think it was you
Your heart is incapable
It's never been used

I stripped my soul bare
Gave you every part of me
Love, a ghost that was never there
You will always leave

What the fuck am I supposed to do now
Now, I'm all alone
I should have known from the start
That sooner or later you'd be gone
I left myself unprotected
In the face of your love
You just left me broken and jaded
We will never fit, just like OJ's glove

I stripped my soul bare
Gave you every part of me
Love, a ghost that was never there
You will always leave
I stripped my soul bare
Gave you every part of me
Love, a ghost that was never there
You will always leave

Like a room with empty walls
No pictures in the frames
I call out for your heart
But I forget your name
I think I need a love potion
Prescribe it straight to you
We're a puzzle that doesn't fit
When the box says that it should

I stripped my soul bare
Gave you every part of me
Love, a ghost that was never there
You will always leave
I stripped my soul bare
Gave you every part of me
Love, a ghost that was never there
You will always leave

I about to pick up the pieces
Shards of my heart that you broke
Out of my life with no traces
And not a single sorry spoke
It feels like my heart has been in a crash
I don't know where to look or what to ask
But from you I get nothing
And it's from you I wish I felt something

Can't you see these tears
Rolling down my face
I've cried for you
My heart has died for you

I guess to you I now don't exist
But you're still the only thing on my wishlist
A goal I will never achieve
Not much difference there, in myself I don't believe
With you I felt something different
Like I could really do anything
Climb the highest mountain
But I guess I was just nothing

Title: Hurt Me Bad
Length: 3:20
Genre(s): Pop, R&B
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Max Martin

"Hurt Me Bad" is the third track on Elyar's second album. The track once again takes the album in a different direction, the song sees Elyar talk about having his heart broken. A topic that Elyar hasn't spoken much about in his previous works. The track was written solely by Elyar and could be about his ex girlfriend Lexi Marie Taylor or possibly about Gemma Kane. The track was produced by Max Martin who had worked with Elyar on his previous debut album back in 2014.

The track also keeps in line with the rest of the album thus far as the album has a strong pop feel however this track does have a much slower tempo than the previous two track thus far.

Three years thrown down the drain
Yet you're the one crying in floods of rain
We we're a family but now it's just pain
You caused this, your the one to blame
You caused your own pain
Oh boo hoo what a shame
Look to me for the blame
But it was you that threw it down the drain
You blew it away, took it far away
You caused this, your the one to blame

You moved on to where the grass is greener
But really your just heading to a shade of grey
You threw it away and I admit it hurt me bad
So over it now, you caused me so much pain
Serves me right for fooling around with a little girl
You hurt me bad, but it's ok
I have moved on back to grown up territory
Girl now your just a distant memory
Now we will forever just be frienemies
You hurt me bad, but it's ok
I have moved on back to grown up territory

You rob our boy of his family
But what do you care, you got you a new boy
Maybe now our boy will call him daddy
You say I'm a douche bag, but his the douche
Your caused all the problems
Oh boo hoo you're to blame
You threw it away but I'm ok
You made my life hell
Yet you say I'm to blame
Our love is down the drain
But your the one to blame
You threw the best man away
Replaced me with a douche bag
Which is just a shame

You moved on to where the grass is greener
But really your just heading to a shade of grey
You threw it away and I admit it hurt me bad
So over it now, you caused me so much pain
Serves me right for fooling around with a little girl
You hurt me bad, but it's ok
I have moved on back to grown up territory
Girl now your just a distant memory
Now we will forever just be frienemies
You hurt me bad, but it's ok
I have moved on back to grown up territory

Hurt me bad, hurt me bad
But it'll be ok, it'll go back to sane
Hurt me bad, hurt me bad
But it'll be ok, it'll go back to sane
Hurt me bad, hurt me bad
But it'll be ok, it'll go back to sane

You moved on to where the grass is greener
But really your just heading to a shade of brown
You threw it away and I admit it hurt me bad
So over it now, you caused me so much pain
Serves me right for fooling around with a little girl
You hurt me bad, but it's ok
I have moved on back to grown up territory
Girl now your just a distant memory
Now we will forever just be frienemies
You hurt me bad, but it's ok
I have moved on back to grown up territory

Title: Perfect Ten
Length: 3:10
Genre(s): Pop, R&B
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: George Blackman

'Perfect Ten' is the fourth track on Elyar's second album. The track follows on from 'Hurts Me Bad'. 'Perfect Ten' changes the mood of the album back to one that is far more positive. The track talks about a woman who Elyar deems to be the perfect woman. It was rumoured that this song was written during his relationship with Gemma Kane.

The track was produced by relatively new producer George Blackman, he has worked with Elyar on numerous tracks on the album but 'Perfect Ten' marks the producers first appearance. 'Perfect Ten' also brings the tempo of the album back up with this track being more uptempo than the previous track

When you're down and feeling blue
There's nothing better than making love to you
The way your body moves makes me wanna get loose
Freak me and turn me dirty
Fuck it just get flirty
Me and you in perfect harmony
That's the way love is supposed to be
Trust me to take you high
Get you feeling on cloud nine
One plus one may only be a two
But me and you equals the perfect ten

The way you look at me has me feeling good
You look at me with that sweet smile
Baby girl it goes for miles
You seem to think that I'm a player
But trust me I am no womanizer
All I care for is you and you're love because I adore ya

When you're down and feeling blue
There's nothing better than making love to you
The way your body moves makes me wanna get loose
Freak me and turn me dirty
Fuck it just get flirty
Me and you in perfect harmony
That's the way love is supposed to be
Trust me to take you high
Get you feeling on cloud nine
One plus one may only be a two
But me and you equals the perfect ten

I love the way you body rock
Let me get dirty on top
Who the hell tells us to stop, making love
Live it large and play it right
Girl I know I can take you high
Make you feel on cloud nine
Show you how a real man hits it
I'll always give you the best dick

When you're down and feeling blue
There's nothing better than making love to you
The way your body moves makes me wanna get loose
Freak me and turn me dirty
Fuck it just get flirty
Me and you in perfect harmony
That's the way love is supposed to be
Trust me to take you high
Get you feeling on cloud nine
One plus one may only be a two
But me and you equals the perfect ten

Perfect ten, perfect ten
Girl you're a perfect ten
Perfect tens only go for perfect men
Perfect ten, perfect ten
Let's get freaky, let's get freaky
Break the bed like a perfect night
Perfect ten, perfect ten
Girl you're a perfect ten

The body of a goddess
The mine of a devine
The face of Aphrodite
The makings of a perfect ten
My girl is a perfect
She's totally worth it
Keeps me loyal
Makes me pray like a damn royal
Gets me up like a corner street hooker
But the girls a ten out of ten
Makes me sweat in bed

When you're down and feeling blue
There's nothing better than making love to you
The way your body moves makes me wanna get loose
Freak me and turn me dirty
Fuck it just get flirty
Me and you in perfect harmony
That's the way love is supposed to be
Trust me to take you high
Get you feeling on cloud nine
One plus one may only be a two
But me and you equals the perfect ten

Perfect ten, perfect ten
Girl you're a perfect ten
Perfect tens only go for perfect men
Perfect ten, perfect ten
Let's get freaky, let's get freaky
Break the bed like a perfect night
Perfect ten, perfect ten
Girl you're a perfect ten

Tilte: Get Me (Naked)
Length: 3.04
Label: Five Pesky Kids
Genre(s): Dance-Pop, Pop
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Martin Maxwell
SOUNDS LIKE: Jake Miller - Vibration
Taken From: Expectations

_________________________________________

It's been a quiet year for Elyar Black following the break down of his relationship his kept quite a quiet existence but following the release of his latest single with Khalil Ferreira "Lonely Hearts Club Expert". It seems as if Elyar is trying to capitalise on it as he comes back with his first single in over a year with his last release being "Gold Digger". Elyar's new single "Get Me (Naked)" was teased quite a while ago but for some reason was never released until now. "Get Me (Naked)" was written by Elyar Black and follows somewhat typical lyrical flavour of being very sexual in nature. The song was produced by a relatively unknown producer called Martin Maxwell who helped give the song it's upbeat and
Lively nature. The song will be apart of Elyar's long awaited second album "Expectations" which is now supposed to be getting released early next year in 2019. "Get Me (Naked)" will be released to all major download and streaming services such as iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify.

"Get Me (Naked)" is an uptempo pop track that runs at a run time of three minutes and four seconds. The track was written some time ago and the track discusses get it on in the bedroom but first you need to get Elyar naked in order to do so. The track has a very similar sound to the other songs that Elyar has released in the last few years. His debut album had a strong R&B, Urban feel his second album is said to be much more a pop album with infections beats and hooks and this song certainly makes a good case for that. "Get Me (Naked)" will be released upon premiere and will be set to impact the chart next week giving Elyar a good shot at having two songs in the chart simultaneously.

---

Justin Ivey from XXL wrote Elyar"comes through with this track with a beat that steals the show". Joshua Espinoza of Complex wrote that "Elyar has finally found the sound that is gonna put him right up there with the likes of Kato and Joshua Grimme", also saying that the song "definitely has potential".[9] Rap-Up also praised the song saying that it "anchors the pop scene with a killer beat and strong lyrics" that. Hilary Hughes from MTV News wrote that this is a "steamy number that has all the right mixture to be a huge hit, told over a bouncy beat that would feel right at home on the floor of a beach club in the Caribbean"

James Rettig of Billboard commended Black for "taking more risks" with the song's composition than in some of his other songs, citing the beat sounds backing the chorus as an example. Spin criticized Black's sexualised lyrics for demonstrating "cultural ignorance", but concluded that the song as a whole "is the craziest song that could be a hit right now", in that Black's lyrics make those performed by other artists "appear almost tasteful". Writing for MSN, Kathy Iandoli described the song as "beat-heavy, splashy, braggy", and wrote that the lyrics lend the song "X-rated fun" by "balancing out the PG-rated verses". Rap-Up noted how "Get Me (Naked)" demonstrates a "more scandalous side" of Black that usual. Kathy Iandoli's review of the song for MSN contains the subtitle "Apparently sex is a universal language", based on Black's lyris. DJBooth reviewer Richard quipped that "Get Me (Naked)" demonstrates how when Black "spits game to beautiful women...he always manages to make himself understood"

Karen Lanza of Popcruch said Elyar "has simultaneously granted the world its next top bedroom tune and given women good reason to go shopping for sexy lingerie" and called it an "upbeat love song" Arjanwrites.com praised Elyar's vocals and writing skill in the song stating "Get Me (Naked)" neatly shows off Elyar's vocal chops and sexy songwriting savvy. It's a heartfelt, hook laden and soaring melodic ballad with a proper stomp that drives home the key message of the song."

LYRICS

Make eyes at me baby, do you like what you see?
Been lookin’ at you all night just to see you watching me
I know you’re feelin’ the way I wear my shirt tight
So come a little closer, I might let you take it off tonight

You wanna undress me with more than just your eyes
Struck with a hunger I don’t want you to disguise
Lead me to your room and get me out of these clothes
So I can unleash the heat you want me to expose

The way you move in, you got me groovin’
You came to play with me, I know what you’re doin’
So be aggressive, possessive, come get it
What you wanna give me, I promise I can take it
I wanna taste you, don’t wanna waste you
I think I wanna have my wicked way with you
So be aggressive, possessive, come take it
And don’t stop ‘til you get me
Naked

All eyes might be on me, but they’re all second best
I want your hands up on me, your palms against my chest
Push me under your shower, get me all soaking wet
Give this night an ending neither one of us wants to forget

You wanna undress me with more than just your eyes
Struck with a hunger I don’t want you to disguise
Lead me to your room and get me out of these clothes
So I can unleash the heat you want me to expose

The way you move in, you got me groovin’
You came to play with me, I know what you’re doin’
So be aggressive, possessive, come get it
What you wanna give me, I promise I can take it
I wanna taste you, don’t wanna waste you
I think I wanna have my wicked way with you
So be aggressive, possessive, come take it
And don’t stop ‘til you get me
Naked

I’ve been sizing you up while you’re dressing me down
You’ve got a lot of nerve, but I like what you’re doing now
I wanna get you alone, and you wanna get me off
Come meet me in the middle, so we can take it from the top

The way you move in, you got me groovin’
You came to play with me, I know what you’re doin’
So be aggressive, possessive, come get it
What you wanna give me, I promise I can take it
I wanna taste you, don’t wanna waste you
I think I wanna have my wicked way with you
So be aggressive, possessive, come take it
And don’t stop ‘til you get me
Naked

Title: Mighty Fine (Dime)
Length: 3:39
Genre: Pop
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Marshmallow

"Mighty Fine (Dime) is the sixth track on the album and continued on from a similar mood of the previous track, however this song is far less sexually charged than "Get Me (Naked)". The song has a strong pop vibe and was produced by Marshmallow, whom makes his second appearance on the album as a producer.

"Mighty Fine (Dime) is a song about finding the perfect woman and how fine they are and look. The song could possibly have been written about Gemma Kane, however "Mighty Fine (Dime) is so far the track that had the slowest tempo of the entire album.

Falling hard, falling fast but somehow the dream last
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Nothing can compete, you make me complete
It's time to bump and grind, flex and flow, girl it's time to put on a show
Make everyone know this love isn't just for show
It's real it's proper, nobody will ever top her
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Hot damn your mighty fine

Sometimes you gotta just express how you feel
That way it makes everything real
We talk, we, fight but everything always works out right
It's a case of kiss and make up, sex or break up
Nothing will change, that's way it'll be
Expressing feelings can get too real, too serious, far to delirious
In the end nothing matters, it's all just a game
Love and war, war and pain either way the story remains the same

We're like Romeo and Juilet only without the drama
Like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde, but without any karma
The love bug strikes and takes it's flight
No matter what, the love is pure and simple
Just like our matching dimples, it makes us equal

Falling hard, falling fast but somehow the dream last
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Nothing can compete, you make me complete
It's time to bump and grind, flex and flow, girl it's time to put on a show
Make everyone know this love isn't just for show
It's real it's proper, nobody will ever top her
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Falling hard, falling fast but somehow the dream last
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Dime, dime, dime baby girl your a dime
Hot damn your mighty fine

My heart skips a beat, my knees get weak
Whenever I see that body so unique, on fleek
Your a freak between the sheets
Just me and you touchy feely under the covers
Oops that's how we made a bubba, little tubba, beautiful bubba
The love is right, the love is strong but most of all it's the bomb
Our love is on fire, oh it turns me on, it's still burning strong
It's always a reality check when you step in my line of sight
It gives me a fright, but it's oh so right

We're like Romeo and Juilet only without the drama
Like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde, but without any karma
The love bug strikes and takes it's flight
No matter what, the love is pure and simple
Just like our matching dimples, it makes us equal

Falling hard, falling fast but somehow the dream last
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Nothing can compete, you make me complete
It's time to bump and grind, flex and flow, girl it's time to put on a show

It's real it's proper, nobody will ever top her
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Falling hard, falling fast but somehow the dream last
Worth my emotions, worth my time baby girl your a dime
Dime, dime, dime baby girl your a dime
Hot damn your mighty fine

When ever we get to kiss, it's just pure bliss
It's so good I never wanna miss
You've got a beautiful face and beautiful smile, think I'll stay a while
The love metre is off the scale, for our love cannot be measured
It's something that deserves to be treasured and pleasured
The body you have is so on fleek, it makes loving you so sweet
Our love is cosmic, our love is outerspace, either way our love cannot be misplaced
It's build to last, no matter what anyone says
I may be 24 and you just 18 but love is love it shouldn't be denied

We're like Romeo and Juilet only without the drama
Like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde, but without any karma
The love bug strikes and takes it's flight
No matter what, the love is pure and simple
Just like our matching dimples, it makes us equal

Title: Super Power
Length: 3.35
Label: Five Pesky Kids Records
Release Date: Tuesday, January 17th 2017
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Diplo
Taken From The Album: Unclassified

2017 has seen a burst in activity from all artist currently with a lot of new music coming forward and for 24 year-old Elyar Black that is no different as he hasn't released music in quick some time but now he is back with a brand new single, "Super Power" marks Elyar's first single in almost 2 year the last time we heard from Elyar was in early 2015 when he released "Neon Lights" which was rumored to be from his second album however it is unknown weather the song will now be a stand alone single or weather it will feature on his second album or not.

"Super Power" marks the return of his pop sound with his previous album being a blend of R&B and pop, Elyar is sticking with just pop for his new record predominantly, "Super Power" was written by the 24 year-old himself and is one of his less dirty singles as Elyar has been known in the past to write a lot about his sex life, however his seems to be more sutle now with this new album, the new single was produced by Diplo marking the first time the producer and Elyar had worked together on a track, "Super Power" will be released to all major streaming services and download outlets on January, 17th 2017. Elyar teasee the track on SoundCloud a few weeks ago now and the response to the track has been positive thus far.

The reasoning behind his disappearance has been acknowledged numerous times as in early 2016 Elyar became a father and has spent the last year being a father to his son, he also gave his girlfriend Lexi Marie Taylor her time to release her own music to the world and she achieved two huge hits last year, however the 24 year-old never stays out of the media partly due to his family and the 6 year age difference between himself and Lexi, but the star has claimed numerous times that 2017 would see the star return to music and it seems that's true hence this single and hopefully more will follow the rest of the year and his second album will be released in 2017 as well, which will be the follow up to his debut algum "Elyar" which was released all the way back in 2014 meaning his second album will be his first in almost 3 years. The question remains weather Elyar's new music will be successful or not as his fans have been waiting a long time for new music and his name alone thanks to his older brother Adam is tarnished and his labelled in the same way as his brother which has somewhat alway effected his career despite the fact he and Adam are totally different people, but only time will tell if Elyar can achieve something in music again with his new music and "Super Power" seems like it could be a big step in the right direction for the 24 yead-old.

"Super Power" wad lauded by music critics. Brennan Carley of Spin called it "pop perfection", "a thoroughly definitive, all-in jam" and predicted the song could reach high levels of airplay and ubiquity." Time's Esther Zuckerman deemed the song a "New Favorite Contender for Song of the 2017" and wrote that the chorus was "infectious". Jason Lipshutz of Billboard named it one of the "10 Best Songs of 2017 (So Far)".

Consequence of Sound compared the sound of the song to Michael Jackson. Complex wrote: "The song has a classic pop feel to it, with Elyar channeling a bit of Kato while crooning over the bouncy, and energetic production from Diplo." Pitchfork's reviewer Renato Pagnani placed it in the Best New Track category and made the same comparison: "Perhaps recognizing just how dead-on it could be a Kato record", the producers anchor the track with a bassline that could have come from an alternate-dimension.

Billboard also picked "Super Power" as the best song of 2017 thus far. "Elyar's irresistible, Kato-esque "Super Power" is so perfectly crafted that it's impossible to imagine a world or alternative reality in which this song isn't number one. There are enough hooks in this one single for a dozen chart-toppers, but Elyar Black has managed to packed them all into three-and-a-half minutes of sheer ecstasy.

LYRICS

(Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey)
Ohhhh, baby

Title: Say Wow
Length: 3.03
Genre(s): Pop, Dance-Pop
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Marshmallow

'Say Wow' is the eighth track on the album and brings us a bit of the old Elyar back from his first album. 'Say Wow' is by far the most sexually explicit track on the album so far. The song has an infections pop-hook, that makes you wanna listen despite the racy lyrical content.

The track was written by Elyar himself and we can no doubt imagine that this song is about Gemma Kane or Lexi Marie Taylor depending on when the track was actually penned, Marshmallow was once again called in to work on the track and created the infections pop sound.

Its Elly baby
Yeah

Hey sexy what's ya name
All the girls looking hella sexy
Put your hands up let me see ya get naked
Take it off I wanna see what you got

All the girls looking hella sexy
Put your hands up let me see ya get naked
Take it off I wanna see what you got

Baby I'm going hard undercover
Licking on your kitty
While I am playing in your putter
Imma go under your body already is soaked
Im a freak by nature
I'm playing in your grassland
Who turned on the sprinkler
Girl I love it when you climb on top
Baby, baby

I didn't expect to get wet
Damn that was a bet
My girl bad as hell
She drop it low like a vet
She let me go, go deep
She took it all no teeth
Just the type of girl I like
Oh girl, she does takes it like a pro
Ever time I come around she gives me more
Hey, I ain't gotta ask for nothing
She gives it up no discussion

It's just me and you in this room tonight
All our clothes on the ground
We can go for another round
So girl bring it here come sit it down

All the girls looking hella sexy
Put your hands up let me see ya get naked
Take it off I wanna see what you got
Cos all them girls can't do what you do
Ain't got no money cos I spent it all on you
Baby can you say wow, say wow

Title: Ruffed Up
Length: 3:45
Genre(s): Pop, Euro-Pop
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: William Erikson

"Ruffed Up" is the ninth track on the album and follows on from the previous track in the fact that the song is very racy and lyrically very, very explicit. The song describes having rough sex with a woman and making her feel good by doing so.

The song is a pop song with a strong Euro pop sound. The song was written by Elyar himself and was produced by William Erikson, whom makes his first appearance as a producer on the album. The song was well received in it's demo form but has since been built upon.

Wow... (wow...) wow...

It's your birthday so I got turn you out
Even if it only down in my place
Sip on love as you sit up on my lap
Feels good but I know you got to grind it out

You yell at me girl (I think know it)
Get steady for me girl (don't go fussing)
We making shapes girl (you feel like jigsaw)
Just tell me if you want fast girl

Girl I know I-i-i
Girl I know I-i-i
I been dreaming
Woke up last night thinking about you loving me
Girl I know I-i-i
Girl I know I-i-i
Don't need to make wait
Just need me to give you

Ruffed up sex
Ruffed up sex
(it's your favourite thing to do girl)
Ruffed up sex
Ruffed up sex
(if I'm hot, it's hot, lemme hit that g-spot, g-spot girl)

See you grinding on me baby let me in
1,2,3, think it's time I win
Don't go now work it to the end
Cry out but I know to start again

We sexing ruff girl (cause it's your birhday)
Been loving for hours (now I'm thirsty)
You kiss me as we love (taste just like me see)
Just tell if it hurts to much girl

Girl I know I-i-i
Girl I know I-i-i
I been dreaming
Woke up last night thinking about you loving me
Girl I know I-i-i
Girl I know I-i-i
Don't need to make wait
Just need me to give you

Ruffed up sex
Ruffed up sex
(it's your favourite thing to do girl)
Ruffed up sex
Ruffed up sex
(if I'm hot, it's hot, lemme hit that g-spot, g-spot girl)

First I'm gonna drive down deep into your sprinkler
Deep until I know I make worth it, worth it (aooh)
Or girl without much room I might just sex you of your feet
Mkae you wanna scream out (I'm good)
Or maybe we can make love in bed (bed)
You close your eyes as I work my tongue between your legs (your legs)
We work our love from bathroom to tables
Girl you know I'm that willing to please you....Yea
You say you wanted a gift on the bed
But you got me fucking you hours on the bed

Girl I know I-i-i
Girl I know I-i-i
I been dreaming
Woke up last night thinking about you loving me
Girl I know I-i-i
Girl I know I-i-i
Don't need to make wait
Just need me to give you

Ruffed up sex
Ruffed up sex

Title: Neon Lights
Length: 3:08
Genre(s): Pop Rap, Dance-Pop
Label: Five Pesky Kids Records
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Ryan Tedder, Max Martin
SOUNDS LIKE: Jake Miller - Yellow Lights

_______________________________________________________________________

With 2015 drawing to a close many artists are getting in there releases in time for Christmas and for Elyar Black it means it's time to start his new album era, 2015 has been a quite year for the younger of the two Black brothers, with Elyar ending off his last album era in January of this year, when he released "In Your Head", for the remainder of this year Elyar has been busy making a new album set for release in 2016 and his stint in Celebrity Big Brother as well as having time to start a family of his own, but now the 23 year-old is back and ready to kickstart his new album era with a new single.

"Neon Lights" is the new single in question and is the lead from his upcoming second studio album "Changes In Me", the single marks are rather big change from the stars past material, with "Neon Lights" boasting a heavy dance/pop mix while his past material had a more urban flavor, "Neon Lights" was written by Elyar Black himself and like some of his older material production was handled by Max Martin and Ryan Tedder, who bring the song to life with an infection hook, the track will be released through Five Pesky Kids Records on the 8th of December and looks to warm up the cold winter.

"Neon Lights" is a Pop Rap song with an infection Dance beat present in the chorus, the track features less auto-tune and vocal alterations than his previous material and also shows of Elyar's cheeky and fun side with his rapping that he was discovered for coming into the song, which wasn't present at all in his first era, the track boast a slightly less explicit vibe as the lyrics are slightly more tame than we usually see from the 23 year-old who's known to occasionally go into depth about his junk in his pants and sex, this song is no different but is certainly far more subtle when it comes to the topic of sex.

CRITICAL RECEPTION
________________________________________________________________________

"Neon Lights" received positive reviews from music critics. Jezebel's Bobby Finger described the song as "the cold fusion of pop songs, a track that will keep its listeners moving and jamming for a long time, a great lead single if ever there was one." Consequence of Sound applauded the collaboration with Ryan Tedder and Max Martin, saying "the results are beyond promising. It’s a funky number marked by warm dancy rhythms and half arsed rapping that surprisingly works." Brennan Carley of Spin wrote that the song "starts with a dull drum-n-bass sound before exploding into an infectious burst if pop goodness in the chorus." USA Today's Maeve McDermott wrote: "Neon Lights"' is just as much of an earworm as his previous single 'In Your Head', but with a electronic rap infused production." Jikael Wood of the Los Angeles Times called it "airy dance/rap banger that makes the singer's first big hit, the puppyish 'Sex Babe', seem like an artifact from a different era entirely so progress is being made." Time's Nolan Feeney also appreciated the song saying: "With a beat as funky as this song boast, there is no way this song will leave your head for days." Dee Lockett of Vulture.com wrote: "it's a rap-flavored dance beat over which Elyar raps and sings without any real effort at all."

Carly Mallenbaum, who heard "Neon Lights?" in early November, described it as "catchy". Similarly, a writer for The Daily Beast said, "Neon Lights" is a pretty damn catchy; and instantly recognizable tune, that will stay in your head for days". Gil Kaufman of MTV News also called it a "banger", explaining, "the track is classic Elyar: seductive, earnest, pleading and just the right amount of sexy without being to rude". Idolator's Mike Wass praised the song's "instantly memorable chorus", and added, "Vocally, Elyar has never sounded better". Digital Spy's Lewis Corner felt Elyar's vocals were "plain and bland" stating that his voice lacked, well a voice, further stating that Elyar should leave the singing to his brother or go back to the auto-tune. Andrew Unterberger of Spin opined the song was "really a catchy infectious tune". Jason Lipshutz of Billboard gave the song a four star rating and commented that it was "positioned as Elyar's huge bid to reignite his career for his second album era", and said, "Neon Lights" synthesizes the positive components of Elyar's past music but bring in a more calm free and more infectious pop sound to the stars musical repitore, as well as introducing Elyar's music to a whole new audience of fans.

Look, works it up on the regular

So I'm bout to get it up, like a predator
Lately I've been loving you just right
Cause she gets to have it every almost night

Sending pictures to me

She gets so horny
That's why she ringin'
She got me speeding

All through neon lights
She craving, wanting me to give it right
I'm running, craving for the morning light
Hence why I'm speeding through these neon lights
Can't second guess, she wants me bad
She wants me bad
Can't second guess, I'm loving that

Can't second guess cos she wants me bad
Full throttle, need for speed on this running bag
Cop chasing in my lane boo
Tryna stop me now, ha, no chance of that
I'm swerving lanes, think quick

Like "I'm ready, give it to me"

She gets so horny
That's why she ringin'

All through neon lights
She craving, wanting me to give it right
I'm running, craving for the morning light
Hence why I'm speeding through these neon lights
Can't second guess, she wants me bad

Can't second guess, she wants me bad
She wants me bad
Can't second guess, I'm loving that
She wants me bad, so bad
Can't second guess, I'm loving that

Title: In The Flow
Length: 3:36
Genre(s): Pop, R&B
Written By: Elyar Black
Produced By: Elyar Black

"In The Flow" is the eleventh track on the album and brings the album back down to a more chilled out pace. The track is showing a girl his moves but soon realizes that maybe she could actually teach him a thing or two. The track was written by Elyar himself and was rumoured to be one of the first tracks that was placed on the album but was re-worked several times. The track also marks the first time Elyar takes on a producing role producing the entire by himself.

The song has a much more urban vibe to it that previous tracks, however the track does manage to still float between that pop urban divide quite well.

In the flow, yeah, in the flow, oh yeah

Some times it about what you say, ay-oh
When it works out its just a game, ay-oh
Instead of talking lets just play the game, yeah
Get to the loving, skip fourplay

Just come over now, say hello and I'll show
I'll be your student, you show me the flow
Show me ways to love I never knew
I can see it working now, working now

In the flow, I see you loving me
In the flow, you come get your ecstacy
In the flow, we'll be playing now
In the flow, it's working now
In the flow, it's working now
In the flow

Break it down, ay-oh
Come on, ay-oh, ay-oh
You screaming to me baby in this room right now
Ay-oh, ay-oh, come on
Imma moan out when its all done now

Just come over now, say hello and I'll show
I'll be your student, you show me the flow
Show me ways to love I never knew
I can see it working now, working now

In the flow, I see you loving me
In the flow, you come get your ecstacy
In the flow, we'll be playing now
In the flow, it's working now
In the flow, it's working now
In the flow, yeah, in the flow, oh yeah

In the flow, I see you loving me
In the flow, you come get your ecstacy
In the flow, we'll be playing now
In the flow, it's working now
In the flow, it's working now
In the flow, yeah, in the flow, oh yeah
