JoshuaGrimmie: @ConservativeBetty I grew up in a very Liberal household who opened my eyes to the bigger picture. I have this privilege but I am also aware of it. For many other whites, they enjoy white privilege without even knowing they have it as they're born into that safe bubble. Seeing relatable faces and representation on TV? Being able to live without fear of persecution? Not being "bothered" by politics? Knowing that your life won't be THAT impacted by whoever is in office? Not having the cops called on you for breathing? That's white privilege, Betty.

ConservativeBetty: It sounds like your parents just wanted to make you feel bad cause they felt like they have done something wrong when. A lot of people, white, left their country cause they were getting religious persecution. There are a lot of people that look like me and it is a numbers game when it comes to representation. Do I feel threated when I see a black man? No, but would I be worried if I was in a bad neighborhood with crime and murder counts high. Of course, I would and who wouldn't be. They don't want to live in the ghetto either. People want what is best for themselves and their children. So instead of blaming my fathers or me, Go and make your life better. Don't rely on sports to get you out when the chances of that happening are slim to none. Pick up a book, go to your library use your phone and get an education then just relying on the GOVERNMENT to provide for you. |
