Kai wakes up and rolls out of bed, with Rocket bounding along behind him. He looks down and laughs a little. The little dog was always following Kai these days, almost like he looked up to him. "Alright pal?" Kai says with a tired croaky voice, which causes Rocket to start wagging his tail and leaping up at him. He bends down and picks him up, carrying him into the kitchen. He puts Rocket up on the counter as he starts to make a coffee, with Rocket walking along the counter following his every step. When he finishes the coffee, he picks the dog up again and goes to sit on the couch, putting Rocket on his knee, where he lays down and curls up.

Kai sups on his coffee contentedly as he sits quietly stroking Rocket. For all he loved his wild lifestyle most of the time, sometimes he just loved the chance to sit first thing in the morning in the quiet of his living room enjoying the early morning peace that even LA had at times. After a while, he turns on the tv, keeping the volume low so as not to wake Honor. She hasn't been herself lately, and Kai wanted to let her sleep so she would feel better.

When Kai hears Honor get up, he looks down at Rocket whose ears immediately prick up and he stares at the door as he waits for Honor. When she comes in his tail starts to wag fast and Kai smiles. "Morning, beautiful," Kai smiles, kissing her softly. When she scolds the dog, he looks up at Kai for support. "Oh I know, Rocket, she's always bitching at us, in't she?" he jokes, playfully ruffling Honor's hair. "Did you sleep well, babe?"

Kai twists some of Honor's hair lightly around his finger mindlessly as he watches TV. "Good? Me? Aye you know me, love. Head on t'pillow and I'm out like a light, innit?" He smiles when she lifts Rocket up and talks to him, causing Rocket to start licking her face excitedly. When she leans on Kai, he puts his arm around her and rubs her arm. "What do you wanna do today then, love?" Kai was mindful that since he had been stabbed, he had stayed in a lot more often than he used to because it still hurt at times. But he didn't want Honor to get bored, even if they did have some crazy nights that would floor most other people. They were a couple who just loved life and they were never scared to live it to the max.

"I've always been like that. If I were smarter, I coulda been a fucking university student. Them bastards love to sleep all day. When I were on Warped I would sleep to like 10 minutes before show time. I love sleeping," he laughs. Kai looks over at her as she talks about the pumpkin patch. "I've never been to one before. I mean sure if you wanna go, we totally can. You can carve it though. I hate the smell." When she mentions costumes, he smirks. "What are we gonna go as? And are we gonna match? Yeah, I'm coming, especially if you're offering anal," he jokes.

"I can't be that damn stupid anyhow. Somehow managed to make all that money and bag the hottest chick," he winks at her. Kai shrugs as he listens to her and nods. "Yeah, sure. I'm gonna wear one of them masks though. Pumpkin smell really gets to me. I'll bear it though, for you," he says with a smile before raising his eyebrows. "Oh really? And what would that amazing thing be? I'm sure I would do anything to unlock the keys to your ass," he chuckles.

"I just work my way in. When I see something I want, I just gotta have it. No denying that when it comes to you anyway," he laughs and sits forward to put his cup down. "I've never done one before, so it'll be triangle eyes and nose and a jaggy mouth. No other carving skills," he laughs. Kai had never really done Halloween before, but he didn't mind doing it for Honor. "I'm sure you'll blow them away, love. I might dress as Rocket. Or just like a really awesome zombie. Like hire a pro makeup artist to do it." He laughs with her. "Halloween is a pretty special occasion," he winks.

"Scary? It'll probably look like a victim by the time I'm done with it, given my lack of previous carving experience," he laughs. "Yeah, get us a pumpkin with safety wheels on it," he says with a little laugh. When she drinks from his coffee, Kai smiles at her. It was sweet that she was so comfortable with him that she was happy to share his food and drink. "I hope you in't got that ebola, love," he jokes, rubbing her back. "Yeah I think we're alright, me and Billy, like." When she makes the statement about her butt, Kai smirks. "Deal. Even I can behave meself for a bit of that," he winks, kissing her.

Kai hadn't noticed Honor wincing in pain at all since she had been getting stomach problems. She masked it well and even though she was sometimes quiet, it was never enough to cause concern. He laughs a little at her comment. "True. We've been like a couple of recluses since we moved here. Except for the wild nights at the bar." Kai smiles. Honor and he were almost legendary when they went out. Mostly because they really went for it when they wanted to have a good time. Be takes a drink from his coffee and shrugs. "I can deal with her being there. As long as she leaves me alone there won't be any trouble. I'm not about to spoil your party after all," he smiles.

"Of course, those wild nights in bed...and mornings...afternoons...whenever really," he laughs, kissing her. Honor was the love of Kai's life - he knew that for a long time, but moving in with her had only gone to strengthen that belief even more and prove it to him. When she puts her feet up, he starts to absent mindedly give her a foot rub. He shrugs. "If she comes near me I'll just walk away." He raises an eyebrow and looks over at Honor. "Really? What you going as?"
