Vara just shrugs in response to Mariko's counter offer. "Like I said before, I don't know the woman. I just don't want my little Mariko getting hurt." She winks and giggles flirtatiously, going right back into the same Vara that she was when she had walked into the club. "No, really, Trent and I are fine. I'm just an attention whore that isn't getting everything that she wants right now. Did you see the album that him and that other guy are putting on? Fabulous."

"Well, that's... not a great start to a relationship, but okay," Vara says back, laughing a little bit at the idea of them warning each other that the other person might get hurt. "That really just set the mood for the whole relationship. 'It's okay for me to cheat on her, because I warned her to begin with that she might get hurt.'" She shakes her head, smirking a bit. "Not that I think you would do that. That's more of a Rum thing." She smiles and puts her arm around Mariko, squeezing her towards her for a moment, and then releasing. "The thing that he has set up with this guy is awesome - like there's a manic, happy, crazy side, and then there's a depressive, sad, mellow side. If Trent and I made music, it'd be a depressive, sad, mellow side and a depressive, sad, mellow side. No happy. This is just better." She laughs.

Vara laughs and sneaks a little kiss on Mariko's cheek. "I'll lay off you for a bit. I would hate to be what breaks you and the girl up. Then I'd feel just awful." She shakes her head. The smile remains on her face when she mentions the 'sexual tension' between her and Trent. She knows that Mariko is kidding, but she still doesn't like the idea of Trent feeling anything sexual towards anybody else but her. She shakes her head again at Mariko. "No, it's not terrible. It's just our kind of music. He makes depressing music, I make depressing music. Put that together and you get... oh! Depressing music!"

Vara smirks at Mariko's description of Nina. Maybe she could fight, but Vara could, too. And she wasn't going to let anybody kick Mariko's ass. "Yeah, I don't think that whole 'two negatives equal a positive' thing works in real life, Mari. I think that's just in the math world. In the real world, two negatives equals a bad time at a party."

Vara laughs. "Yeah, I don't think I'll be taking home any girls any time soon. It was fun with you because you understood that I have a boyfriend and everything like that. Most girls don't get that. I guess my days of fooling around are over." She pouts a little bit and then shrugs. "It's not really a big deal. We're just, you know... Okay, like, say there's a scale from 1 to 20, and 10 is, like, normal, and 1 is super super depressive and 20 is super super manic. Trent and I are both at the same level, which is - maybe - 6 or 7. That's better than one of us being at a 4 and the other being, like, 19. We work just fine together. We get each other."

"Awww..." Vara blushes a bit when Mariko says that she wants what Trent and Vara have. "Well... thank you. I hope you have what we have some day. But you need the sour to appreciate the sweet. I know that sounds like a cop-out, but I'm serious. When you find yourself in the right situation, you'll be happy that you had to go through all the bullshit to get there."

Vara's grin grows across her face. "Ooooh! What? Mariko has a crush on her best friend? And who could her best friend be, huh? Is it... Vara Gallo?! Yes?!" She giggles hysterically, finding all of this just too much. "That's way too adorable, Mariko."

"Right, Mariko. You hid it SO well. I never would have guessed from the multiple hook ups we had, or the threesome, or anything like that. In fact, I assumed you hated me and everything I stood for." Vara laughs and shakes her head, dropping her sarcasm. "Your secret is safe with me. Don't worry, baby."

Vara's eyes narrow. "You think you're a bad girlfriend because you thought about another girl's boobs. Sweetie, if that's what makes you a bad girlfriend, then everybody who is into boobs is a bad significant other." She shakes her head and takes a drink, listening to Mariko. "Wait... If I had still been into it, you would have still fooled around with me even with Nina in the picture?"

Vara narrows her eyes just a bit more. "I don't know what the hell that last part means, but if its 'dumb hoe', you're not far from the mark!" She says back, speaking softly but quick and harsh. "No. If you're going to date this girl, then you're not allowed to sleep around with other women. Men, maybe, I don't know what sort of deal you and Nina have worked out, but not women. You have a woman..." She laughs a bit and shakes her head. "Bad Mariko! Bad!"
