It had been a few months since Jack had found himself with a home in the industry in the form of Head South Records, a debut single that outperformed expectations was a nice position to be in, but it was important for Jack not to allow that to alter his own trajectory. No talk show appearances, no paparazzi shots of him with the latest trending popstar on his arm and definitely no award ceremonies. He had received a couple of brief messages from one or two in the industry, but they were just that, brief and he suspected insincere. But one interaction certainly felt different, Riley had absolutely no real reason in Jack’s eyes to make the effort to reach out, not only complimenting his debut single but also keeping in touch beyond just a complimentary statement on a song that found a little buzz. In their messages back and forth, it was clear that Riley had a lot of traits that was familiar to Jack, either through his own upbringing or his own extremely down to earth friendship group back home. Jack was down south for around 4 weeks, currently in the process of recording what would be the first stages of his debut album.
