Astra laughs again, her full-smile laugh. "I'm sure it's not that annoying. But thank you for not disturbing the viewing with it," she jokes with him as she takes a sip of her own drink. "One of your dancers... hmmm... I can't think of who that might be, but all the cast and crew were allowed to invite people, so it could have been anybody. Glad somebody came though. Nice to meet you, Mr..." She pauses, letting him fill in the blank. Astra sticks out her tongue when Reese starts talking about rom-coms. She wasn't a huge fan of them, although her writing tended to border on rom-coms occasionally. "Well, I'm sorry you had to go through that. Surely there's support groups for rom-com victims somewhere."

Reza blushes a little when Ansley tells her that she's too pretty to be alone and looks down. "Well, you're very sweet, thank you," she says, smoothing out her dress. "It's not every day that my outfit gets compliments by an expert in fashion. I'll have to remember this night." The jazz band strikes up a tune and Reza smiles. "Oh, I love this song..."

"Oh, exactly!" Astra says with an exasperated gasp when Veronica says that it's nice to get out of the house. In the month or so leading up to the premiere, she had spent most of her time inside, preparing and writing for the next season. She needed to be out tonight. "Good! That's the best part! Connection with the fans, or whatever. It's what I like the most, anyway." Astra finishes her drink and sets the empty glass down, making a motion for the bartender to refill it.

"Well, very nice to meet you, Mr. Hollinsworth. I'm Astra Thivierge." She smiles at him as the bartender refills her empty glass. She takes a sip and giggles as Reese continues talking, nodding and active listening. It wasn't until he says that the heels he was wearing were killing him that she really started paying attention. She glances down at his feet. Indeed, he was wearing heels. Living in California and being in the entertainment industry, it wasn't the most unusual thing she'd ever seen, but she liked the surprise. "Here, sit down. I know I can't stand for longer than a few minutes in heels," she says, pulling the bar stool next to her out for him.

"Rehearsal, huh? I might have heard of you before, then. Tell me what you do again," Astra says back, turning to face Reese after he sits down. She didn't listen to the radio much, or keep up with celebrity names and faces, so she was a bit clueless when it came down to things like that. Many of the musicians that she and Reza cast in the show she had only heard of after they were cast. She laughs knowingly, nodding when Reese talks about the height help he has with heels. "Oh, I know that plight. I'm five-eight, but I'm sure most people assume I'm much taller with the heels I always wear around."

"Oh, wow," Astra says back. Hearing that somebody was a singer was always impressive, but was less so for somebody who daily worked with musicians and celebrities. But Astra still smiled politely at Resse, and nodded when he asked if she was coming to his album release party. "Sure, sure. Can I take my wife?" she asks, pointing to Reza behind her, laughing. Of course, they weren't really married, but it had become an on-going joke between the two of them to refer to each other as their wife, since they spent so much time together anyway. "I blame Nicholas Lestage for our height helpers, but that's just me." She giggles and winks.

Kellin was not used to going to celebrity parties at all. He had been to one or two in his time, but it wasn't something he was used to, which made him a little nervous about arriving here tonight. What was making him even more nervous was the fact that this was essentially the first public appearance for himself and Ansley since they got together some months before. He was happy to be here to support her in her big venture onto TV though, so he was excited as well as nervous. He always loved hanging with Ansley, and just last week they had had the best time together just watching wrestling and eating junk food at his house. The nerves were also not being helped by something he wanted to tell Ansley, something big. But he knew tonight was the night he should tell her for sure. As he arrived at the door, dressed in a black suit with a white shirt and black tie, he gave his name and was permitted to enter the party. As soon as he got in, he started looking around for Ansley.

Astra smiles. "Then of course we'll be there!" she says happily, clapping her hands. She had just told Veronica that she was tired of being stuck in her house all day, so it was exciting to know that she was making plans to get out more already. "I don't see why not. Here. CHARLIE!" The bartender turns around suddenly, a bit irritated. It was becoming more and more obvious that his name wasn't really Charlie. "This is Mr. Hollinsworth. You should get to know him, he's super sweet."

"Hmm... I like it so much more when you play dirty, darling," Vara says back with a giggle. The mention of ice cream immediately made Vara wish that they had some as well. But not just any ice cream. What she really wanted was some good, classic Italian ice cream. "After the party, I'll take you to get some gelato. There has to be some in Los Angeles, right?"

" dirty huh?" Mariko grins and looks down slightly before placing her hand dangerously high on vara's thigh. " if you are just practicing lines,this will probably be very awkward." She says with a laugh. " that sounds delicious. I have never spent a lot of time in this city,but yesterday I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce and I got egg noodles and ketchup." She says with her best ray liotta

Reese doesn't know why, but his face feels warm at the smile the bartender gave him. "Shame," Reese mutters at the mention of the bartender being straight. "He's the hottest guy I've seen the whole night." He glances back at the bartender, looks him up and down and turns back to Astra. "Though I would rethink about his sexuality. My gaydar may be rusty at the moment, but a straight man never dresses that well." He shrugs. "Just saying."

" well,I do think chef boyardee has its time and place." Mariko says with a thoughtful gaze.certain aspects of Italian living had spoiled her. The garish cityscape of los Angeles was an eye sore.did they even try to make it look appealing to the eye? Mariko sips her drink as her other hand is grabbed. She adored jazz music and dancing....but didn't know how one was supposed to dance to it. " I can...just not to this. Do we slow dance?" She asks slightly louder due to the band.
