You should probably have that checked. Kids today'll do anything for kicks. Or a decent high,quick fuck,cash,approval,and love. Yeah, they are all covered by the the term "kicks". I don't literally mean they'll do anything for an excuse to kick things, though of coursing kicking does give certain types a kick. |

OK, I'm just watching season 1 of Californication's finale. It is fucking brilliant. Hilarious. It's got tiny bits of awkward humour (not too much like The Office had where it became literally unwatchable for me), but David Duchovny is fucking great here. Honestly, who DOESN'T want to be Hank Moody? Total fuckup, but there's something to be said for that. |

I've been out jogging for most of the morning. I thought, I've got a new job and I should probably get in shape. Fitness hasn't got anything to do with the job I'm gonna be doing but it's always nice to be slim and toned, make a good 1st impression I guess. |

@forkboy - Well, one of my closest friends recently passed away from alcohol abuse, and I've chosen to commit myself to being straight edge since then. Tattoos have a weird sort of spirituality in my mind, and this is kinda like inking a contract, it reminds me of all the pain my friend Paul put everyone through, and how I must never fall to those same levels again. Dunno, a lot of people are anti-tattoos, but personally I really enjoy them. The one place I don't get tattoos on though is my arms, because while tattoos are meant to be seen, I don't feel like flashing all mine to the world whenever I wear short sleeves or anything.
@Rince - Haha, oh well?
@Daniel - Haha, pass? Ah well, I've had 8 other tattoos done before, like I said up in my message to forkboy, they have a sort of spiritual power to them, and I think it's almost like a story of my life, it reminds me of what's important to me.
@Ryland - Not as of 2 weeks ago when my friend Paul passed. Read forkboy's answer for my detail on why I guess.

I'm totally not down on tattoos. I mean I do tend to criticise others tatts, it's my own horrible problem, I'm a hater.
I can to a certain point understand the attraction the straight edge lifestyle, especially if you've been through something like the loss of a friend. But I dunno, I think that straight edge is kinda...it is an unhealthy lifestyle, verging on cultish. I know folk who don't drink, don't do drugs, and it's cool, whatever makes them happy. But when you associated a label with it all gets kinda more...I dunno. Just weird. I mean it was never meant to be a set of rules, moral guidelines at the very most but even that is kind of a step too far.
And hey, you're a man of the world, you've surely sat in a bar drinking a whisky or what not and come across this guy with X's tattooed on his hand, and it looks fucking ridiculous. :p
Seriously though tattoos are for life man, you're obviously dealing with grief so I can only suggest you don't rush in to something like that. Take your time, evaluate things in a few weeks time. |
