That always worked for me until last year.
But that's because the school I am right now doesn't request reports, homeworks or anything of the sort :P

Yeah, but with 8 classes, I'm bound to have homework all the time.

On a related note, I really should be working on a History report due on Tuesday, but I really don't wanna.

History report about what? I love History.

Robert E. Lee and his Tactics in the Civil War.

-sigh- Seriously, how the fuck am I supposed to know that?

I'd recommend reading up on the subject.

Of course as far as Civil Wars go the Yank one is dull. I'm more of a fan of the Spanish Civil War. And the English one has a certain charm to it, with the whole puritan crazy Christians, the diggers, the ranters, lots of interesting radicals associated with that, then you have the New Model Army as well.

Yeah, but the US civil war is hilarious because the south were the democrats and the north were the republicans. Now we're living in some kind of Bizarro World where half of America accuses the Democrats of being Marxists.

Well, since we're in the Bizarro World in this concept, they'd only be that in the normal non Bizarro World.

first of all... which English civil war, there have been three to date, all of which were very interesting (but for obviously different reasons)..
secondly... yes i agree the Spanish Civil war is very interesting, incredibly sad, but interesting.. Especially when it highlights the very worst extremes on both sides of the political spectrum.
Thirdly... The American Civil war is again, interesting, despite what some people think. Bearing in mind it was the worlds first truely modern war and show cased what was to come in the first world war.. Robert E Lee is a fantstic character and i actually wish i got to do things that interesting when i was at school, instead of learning about the Tudors and Romans about five times...
I hate it when people see me at the supermarket and they are like:
Hey, what are you doing here?
and im just like:
Oh you know, hunting elephants

Well the 3 wars tend to get lumped together by lazy folk by me as one (and laymen) due to them all happening within a very short period of time and having a largely similar supporting cast. I've growing interest essentially in the period that started with the Covenanters in Scotland all the way to the restoration of the crown with Charles II.

In fact, that reminds me. Last night saw the return of A History Of Scotland to the BBC, a bloody marvellous piece of television. I believe the episode last night is all about the Covenanters. Must jump on the iPlayer and see that.

ok if we are going to be pedantic five civial wars then...

Stephen of Blois and matilda
the war of the roses
the english civil wars (lumping them together)..

it sounds petty, but it really annoys me when people talk about "the civil war"... as if there was only one.

Quentin Symons goes by many names, aliases to obscure his trail. Fake names such as Hugh Letz, Thorian Everwentz, Garston Birdhale, Jeremy Pigeon, Reece Anchorhead, Wellington Torbets, George Vanderbelt, Patrick Vanderbelt, Matthew Vanderbelt, Gordon Vanderbelt, Nick Watt, Nick Whye, Nick Weir, Nick Nack, Nick Noodle, Kate LeHud, Amply Goingoggles... The list goes on.

Henry Threadbart, Hiroshima Jackson, Franklin Hoosawitz, Randalph MacGilvery, Theobald Neumonnich, Trent Nievenhiezen, Newt Picklebaum, Stout Twain, Comma Balgraph, Goodwin Badgerhawk, Horatio Limegarden, Pye Greenwich, Evan McCorkendale, Ford Easel, Christian Lancaster, Beadle Lampwick, Andrew Geni, Al Cochlea, James Muskdale, Christopher Glasgow, Bert Corridor, Mervin Zanzibar... You get the idea. Or maybe you don't?

Benjamin Andahopulahkjamintu, Rudolph Rembrandt, Bill Busibee, Carlton Franzenhoffenheimer, Andy Sonnenscheinen, Ray Nininmahart, Gregor Mordich, Arthur Ianite, Manny Walters, Fred McKirke, Dalton Timor... You know, fake names.

Actually, probably none of those ones specifically, but probably ones like them.

I exit the bathroom, straightening my clothes, then return to my table. A few moments later, the waitress exits the bathroom, having regained her composure. She flashes a slightly embarrassed smile in my direction.

Never done it with a feline before, let alone in a Train bathroom. Got a few scratch marks. Not quite sure what happened. Think I'll omit this little detail when I tell Simeon, in case he punches me.

Oh man, what was her name again? Did she tell me? Shit, in all the excitement, I can't remember.

I watch her serving a new table of patrons who must have joined at the last stop, when she banged her head off the bathroom wall. Jeez... I'm one of those guys now. Those guys who have sex with jazz club waitresses in tiny bathrooms. How'd it even happen? One minute we're talking about Plantain Snider and, the next...

Best not to draw too much attention to it. Don't want to get her fired or anything. Is that a firing offence? Sex with a patron in the bathroom? Or is that just good customer service? Okay, get it together man. No big deal.

Didn't want to write a sex-scene in first person, especially in this slightly controversial context, so hoorah for that great literary trick of "it happened in between chapters..."
