In a brief interviwe with Flo Slaughter from the local independently run cable music TV channel Snub TV, Ratner's Star bassist Alexei Wright had the following to say about the evening's events:

Snub TV: So, Alexei-no win's this year, but has the experience been good?

Alexei Wright: God, you've got fantastic bre-Oh, are we on? Oh right...Erm, yeah, yes, even. It was abit of a nightmare getting here and getting on stage, but its been a really cracking evening. We've all really enjoyed ourselves. This is our first awards ceremony, and I hope its not our last.

Flo, Snub TV: What was all the instrument trashing and John Frantzen's front flip off of the stage all about? We've all come to see you guys as a bit *coughs* reserved and serious, not a debauched rock band...

Alexei Wright: It was good, wasn't it? We love to surprise people. We've been hyper excited about this for days and were bursting with energy when we got on. A bottle of Johnny Walker each and a glass of champagne did the trick as well...

Flo, Snub TV: Any news on John?

Alexei Wright: Our manager went with him in the back of the ambulance to the hospital, he's just phoned me to say that John's alright, just had to get sewn up and grab a couple of painkillers. He got a nasty cut in his lower back and only just narrowly missed damaging interal organs, bless him. He'll be back getting pissed with the rest of us sooner or later.

Flo,Snub TV: We all at Snub TV wish him well, of course. I guess we'll talk a bit later at the aftershow party, hope you enjoy the rest of the awards show...

Alexei Wright: Absolutely....unless of course, Flo, you fancy coming this way with me. I was thinking of either playing cricket in the hallway outside or nipping out for a ciggie...and would love your company either way...as long as you come back with me to my hotel room. Would you like to shag an Englishman?

Flo, Snub TV: Uh... sure, oay. I've never played cricket before...and you are a real charmer.

Alexei Wright: Excellent...Hey, lads, round up as many pissed Brits as you can-we're going outside to play a few overs of cricket!!! FAST BOWLING IS IN, I REPEAT, FAST BOWLING IS IN!!!

Wright, two other members of Ratner's Star, a couple of female backing singers and dancers from an earlier performance, a couple of pissed ex-pat Brit industry types and a few curious American make their way out of the hall and into the hallway lobby outside to play cricket using two bass guitars as bats, a crowd control rope post as stumps and a melon as a ball...

OOC: This isn't intended to offend, the character of Alexei is loosely based on Blur's bassist Alex James, who was a legendary debauched drinker and notorious womaniser back in the day. I think copping off with a local minor celeb from a cable TV music channel is a small consolation for not getting any awards...

Mason cries with laughter at his table; another round of shots ordered swiftly. "Utter gold, J, utter gold..."

Chase blinked.

Chase: Guys, i have to pee.
Luke: Eww. Why are you tellings us?
Chase: I'm not sure where to go.

Hannah shook her head and walked away.

Hannah Beth: Don't look at me.
Johnny: Or me.
Luke" Me neither dude.
Chase: Oh come on!

Suddenly the lights go off in the Hot Topic arena aside from the flashes of the crowd's cameras. After a few seconds of silence a computer-generated voice is heard through the PA system;

[Computer-Generated voice:]
Yeah, what you critics said would never happen.
We dedicate this performance to anybody, people said they couldn't make it.
To the fans that held them down till everybody came around.
Welcome. There here.

As soon as the voice stops, a bruising metal breakdown and PANIC! drummer Joey Fallon pounding on the skins. As the head pounding breakdown goes the lights in the stadium start to change different colors showing off the whole crowd on stage doing their thing, when the breakdown stops the lights flash on the full band receiving an amazing reception from the fans in New York City, the hardcore-lite breakdown lead to their opening track for their performance "Fake Our Smiles, Baby, Half-Dead,".

Ryan Ross Hernandez: "Hehe... Woo! New York City. Let's go."

As the song progresses, bassist Nick Asher is seen doing various guitar throws and twirls. When Ashley Perry sings the last line of the chorus all the instruments all of a sudden stop. The outro of the track for sends chills down your spine with a soft guitar riff from Hunter sends all five of them to their knees, with a shaking white limelight shining on each of them and Ashley lays down on the stage floor, rolling around as she sings the outro showing the bands believes to the fullest.

Father, I am ready

I want to dance
in the mighty palm of your hand"

Once the first song is down, a few lights turn on in the stadium and a limelight shines on frontwoman Ashley Perry.

Ashley Perry: "New York City! It's awesome to be here in one of the most amazing cities in the world, on one of the best day's of our lives and it's great to be spending it with each and every one of you. So, just in case you don't know, New York we are PANIC!. And we have our fifth studio album right around the corner, on November 3rd it's released, titled "Broken Down on Memory Lane" and the very first single off it is called "Disloyal Order of the Ignorant". So, we are going to be performanning it right now for the first time every in North America. You down with that New York?"

It progresses with a echoing bass riff and distorted crashing guitars. The vocals have a haunting feel to it, when Ryan is singing lead, Ashley is heard whispering the song in the background which doesn't happen when Ashley is singing. Although lyric-wise it is a somewhat sad and personal song they still play it with the same energy and enthusiasm they play all their other songs, even if the song is talking about them. With its carefree chorus and sing-along hooks just bursting at the seams, when released the song should have no trouble invading the airwaves across the world.

Ashley Perry: "Thank you New York, and if you enjoyed that the album version will be at midnight tonight on our website and at noon tomorrow you will be able to purchase it on iTunes. So, we got one more for you guys and I want to see everyone in this stadium moving no soul should be sitting down on this song."

The lights go out in the venue as a quick guitar riff begins, when it ends the stage lights up again and Ryan sings the opening line to "I Liked You a Whole Lot Better Before You Became a Fucking MySpace Whore". PANIC!'s best-known song is a great closer to an already amazing night, the song ends with a melodic breakdown with each note making the lights change colors, from the high-paced song it turns into a soft-bass guitar riff and Ashley sings another emotional outro.

Each band member stands up on an amplifier and take a quick bow. As soon as it ends the lights go off and in a matter of seconds they come back up and the band is already off the stage with their respective instruments laying on the floor.

Some fans in the Arena sayd:
"First Cosmic Danny and then Brother Big Bill, and after that Sault Magnolia. It were just three songs. They were not at their best.

Ryan comes out of the back, still putting on the pinstripe jacket from his suit still sweaty from his recent performance with PANIC!.

"Well this is great, after countless nominations I have finally won most attractive male! Even though, this doesn't match up to the amazing feeling I felt earlier when PANIC! won best band, this still feels pretty damn good! So, yeah thanks to anyone that thinks I'm attractive even though I don't see myself being attractive enough to win this award but nonetheless it proves it doesn't matter what the hell you look on the outside you might be the most unlucky bachelor in the world and that's what I think of myself. But thanks to whoever thinks I'm a wet-dream for teenage girls or whatever."
