Flashback Interview!
Check out this flashback interview of Stephanie Fierce with Justin McClane Investigates. The popular TV show, ran for only a few episodes. This probably remains one of the most controversial interviews Stephanie Fierce ever did. A lot has definitely changed Quote:*Justin walks out onto the stage to applause from the audience.*
Justin: Hello, hello, wow. Thank you. Welcome to the third episode of Justin McClane Investigates. Today we're delving into the life of Stephanie Fierce, so with no further ado, let's introduce her to you!
*Stephanie Fierce walks out, and Justin kisses her cheek and welcomes her, before they both take a seat to begin the interview.*
Justin: Thank you for coming in tonight, Stephanie, I appreciate it. Now, let's get started with the questions! It's been reported you didn't have the best start to life. Tell us more about that? -Well you were reported correctly. To tell you the truth I almost believed I could never make it at first. My childhood wasn't a playground, it was more like battlefield. My mom and dad were at war and I was in the center of that battlefield.Seeing child molestation, it was just crazy. I had the worst experience when I was I child. My mom who died about two years ago. (Pause) I'm sorry for getting all teary, well I just hate talking bad about her but she never really supported me. She never thought I could make it in the music industry. I know this may sound a little cliché but my father was the only one that told me I was going to be a superstar. He would always say “Look at her, ain’t she? what those models call it? oh right Fierce, strutting like that, she is so Fierce” I can go forever if I really describe my whole life. I mean who wouldn't?
Justin: So, how did you first manage to get out of that and break into the music scene? - Well, there was a talent show where I was living in New York that Fierce Music Label. I told my parents I wanted to go but my mom said “No”. My dad came to the rescue and took me anyway. They saw me and at first they didn’t want me even though I could sing because my English wasn’t so good. So I was put in the call backs list. Over a month passed by and they called my manager and told him that they are willing to offer me a contract and that’s how I made it into the music scene. Because of my father.
Justin: Who would you have classed as your influences, and why? -Well I grew up listening to Madonna, Michael Jackson, and in my late teen years I listened to GirlSpice a lot. So I see them as my influences. They changed music and they are the reason why many pop artist are here today.
Justin: Okay, now delving a little more into your personal life, if I may. I understand you have now adopted your nephew, how and why did that come about? -All I can say is that I did this for a good reason and that’s all that matters. He’s now an important part of my life and has changed it forever.
Justin: How are you coping with juggling being a mother with your busy schedule? -Its hard. Even with a nanny. But, I try to spend as much time with Roberto as I can. He now understands that I have a job and he understands that when its time for auntie to work its work not play. But of coarse when its things that are inappropriate for him to see he isn’t with me. But he comes along when I go on tour and do interviews and stuff like that. He’s not with me right now but most of the time he is. Also his microphone and Nintendo DS are his friends right now, so he doesn’t mind.
Justin: Hopefully you won't mind me bringing this up, but there's been much criticism put on you lately because of your plans to let him start working in the music industry, despite only being 11 years old. What do you have to say to the critics? I try not to listen to this critics and stuff because negativity and I don’t match. I am not forcing my child to go into the music biz. This is what he wants and I am going be here for him because my mother never believed in me and I did it. I am also going to take things slow with him. Whenever he feel uncomfortable with something he’s going to tell me and we will stop it immediately.
Justin: Is there not the slightest part of you that can see why people are so concerned, and why people feel it would be detrimental to his mental health in years to come? If so, what is your reasoning for ignoring those dangers? As surely it is playing a dangerous lottery with his future? Yes, on one hand he may turn out just fine, but on the other hand there's a very big chance this experience could damage him for life. Especially when he can just as easily wait until his teenage years, when he is more mature, to start recording and releasing material? -Its not that I’m ignoring the dangers, because like I said before if something goes wrong, we stop it. I am not going or trying to put my child in danger. He wants to start now and I am going to help him pursue his goal and dreams. I believe he has a special message for many children out there and you’ll see that in his music. But of coarse if something goes wrong we stop or take a break. And I am concern. But life is about taking risks. You only get to live once and I feel that if I do this right and I teach him how to deal with criticism, publicity and all that crazy stuff, he wont have mental illness in the future. I need to get him ready for this now that way it wont hit him in the future when he wont have me as much.
Justin A lot of people call you a "diva". Would you agree with that, as often the word carried a negative label with it? -I think Diva is like a signature. An ego or something along that. It can be positive or negative. To me I see it more on the positive side when it comes to music, but when it comes to personality I see it as negative. I think I’m only a diva in my music videos. I say please and thank you and I don’t expect people to open doors for me and wipe my shoes if there is dirt on them. I am fierce though which is a whole different thing.
Justin: What does Fierce mean to you? To me ‘Fierce’ is a woman or a man who is strong and believes in her or himself. That women or man is stylish and beautiful and has a lot of talent. Nobody can walk nor talk like him or her. Fierce is a personality to me. I just want women or men to feel confident within themselves.
Justin: I'd agree with that. If people aren't comfortable with themselves, how can they ever be comfortable with other people, and what they do, etc, right? Moving on to others in the industry, how do you feel about Madison O' Leary? -I am going to be honest. I don’t like her. She never respected me nor accepted me. I tried working with her on a song and it just didn’t work out. I also heard she called me a ‘joke’. I am wondering why she would take the time out of her day to call me a joke. I feel like as pop singers we should stick together for the better. I just wish her the best, that’s all I’m going to say.
Justin Emma called you "The next Madonna". How do you feel about that? Why do think she called you that? -First of all, thank you so much Emma I thought that was really sweet and thoughtful to say but, even though Madonna was my inspiration I feel like I’m going to be the next Stephanie Fierce. What I mean is that I am me not anybody else. I know what she meant though, I’m just saying for those who might think I’m trying to be the next Madonna. I don’t want people to be like “what a copycat” (cough) Diva (cough) Fierce.
Justin A crazy fan - sorry *laughs* - wants to know *reads from a card*: Are you and Johnny from The Rockers dating because of the collaboration you both did in the #1 single "Hot Shot" ? -I heard the word crazy and I got kinda scared (laughs). Ummmm, No! (laughs) Let me make this clear. What we did was acting, no more than that. He is a very handsome and professional man but we have not much in common and he‘s doing his own thing. But our chemistry in the song and video was definitely there which is why I think the single went number one.
Justin: A lot of people are probably eager to know, what is your upcoming album based on, and what kind of sound are you going for? - I am so excited about this one. The last one was rushed because I had a time limit but now that I’m signed with V-Records and Spice Records I am able to take my time and really put emotion and sound into this album. The album is called “The Diary Of A Pop Sinner” where fans will get chance to basically look at my personal diary. The sound is a bit bassy. African horns and drums are used to create that unique sound and other secret things I can’t really talk about yet. I am just trying to focus on a new sound for pop music but keep it original in some way. All you hear these days is electricity. Its going to come to a point where everyone listening to pop music will get electrocuted. So I am now looking at the roots of pop music and mix that in with my new sound. This album will change pop music. Expect the first single off the album this October! I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.
Justin: If you could collaborate with anybody in the future who would it be? -Very good question. I actually want to collaborate with Raven Storme. She is so beautiful and she has what I call a quiet edge in her. It would definitely be good to collaborate with her.
Justin: Well, Raven, if you're watching! Maybe you two girls can hook up or something :) Maybe not in the way I'm imagining but... *cough* Erm... back on track, back on track... um... again, getting a little more personal, who are your celebrity crushes? -(Laughs) Well let me just say that you are a very handsome man, but other than you I think if Billy Maddison weren’t taken I would date him.
Justin: Oh, why thank you! *Pretends to fan his face* I am single, by the way :p ... although it looks as if Billy may be, as well, now... Um, okay, finaly question for you... Of all the stars you have met, which have impressed you and which have disappointed you? -I have been blessed and punished to meet many people. The reason why I say that is that not everyone in the biz is nice. When I met The Rockers, they impressed me the most. They are the coolest guys and it was the most fun time I ever had working. Meeting Madison O’ Leary was a disappointment.
Justin: Okay, Stephanie Fierce, thank you for coming down to talk to me tonight! Hopefully the questions weren't too bad?!?! It's been a pleasure talking to you and good luck with the future and your upcoming releases. Stephanie Fierce, everyone! -All right thank you for having me here, It was a pleasure to do this. Remember keep it fierce.
*Justin gets up to kiss her cheek again and takes some time to thank the audience and remind them that next Thursday's show with be with Moronic Changeling's Chris Pratt*
