but albums such as telepathic surgery, in a priest driven ambulance , transmitions from a satalite heart, clouds taste mettalic and of course the mighty Zaireeka are amongst my favorate albums by anyone...

You don't think this is art? I said an argument can be made that music such as The Killers is not art, I didn't say that it was my opinion. It's certainly not high art, but then very little contemporary (as in the past 100 years) music is. The definition of "art" is extremely broad, but an argument could be made, if I wanted to play Devil's Advocate, that popular music is more akin to an industrial production line than to art for arts sake. OK, this comment just irritates. "Don't get it"? I mean yeah, in the really loosest definition of "getting it". But what the fuck is there to get? It's jangly indie-pop. Inoffensive, perfect radio fodder, a bunch of ingredients that when added together go to sum up a whole lot about what I dislike about modern music. It's not that I don't get it, it's that I don't like it. Saying people don't get it is like there's some deep hidden philosophy behind the band, or an amazingly subtle joke or something along these lines. It's pop music.
