No!!!!!! You said "Nirvana were originally just a fad. Nirvana wouldn't have become such huge legends if it weren't for Dave Grohl's subsequent success and Courtney Love's philanthropy and lawsuits", preceeded by a rant about how 14 year old kids dominate the charts.

Do you like.. know anything about the music industry.

It's a compilation. They're all compilations. Of course it's not going to have that 'new music buzz' that makes records sell so well - it's not new music!

Answer me this - what are you trying to prove?!

Yes, that's what I was trying to say from the beginning!!!!!!! But people here don't get it!

We do get it... it's a compilation, surely you had more of a motive than proving that?

Well, my motive to prove was that the labels are kinda wasting time releasing a bunch of compilations that in Nirvana's case, are all the same (and someone said they were released around holiday times, but I checked and none were). So the thing I don't get is why do the labels do that when it's clear the box sets are selling too well and when they could be spending time getting some little kid like Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber make them billions from not only more successful album sales, but also TOURING. The past is the past. So what if Nirvana sold 20+ million albums on one album? They aren't doing that anymore.

Yes, Nirvana were part of the grunge movement, which ended up being a fad. Nirvana not being legends, I might've overexaggerated because I was a bit angry, I was trying to say that they were not gonna be like Aerosmith or U2 because those guys are considered as much bigger rock legends. Also, the lawsuit and Love's philanthropy and Grohl's success helped boost sales of early posthumous Nirvana recordings, but ultimately those albums still barely pass the 1,000,000 mark, which isn't what bands like Van Halen or Metallica would get if they were to release posthumous sales. And 14 year old kids do dominate the chart because little girls love them, but by the time they reach puberty, they'll be annoying douchebags like Hanson ended up as.
