I'll be the one who has put in about 450 hours on Football Manager 2010.
Aye, think about that for a minute, it's been out less than a year! |

Also, you have more options for combat in CoD where in Halo, u either get a gravity hammer, or run around with some laser gun or sniper. plus, the maps on CoD are bigger I think, and if I'm wrong, then at least the areas inside the bases/buildings aren't almost entirely symmetrical like in halo. |

Call of Duty hasn't had fun multiplayer since CoD4 (and to a lesser extent WaW, I still like WWII). As far as more options for combat in Call of Duty vs. Halo I don't know which game you are playing but both are pretty similar in terms of weapon use. The weapon selection in Call of Duty really isn't that big, you have like 5 weapon classes and each gun is simply a variant of the others in its class. Halo may not have the same number of weapons, but there is more variety between the weapons compared to Call of Duty where the difference between two SMGs is simply fire rate. Also, you complain about map symmetry in Halo and to me that communicates a basic misunderstanding of the game. Call of Duty game types revolve around deathmatch or territory type games, you are killing people or grabbing land. Halo is a game that is heavily based around CTF game variants and deathmatch. To effectively have 2 Flag CTF the map needs to be symmetrical as to not give one team an advantage in terrain. |

To effectively have 2 Flag CTF the map needs to be symmetrical as to not give one team an advantage in terrain. One of the biggest problems in the multiplayer in recent CoDs (BTW, I prefer to play CoD4 over all) is that the spawns are very broken. In MW2, the game engine has set it up so that it will only spawn you at places where no one is looking, and if you look through say a chain link fence, it counts as no one looking. Also, they added too many over powered weapons in the game and never nerfed any of them. That's why I play CoD4 |

The only console game I've played online in the past 2 months has been The Beatles Rock Band. I could probably also go for some Rock Band 2 action on Live I guess. But Beatles is just kinda...well, there's no Paramore in Beatles Rock Band, it's just ace songs by an ace band. |

I have a love/hate relationship with it only having Beatles songs. On the one hand, I am glad Harmonix respected the band and music enough to let it stand on its own. On the other hand, even with all the DLC the amount of music is small and eventually when I am playing it (alone or with friends) we have to switch discs to Rock Band 2 because we can't simply load the music on the hard drive. On Rock Band 2 between Rock Band 1, Lego Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and my almost 300 downloaded songs the music library is hard to get bored with in a single play session. |

Maybe it's because I'm fucking crap at the game and have only been playing it for 8 months and only just started to break into playing on expert, but I dunno, I still am not bored of it. And because there's not really a song I don't like playing as opposed to Rock Band 1/2 where there's quite a lot of the stuff out of the box I don't like. Such as Paramore. The main Beatles Rock Band fault is so few folk seem to play it online, and those that two, well few of them have the DLC. And well, it's a year since release so maybe another album would be nice, Revolver or Let It Be would be my choice. Or both. |

The game really didn't sell as well as expected (still well but not the numbers they hoped) and from what I remember reading the DLC was even worse. I think the biggest knock against it was the challenge. None of the songs are extremely hard and I know the main reason I continue to play Rock Band is because it is still one of the few games out there that can consistently challenge me. The art direction is fantastic though. One of the most beautiful games I have seen. Edited by user 21 September 2010 05:16:37(UTC)

Yeah, it's definitely easier than the other Rock Band games. I like that though. Perfect introduction to the Rock Band-type games for me. Where as the actual Rock Band games are just a lot harder. Have heard that they are probably done with it which is a bit shite. I kind of hoped they'd do some tweaking when RB3 comes out with the keyboard, so you can get a song like Hey Jude, Lady Madonna or Let It Be. Ho hum. I can hope. |

If you like old school (and I mean old school Dragon Warrior/Final Fantasy 1 stuff) RPG's check out Breath of Death VII on Xbox Live Indie Games. It is only 80 MS Points and is one of the most fun games I have played this year. |

Finally got The Ballad of Gay Tony yesterday after completing The Lost and Damned. And man, it's FAR more frustrating thatn TLaD AND GTAIV combined. Fucking helicopters! Haha. Despite that, it's still fun. Not quite sure I agree with most folk about it being better than TLaD, but then I guess as a Sons of Anarchy fan Johnny is more interesting the Luis to me. |
