There's either something extremely different about their personalities, or they've done something extreme in the past. You've got to make your characters seriously memorable, otherwise nobody's going to give an arse. I agree, my drunken nakedness is pretty stale though, I need to find a new gimmick lol. pretty much make your character a super druggie, asshole,or slut, slut isn't too big so I'd go with that. Hell yeah I like Jimmy's character and I loev Sexy Star. I just need some new direction to make roleplaying more fun for me. You know what I mean? I had this character name Daizy and she was the girl who loves sex, she likes girls and boys and she has a powerful voice. She is a bitch and she likes to kill with her looks. |

Basically, what bikz said. With RRH, he really wasn't well known when I just had him in PANIC!, but when I slowly broke him off the band his personality started to change too. I also would advise you not to have a million characters at once, if you want to get noticed. I just focus on RRH and PANIC! because those are already well-known, so I honestly doubt I will bring others in. For much part of a year, I believe, I just focused on PANIC!, and when I get them built up nicely, I brought RRH's persona out more. I would advise you to just focus on one or two and build those up before moving on to others. |

Yeah, I think the most comments I ever got was on my diary roleplay for Jimmy (yeah, it kinda died). I guess out of anything I've done that was the most out there/extreme personality wise.

Like I've said I don't think I'm all that good at writing or roleplaying but I did like my latest one - The Max Armstrong Magazine Article but I only got one reply so it's kind of dissapointing that the effort I put into creating the magazine cover and the interview has kind of gone to waste, I know it's probably not very good which is why people didn't reply to it, so if you will would you guys let me know what you think of it. here's the link - - http://www.therockstarga....aspx?g=posts&t=4489Thanks |

On the other RP forum I use, I did a total flip-out with one of my characters - he was completely unnoticed, just some randomer (that was the way he was supposed to be considering the game's mechanics, he's one of the 'underclassmen') .... but then he shot his mouth off about how much he hates one of the admins' characters, who is like, top of the food chain. Now people know his name. Not for the best reasons, more like the worst possible reasons, but people know who he is. I think I learned that from TRSG. xD
But really, what I've noticed from over there - the best way to get noticed is to interact. Make plots with other people's characters and take part in open plots (tours where you'll have a group tour diary, and reality TV shows, are good ones; but even signing up for festivals can help). Reply to things, and maybe make a good (or bad!) comment on something mentioned in the roleplay, so it really looks like you've read it closely - which you have! And of course, IC comments > OOC ones any day.
Oh, and don't do anything stupid. Like killing off your character when they've released one or two singles and making a big deal of it. (If you don't like a character at an early stage, better make them just disappear into obscurity.) Or dying, getting pregnant, getting cancer, etc. when someone else has just done the very same. |

Most of the roleplaying is not actual roleplaying. It are characters respond to one another in a mysterious, magical fashion. Although there has been a recent increase in actual roleplays. Bikz deserves a positive mention in this regard. |
The Disstopian The Disstopian is simultaneously bringing hiphop back to its root and launching it into the future. |

it's all about being outlandish. Just having a band who release stuff and tour with no problems is not going to get many responses... |

Couldn't agree with what Bikz and the lot have said more, thanks for the mention btw ;)
I mean Ryan Ross Hernandez, as much as I slag him off in RP is probably the biggest name right now, and that's because Panic just goes and goes and goes and goes on about him and keeps on drumming it into you about his personality by interviews and all kinds of stuff.
And also Stephanie Fierce, to be honest is actually probably bigger than Ryan, just Ryan's more for the right reasons whereas everyone in RP generally hates Stephanie Fierce :P |

Well actually theses are some the reason why anyone would hate Stephannie Fierce -They hate me -They hate any type of pop music, even if it's a well written song. If it's pop they automatically hate it. -They feel threatened Other possible logical reasons: -My character is a bitch and she doesn't let anyone walk all over her -She uses the word fierce as both a verb and a noun -She basically owns the word fierce -She always strikes back no matter who the fuck you are -She's an Attention Grabber
