I america, you wouldn't get close to winning an election with that name, Obama was a stretch, and we freaked out because his middle name is Hussein

Then you are an absolute bunch of bigots in that case

Yeah, and the number of times a Republican would "accidentally" say "Unlike Barrack Osama... I mean Obama." Thankfully, when this one guy did that, the audience booed extremely loudly. Turns out some Americans aren't stupid enough to fall for that shit, so there is hope.

Yes but Paul and I live in Glasgows muslim quarter so he's alright.

But he only got 17% of the vote, the seat was one by Anas Sarwar of the Labour party. His dad was the old MP here and he was the first ever muslim MP in the UK.

It's weird how the Muslim area overlaps with the Orange area. Right here is like the intersection of both.

I always vote for

I got my electors card this year to vote blank :D
All candidates are shit (one is evangelic, the other is anti-atheists and the third wants to make it easier for politicians to steal money).
Joyous.

Ah, youthful ignorance...

Elections coming up here as well. The conservative liberals (although they're not that conservative) will get my vote, as usual. There's a fair chance of them winning the election, and that makes me a happy little Dutchie. If you're not a Christian democrat, pseudo socialist, fundamentalist Calvinist nutjob, uneducated xenophobic fool or dumbass treehugger, that's pretty much the only way to go.

It was a joke. I don't ever vote for the Communist party.

Fortunately British politics is on the whole rather secular.

Unfortunately it is also entirely useless if you aren't cool with the status quo.
