"Afraid of the Dark" places itself as a top Glamazon song - it's a sexy, confident and dancefloor-ready synth-pop track where Glamazon takes charge on a daring night. Sounding slightly like a more modern verson of the Eurythmics hit "Sweet Dreams", Glamazon makes sure to keep the track loaded with grimy synth and electric guitar throughout the bedroom anthem; it seems like electric guitar has become her latest obsession on sounds to include in her new music. "I think many overlook certain songs about sex because they think it's trashy, or they think it's not appropriate, it's the number one go-to song subject for slutty pop singers" she states, "But I think it all depends on the way you approach the subject, how tasteful you put it across and how clever you are about it; when done right, it can make for a wonderful song."
