Nadia: You'd think it would, wouldn't you? But not at all, because every time we release a new record, we experiment with a different sound or we try something new. For this album, for the first time ever, we're all having an input in the songwriting side of things, and its something we've actually really enjoyed doing and something we'd want to do always in the future. Chantal: Ummm... the early wake-ups, disgusting men hitting on me and complete lack of privacy gets on my nerves a lot. Kimberly: I think overall though, seeing the fans reaction whenever you're on stage or you see their messages on Twitter... it's CRAZY! Because really, the fans have grown up with us so there's a real bond between us and I think it's the constant support that keeps it fun. Sophia: GirlSpice is soooooooo fun, right? Right! Hehe! Yayyyy! As Kimberly said, one of the main reasons for carrying on is for the fans, what has been the craziest fan moment in your careers? Sophia: I got a teddy once! Soooo cute babes! Nadia: A guy wanted me to sign his penis once... hmm, I don't think I went through with that. Chantal: I remember a few weeks back after a recording session, some guy ran up to us and he basically ripped his shirt off there and then to reveal his GirlSpice tattoo... he actually had all of our faces on his chest, that was a bit... umm... yeah. Kimberly: It's always the guys! We actually saw a drag version of GirlSpice at like every London show on our last tour, I WANTED TO KEEP THEM. Back to the topic of songwriting, what made you all want to try that out with this new album? Kimberly: Cause all the great rockstars do it, right? Sophia: She wants to be a rockstar babes! But she's a popstar! Sooooo silly! Hehe! Kimberly: I'LL JOIN REÄLM ONE DAY, YOU'LL SEE. Chantal: If she had her way, we'd all be making metal. And Kimberly, I doubt that very much, you'd be a complete laughing stock. Nadia: We just wanted to show growth on this new record more than anything, we were tired of being seen as a manufactured pop group and we wanted to show that our talents don't just revolve around the dancing. People can think whatever they want, when you've achieved this much, you just learn to block out the hate, but we were really doing this for ourselves more than anyone else. Chantal: Or because the label told us to... except not really, idiots. What direction did you take with this album and who have you worked with? Nadia: I think the album title really sounds like a fast-paced action movie or something, and that's a great reason why we named it, because a lot of stuff on the record is really uptempo and fun. There's most definitely variety as well and we have a chance to showcase our vocals on a few tracks. Kimberly: We can't really say whoooooo, but we've worked with them before and they did an AMAZING track with us which we all really love, but aside from that, we haven't really worked with anyone else yet! But the record isn't finished yet so there's still a possibility for more collaborations. The last album Resurrection if I'm allowed to say, kind of came and went; it went top 10 in most areas of the world and sold just under 4 million copies worldwide, but hardly any promotion was done for it, would you agree with that? Sophia: Hehe! Chantal: Well we can't promote forever and ever can we? We do have a life you know. Nadia: We wanted to release a comeback record for the fans more than anyone else, so we thought we'd just put it out there for them and if you don't know about it, then oh well. Kimberly: The difference this time is that the fans want us to do promotion, they want to see us everywhere so that they can brag to fans of other pop artists how well we're doing... HAH. Stuff like that really makes me laugh though, GirlSpice fans can get a little vicious! Do you see yourself at war with any of the other girl groups? Chantal: Yeah. Nadia: There's so much new talent out there with girl groups now and we respect them more than anything, because girl groups have never really been the most popular kind of act in the industry. Lately, its actually been quite reassuring to know that we're not the only girl group still trying, it's quite nice to have company! Chantal: Did you say WE? Nadia: Moving on. Sophia: Hehe! There hasn't been a tour since the One Last Goodbye one which was meant to be the farewell tour which was a massive pop show production, will there be another tour for this album on such a huge scale? Kimberly: I get a bit depressed if I don't go on tour for too long, I'm already pulling my hair out as it is... but you'll have to wait and see. Sophia: Touring is sooooooo fun babes! Like wow! Yayyyy! There's several rumours that this is the last GirlSpice album, can you confirm that? Sophia: OH MY BLONDE! Is it? Noooooo! Sooooooo upsetting! Nadia: Well we said that we're splitting up last time and here we are... so I don't think we'll ever claim that we're finished again, we'd just stop making music and that'd be the last you'll hear of us. I really wanna do a solo album after this GirlSpice record, but it doesn't mean that GirlSpice are finished at all. And finally, what's next for GirlSpice? Chantal: God knows. Nadia: We're flying to the U.S on Wednesday to do some promo over there and I'm gonna spend some time with my boyfriend and see a show of his, we've also got some festival spots coming up which we've started rehearsing for. Busy, busy, busy... we get like no sleep, and they call this a glamorous lifestyle! Chantal: Glamorous? Hah, fat chance. Plus, Nadia and I can share embarrassing stories about Ryan. :) Gabriel Hunter: I swear to god, if I hear the name 'Ryan Ross Hernandez' while touring with a bunch of women, I'm gonna puke. Well, I guess being one of the few males in a female dominated tour is kind of how Ryan must feel with his constant flow of women throwing themselves at him.

"Downtown" Following the light and summery ways of "Money Equals Love" comes the good-to-bad transition early on in the album with its harder-hitting dance beats and frequent club-influenced breakdowns throughout the track, "Downtown" is a sure-fire floorfiller. "Being so pop based, I think the more dance-style influence on the track will throw some people off, its not completely away from our usual sound, but its also again not something we do all the time. Either way, it was nice to use the influences we got from visiting varies cities around Europe and going into different underground clubs and mixing it all together for this track" Nadia describes, who takes lead vocals on the track, solely singing the pre-chorus and chorus. However, the last chorus reaches a climax where it features vocals from all the girls. "Lyrically, it's nothing genius, we just wanted to have some fun with a few tracks on the album and make a song that people could shake some stress off to, so hopefully we at least achieved that."
