Lyrics
Dem man fink I’m a one hit wonder,
You fink your sick blud, I’ll make you chunder
You fink you spit good fam, your bars are a blunder,
You make me mad and I’ll shit on you like thunder.
Dem man fink that ‘cause i’z a chick they better than me,
Well fink again blud, I’m as fly as a bee,
My bars are like bullets, my mouth is the gun,
Don’t wanna mess wiv me, I’m not just here for some fun,
Dem man got da balls, but I ent no pussy,
I’m ‘arder than a wall, so I ent no fluffy –
Bitch, I’m the one that you better put your money on,
‘cause if man don’t, den your gonna wonder where it’s gone,
Dem Man fink that they are harder me,
Dem man fink that I’m a pussy,
But what they don’t know,
Iz what a don’t show,
Dem man say i’m a tracksuit nigger, but fam i iz white,
Think you’re fan base is bigger? Don’t think you is right,
Think your bars will save you from the darkness tonight?
Fam I don’t think so, and that’s just being polite.
Dem Man gunna mess with the wrong blud,
Dem man gonna get caught in the mud,
Dem Man gonna get caught in the wrong fight,
Dem man gonna get punched with my high hype,
Dem Man fink that they are harder me,
Dem man fink that I’m a pussy,
But what they don’t know,
Iz what a don’t show,
Dem Man gonna mess wiv ma mandem fam.
Innit.
Description
The track starts with Foxxy clearing her throat and then a sharp clicking sound as if she has just clicked her neck in preparation to get spitting. She then starts the first verse as the beat kicks in. The beat is hard and fast, and makes for a good Drum and Bass influenced Grime tune; the influences of Foxxy’s style are ever audible in this first verse as she spits to the beat.
After the second third of the first verse has finished an almost echoing effect comes into play and highlights words like “Pussy”, giving the effect of multiple people saying it, emphasising it. The drum beat remains fast and hard while this goes on, as the bass-line gets steadily faster.
A light “wobbing” sound is introduced as the chorus comes around, showing a light Dubstep influence in the song; something Buzz & Hype like to add in when they can do. The drums get faster and harder over the chorus and the symbols are hit far more frequently.
The second verse is introduced and Lucifer comes in to emphasise the final few words of the first half of the verse; this highlights the frustration which is felt by many people. At this point in the song the bass-line has got to fever pitch and is really starting to give off more of the Dubstep vibe.
The final chorus is much the same as the first, but after it finishes everything goes silent except a few quite “wob” sounds, which are played over Foxxy speaking the final line.
