He shakes his head. "Don't worry about wasting the reservation. I can afford it." He sighs, wondering the real reason she suddenly wants to stay in Florida. "If you want to go back to New York its no worry at all."

He takes his phone out and looks at a message before quickly replying and putting it in his pocket again.

Scott shrugs and nods. He sighs and shakes his head straight after but then takes his phone out of his pocket. He dials a number.

"Hi, I need a cab from the hospital to the Meadowlands Hotel in Orlando please." He nods and waits. "Yeah as soon as possible please."

He puts his phone back in his pocket. "I'll wait with you until the cab comes."

Scott shakes his head. "I don't mind waiting. A nurse is keeping the girls entertained anyway." He looks at her shivering. "Yeah...it ain't warm today. Hold onto that jacket if you want. I don't mind."

Scott laughs a little bit. "A fur coat? Do you think I'm Cruella DeVille?" He jokes and then shakes his head. "Nah, I like to look good, not like some rampaging viking." He nods when she talks about his gigs in Canada. "Did you ever manage to get in? I think we played in Canada a few times. It was just that we earned more money by playing American dates than going north. The girls would dress a bit sluttier as well. I guess it was too cold for them in Canada." He nods and then listens as she said she loved the band, where it sounds to him like she loved him. He smiles a little, sadly.

Scott nods. "I wouldn't want to shit gold, but I'm pretty sure I could afford to pay someone enough to do it for me. It might tear them a literal new one though. That would be painful." He smiles a little. "Who knew that you were just one of those people in all of those crowds all of those years ago, huh? Did we ever sleep together? I probably ended up on the bus with a few Canadian chicks." He laughs. "Well thanks. I'm glad you liked us. It's been a few years since I've done any new music though. You have made some stars though, so well done for that." He smirks. "Give people a chance? Let's just say you love to fire people." He ignores the last part of her statement. It hurts him to think of them married when the situation seems so hopeful.

Scott nods. "Fair enough. There were plenty of groupies anyway. People think it's taking advantage, but I never saw one leave the bus without smiling. Except the ones that Mark brought on just to chat." He smirks a little. "Yeah, I know, you told me that before." He thinks for a while. "Nah, you're not like that now, of course not." He shrugs and then scratches his arm when she asks him questions about their marriage. "Yeah, we were passionate, and we argued a lot of the time. There was always one of us storming out of the room or something. People might have thought we had issues, but we were happy. No matter what anyone says." He feels a tear coming but fights it back.

Scott doesn't move when Gia hugs and kisses him. When she gets up for her cab, he stands and nods at her as he thrusts his hands in his pockets. "Well I hope everything works out ok for you. I'll see you around." He doesn't wait for her to get in the cab, knowing it'll hurt him too much to watch her go, and he doesn't want her to see his pain anymore. He walks back towards the hospital with tears streaming down his face, not daring to look back at Gia or the cab as he waits for the noise that says the cab has left.

The last two days had been difficult for Scott. In order to cushion what he thought would be the final blow, he had almost prepared himself for never seeing Gia again, because he thought she'd never come back. This had meant he was very depressed, but he couldn't show it. During the day, he had to fight the tears when Sophie asked where mommy was, and he had to try his best to be there for the girls and ensure they were as happy as they could be. For the last two nights though, he hadn't slept. He couldn't, so he had sat in the living room, with only a bottle of whisky and a glass for company, drinking shot after shot of the burning liquid but ensuring the girls never saw nor knew he was doing it. It meant he looked tired and a little dishevelled, but he had to be there for his girls.

On this day, he had decided to take them for a walk for some fresh air. On arriving back at the house, Scott had noticed that both Bailey and Sophie were asleep in their strollers, so he brought them in the house, parking both strollers in the living room so as not to disturb them, before he headed upstairs to take a shower.

Scott had just gotten out of the shower when he heard the doorbell ring. He sighed, hoping that the noise hasn't woken up Sophie and Bailey. Not expecting anyone, Scott wonders who it could be at the door. He throws on just a pair of sweatpants and walks down the stairs. As he opens the door, he uses the towel to dry his hair.

"Oh...hello," he says, surprised to see Gia there.

Scott notices Gia staring and smirks a little. "At least you didn't forget one thing. Sorry I should have put more on before answering the door. I wasn't expecting you." He stands aside a little. "Come in."
