Scott nods when she dismisses his apology, of sorts, and scratches his forehead. She didn't want to talk about it, and nor did he really, but it felt like an open ended conversation and Scott hated those. But he decided to let it go when she mentioned Mark again. "Well...it's not my fault. He was being an ass about it. Sitting on a tour bus being like 'hey listen to this song', 'this is the best song I've ever done', so I told him to shut the fuck up and quit being a show off. Haven't spoken since then. It's not my fault though. He did it." it sounded childish, but Scott really did feel hard done to by Mark. His former friend had become quite the soloist while Scott retired, and it made him feel like Mark was rubbing it in his face. When Gia goes to the kitchen after dropping her bombshell, Scott spends a few moments just staring at his own hands, deep in thought. He knew he had no right to expect it, but he thought in the two years that had passed that maybe Gia had gotten over what he did, and he foolishly thought she had come to trust him again. She never gave a hint of her insecurities at all. He sighs a little. It was a lot to take in that his wife would never trust him again, and at first when she speaks, he is so lost in thought that he barely hears her. "Hmmm?" he says, distantly. He looks up momentarily and shakes his head. "Oh. Umm, no. I'm fine...thank you." he smiles politely before looking out of the window.

Scott nods. "Yeah. I know. I guess I just thought you had moved on. My bad though. Can't have expected you to move on or anything. I just...it just seemed like you had. No worries." Scott felt like he wanted to talk to her about it, but what good would it do him? They had never spoken about it really since they had the big blowout on the night when it all happened, but now it seemed like they should have. Still, Scott would debate whether it was worth dragging up the past when it would do no good. She already said she didn't trust him. He shrugs. "All I'm saying is he didn't have to be an ass about it. He could have done it away from me and not rubbed my face in it. No matter anyway, it's done with now." When she leaves the room ,Scott just stares over at the wall, not really sure what to do. It had seemed like they had everything sorted and the perfect family life, but now he felt like all of that was just a cover given that she would never trust him.

Scott narrows his eyes a little and nods slowly. It was hard for him to take all of this in after so long, but he was trying his best. "No...I mean it's fine, Gia. I totally understand where you're coming from. It's just a bit of a shock I guess, but I do know what you mean, and I can't blame you at all for feeling like that," he says with a little knowing nod. It was true as well. He did get where she was coming from, even if it hurt like hell to hear her say it. He wished in a way that he had known sooner and had time to accept it, but that wasn't her fault. When she comes back out, Scott looks over at her and shrugs. The Mark thing was still a raw topic. Clearly the two were still at loggerheads. "Sophie's two. The man's 25. He should learn to be humble about it."

Scott could tell that Gia was making an effort to make him feel a little better, but it was a sore one for him to take, and it seemed to him like the progress they had made in getting to this stage was somewhat derailed by all of this. Scott sighs a little and nods. "I know. I know you're not some like psycho wife that's going to keep me home and stuff. It's just...I guess it's my fault anyway. Doesn't matter, I need to deal with it, he says in a sombre tone. "I know. But Mark always was humble and now he's not. It makes me feel like he was never happy doing what we did for years. That sucks. I'm sure he's happy now. I wont be rushing to listen to his music though."

"Exactly. Makes me think that he was miserable in the band. He should never have joined if he didn't like it. It's not like there were people who didn't know what I was like." He shrugs. "I respect him for what he did for my band, but now he's not the same guy so I'm not bothered what he does. I'm not arsed if I never speak to him again." he shrugs. When she tells him to consider Marks side, Scott thinks for a moment. "Hes probably a million cool indie friends now. He doesnt need me, and I don't really need him either. Plus he has his wife again now. You know how it was last time he was married." When Gia lifts her foot up, Scott smiles a little and pats his thigh. He holds her foot and starts to rub it slowly but firmly . "You have the cutest feet," he tells her. "You ever wonder what a foot fetish is like?" he laughs.

Scott shrugs again. He did miss Mark a bit, but he was still mad as well. Besides, he was a proud man, and he wasn't about to go off apologising to Mark anytime soon. "I dunno. Can't see us being friends again. Might make it awkward if Layla brings him here though." He smirks a little and then smiles at her compliment. "Are you good with your hands too...?" he winks, laughing. He looks down at her feet and laughs. "Me either. But some people fucking love them. I saw a porn once where people were getting jerked off by feet. That looked odd." He smiles at her, happy to put the trust issue to the back of his mind at least for a while. He was too happy to have time to spend with her to waste their free time while the kids were asleep.

Scott laughs at her reaction. "Oh god no, I'm not asking for you to use your feet. That's just backwards. Hands are far more dextrous.
