Not As Big (4:42) Description: This is the only cover song Lily did for this E.P. It was originally made famous by Puddle Of Mudd almost 12 years ago. The song begins with what sounds like a guitar being played that includes drums being heard with a bass guitar now. Lily starts to sing with a mid tempo and low voice. She still sings with a soprano tone but low. Her voice and the music starts to pick up as she gets to the end of the verse and then goes into the chorus. She sings louder and the music becomes more aggressive and heavier. Lily's voice seems a little raspy but it works for her. The music goes back to normal tempo when she sings the second verse and then again speeds up when she sings the chorus. She sings the bridge of the song and her voice gets higher, louder, raspier, and more angry. She sings the chorus and holds the last note for about 7 seconds with the music slowing down as she echoes the last bit of the song. Quote: ”I adore this song. It's one of the best songs from the 2000's really. The song itself is about a break up but I knew that I could sing this song and make it come more alive and make it more relevant than what it already is. The song is very aggressive with kind of a soft tone and it allows me to work on my screaming a bit. (Laughs) This song kind of gave me a chance to release some I guess you could say, aggression I've had. Lily starts to sing with a dark sounding voice, as you can hear drums and a guitar being played. The full band doesn't kick in until she sings the chorus, where she belts out the last line of the chorus and the music goes back to regular tempo. She sings the next verse the same and goes into the chorus again, singing higher this time. As she sings the bridge, the music takes a different tempo. You can hear the drums louder and plucking of the harp. She then sings the next two lines with a scream like voice and goes into the chorus again until she song ends. At the end of the song, you can hear what sounds like laughter of a little child, but evil like, and the plucking of the harp and chimes together. Quote: "Love, love, love this song. I went into the studio with Scott H, one of the best producers, artists, writers, I know. He wrote this entire song all by himself and this is the first time I've sung a song that I didn't write but he didn't disappoint. This is a very, very insane song. It's got the heaviness and intense feeling that I know and love. The concept is being in love with someone so much that it literally kills you. It tears away at you and becomes unhealthy but you just keep loving them anyway. It's got a lot of passion in the song and it's definitely one of my favorites, I'm gonna stop saying that now since I've called every song a favorite, but I love this song. Written by Lily herself just by sitting at her piano, the song tells of her being somewhat doubtful of how big most people have made her out to be. The song begins with a simple piano being played for the first 18 seconds then Lily softly sings the first verse, slowly. As the song goes into the pre-chorus, the tempo changes a little. The piano playing gets faster and violins are heard as her voice gets louder and she sings with emotion in her voice. After she sings the chorus, the full band kicks in with an electric guitar, drums, and bass guitar with her piano playing. She sings the second verse the same as the first but with the full band this time. As it goes into the bridge, the band plays more intense and Lily is vocalizing then she belts out the bridge, holding notes and singing in an up and down kind of tone. She then sings the chorus again. You can hear her voice also in the background vocalizing along as she sings the chorus. When she sings the last line of the song, it goes back to her piano playing and her soft voice. Quote: ”This is probably the most emotional song on here. I was playing it on the piano and Phil, my producer, he was all like 'You should add some guitars and stuff to make it sound amazing' and I thought that it wouldn't sound as good but he's a genius like always. It's just pure, raw emotion in this song. It's about me and it's like a message to my fans and for those who just put so much faith and trust into people and put them on a pedestal. I like to think that I'm not as huge or as big as people make me out to be. It's like I make mistakes and I screw up a lot and it hurts worse than when someone like a regular person messes up that it hurts even more for me because I feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders and I'm something of a influence or hero to some and I have to set an example. I mean yeah I think I'm a true artist but sometimes I wonder if this is one of those phases where it's a lucky streak or actual talent. It's a great song, might be my favorite, and plus I get to show off my awesome piano skill.
