RumourHasIt: Urie cited discontent with FREEDOM after the βsoft releaseβ of his debut album The First Time, which went on to be a major success. Apparently the record label did not expect the sleeper success of the stars debut single and album. (2/3)
RumourHasIt: As it stands; Mandy Williams, Young Hood, Alicia Lena and Cassie Valentine were the top earning stars for Freedom through 2021-22 and they donβt intend on Nick Urie leaving anytime soon after his proven star power, his ability to connect with fans and the general lack of major male pop stars on FREEDOMβs small but super strong roster. They were nearly bankrupt it seems and thatβs probably why there was no promo/money spent on his first album and singles. They just recouped. He was the top earning artist on Freedom that whole year. Every one else, all the major stars? Were virtually inactive and freedom signed up a few other new acts but no hard hitters aside from Nick that whole year.
