JoshuaGrimmie: Hello, people of the internet. It has been quite some time, hasn't it? A lot has happened over the last year and a bit. I won't delve into it and open up old wounds. You all know what I'm talking about. You'll also have been aware of my social media absence (aside from one or two monitored posts to confirm I'm not dead) and my general reclusiveness since the spring of 2021. It has all been part of my recovery process. I moved back in with my parents, voluntarily handed over all technology and passwords, kept my social circle VERY small and tightknit, and only ever left the house to roam the sprawling garden. To some, that may seem like torture. For me, it has been heavenly. A factory reset. No pressures, no paparazzi, no social media war, just time with myself. Time to reflect, repair and plan. Life is for living and that's what I am doing now. I can proudly say that I'm back in my own home now. I'm going on long ass walks. I'm buying my own groceries once more. I'm now all vaccinated and no longer spiralling when I see a needle (addiction + recovery is NO JOKE btw). I'm back in control of my own devices, though I'm still limiting my screen time and restricting what I look at. I'm also MAKING MUSIC AGAIN! It's bare bones right now, not much besides a few loose ideas, but it feels amazing and reaffirming that I'm creating again. There was a point where I had zero spark or desire to ever pick up my guitar again. I thought I would be dead before Christmas 2021. Last thing I was thinking about was singing silly little tunes. Now...here I am. Wow. Fuck. I'm alive, I'm happy, I'm inspired. Probably going to shut my phone off after posting this but just want to thank you all for your continued support.
