Katie looked to Nadia to see what advice or wisdom her friend could offer. When she said they'd be fine, Katie felt her heart skip. She hoped she was right. Aside from Andrea, no one had ever made Katie feel like Cassie did. "I did mean it. I called her selfish and I meant that. But now I just feel terrible. She's over there, terrified and I'm her girlfriend and I couldn't even help her." She nodded.and hugged Nadia. She hoped she was right. She wanted herself and Cassie to work it out.
When Nadia spoke again, Katie widened her eyes and nodded. "I know right? Two of us...just two girls. And we'll have four kids to look after." She sighed and stared.at her friend. "What do I do And? Help me..." she pleaded. |

After such news, what would really happen to the two of them now? Nadia didn't really know what else to say to Katie at this point. She thought that maybe they'd be able to cope with one baby, enough of a struggle it was going to be, but two? She really had no clue. The thought of herself even having twins frightened her.
She felt scared for her, and insanely useless, not knowing what to advise. "Katie, I... I don't know. I really don't know." |

Katie wanted so badly to hear what Nadia was going to tell her, waiting for some of the type of advice that her friend had helped with before. The longer the two sat in silence though, Katie thought that maybe Nadia didn't know what to tell her. She knew that it was confusing enough for herself, and now she felt that she had put Nadia under pressure to answer as well. But how was she going to be able to cope with four kids to look after? She wanted to be with Cassie, but this was going to be difficult.
Katie stomach jumped and lurched when Nadia spoke. She nodded. "Sorry for dragging you into this." She started to cry. |
