Josh heard her speak, and confusion immediately struck him. Hadn't she just asked him if they could be together a little while before? And now here she was telling him she was going to meet her ex boyfriend. He lowered his eyebrows a little for a few seconds and then tried to look as if he was unfazed about the whole thing. He clasped his hands.in front of him and stared a little at the carpet. After a few seconds, he nodded. "Sure yeah. I mean, I got a few things to think about anyway," he said, trying to smile at her and failing. |

Josh tried not to look too worried. When she kissed him, he tried to smile again. It wasn't that he didn't trust Jade, but in the last few years, he had had three different girls leave him for their exes, and he was just concerned that he would get hurt again. It was the reason why it had been a while since he had gotten close to anyone. He nodded a little. "Sorry, I'm fine. I don't really have a right to be worried about anything anyway.." |
