Small Bio: Lashes were formed in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England in the early months of 2012 by two university students looking to broaden their horizons, and find themselves something to do when not studying. The founding members were Gemma Kane, a nursing student at the University of Leeds, and Lily-Rose Cardle, a drama and sports student at Leeds Metropolitan University (both aged 20). The girls had met in their first year of their university courses and had become close friends, often indulging in "a little too much" SingStar after sharing a bottle of wine or two when relaxing away from class.
It wasn't until 2012 that the two girls really wanted to put their musical talents to the test and see how far they could get. Posting flyers around each campus, the pair received numerous applications, which were rejected for various reasons, before they came across 21-year old exchange student Mercedes Gomez, spending a year in England as part of a program from Hamilton, Ontario in Canada. The lineup was completed a few weeks later, in early February, when the trio were trialling their talents at the local KARAOKE bar. It was there that they discovered 19-year old feisty Russian Natalya Dobros, a girl who had spent the last year in England working in Leeds as a stripper, having come to England as an 18-year old, looking to find her fame as a singer. Her incredible vocal talent alerted the others immediately, and the quartet formed, looking to emulate the success of some of their favourite artists and bands.

Gemma Kane: The driving force behind the band. Probably has the strongest voice, and is the lead vocalist as a result. She has a really strong head on her shoulders, and believes that she will often be the one required to keep the other girls' feet on the ground. Gemma is a nursing student, and is perhaps the most intellectual of the group, a fact she hopes she can use to help them reach the top.
Lily-Rose Cardle: The classiest, and perhaps shyest member of the group, Lily is the least likely to be out partying or seeking the limelight. She is simply a music lover, and is probably the most likely of the group to write songs for the band. While the rest of the group have been bigging up their ability, Lily is the girl who will be trying to seek out opportunities and help aid their growth.
Mercedes Gomez: Mercedes is one of the two members of the group who really like to play up to their sex appeal. She is a keen dancer, and although she is not a strong singer, she has a star quality which makes her the perfect addition to any pop group.
Natalya Dobros: Without a doubt the wildchild of the group, Natalya is the youngest and most adventurous. Having left Moscow, Russia, at the age of just 18 to pursue her dream of becoming a pop star, Natalya took a job working as a stripper in Leeds, where she says she learned to use her sexuality to her advantage. Now, she plans to bring her experiences as an exotic dancer, as well as her undeniably outstanding voice, to help bring Lashes to the top of the pop game.

(All you have to do is come up with a performance roleplay of your star performing any cover, and this is sort of like a race against time as we have to stick to the time frame or your competitor will face the bottom lineage. After contestant makes their decision, I'll announce it and then announce the next performer ACCORDING TO THE TIME FRAME (must stay on schedule). I'll be in character as Christina Ortega as well as Brittany Knox. Some judges/mentors are also taking part in the competition and you CAN NOT bid your own act!
