RULES FOR VOTING BEING POSTED

New rules will be put up for when people vote. This tactical voting is REALLY getting out and hand and annoying. I spend hours sometimes adding up these votes and posting the charts on the main website ...for individuals who just vote as if they are blind folded when voting...voting biased toward others on the board except for their close friend on the board ..in patterns or just voting weird. Hopefully the few short new rules will put a change to this because I'm SICK of deleting votes and tired of watching the voting now. I like being surprised by chart positions like alot of us do too and watching everything like a test proctor has really become annoying. The new rules will be up shortly and are effective immediately.


Sorry if I sound mean, but I think if you were in my position you would sound mean too. It's really not fair to me or the others who work hard to this forum and to the ones who actually vote normally. Any concerns? PM me but don't ask who are the ones voting this way, they know exactly who they are.

NEW RULES FOR VOTING ON THE DIGITAL TOP 20 CHART


1. I know on the voting page it says vote for AT LEAST. From now on, everyone who votes must vote for all the tracks on the charts. If you happen to actually not like a song 1-5,000 would be a good fit for when you vote[See below].

2. I've seen some voting alliances, where a person basically looks out for another and votes for them the highest and the other person doing the same for them. This WON'T be tolerated. If I see this happening, your vote will be deleted and I will not count your vote for at least the next 3 weeks on the charts. Vote fair!


3. People who vote ONLY on the weeks they have songs on the charts will not be counted. In so many ways I find this to be selfish that you only vote on the weeks you have songs released. If you want your vote to coincide with a release you have, vote on the charts one to two weeks in advanced or just help me out and vote on the charts often or even occasionally. Once every time you release a song and you vote? Deleted.


4. PATTERNS will be deleted. If you are voting in an odd zig zag, I won't even budge to delete the vote. This I find pathetic, why can't you just vote properly? Patterns also include voting everyone at 35,000 or everyone at 1,000 (except yourself...those will be deleted too).



5. You will not be allowed to request a song for release unless its actually RP'd out aka "released/world premiered/ you know what I mean". I don't care how you release the song. You can have lyrics and a sound alike. That's good enough for your song to be eligible for voting. An interview where the lyrics and what not are posted is okay as well...just people can actually see, or hear what you are requesting to be voted! (Don't think people will vote you too high if you show absolutely no effort). If your song isn't actually released yet and a RP to coincide with it isn't on the boards, don't request it on the charts


6. Don't mix personal feelings with your votes. I've seen who doesn't like who just based on how you've voted for others on these charts and those tactical votes will be deleted. Vote genuinely. If you like the song they wrote up as a RP for their character... who cares if you don't like the person. Separate the person who is behind the character from the actual character itself. If you actually like the track they wrote, give them what they deserve. If you actually don't like it. Then that's your personal opinion and I can't and won't make you feel otherwise.


KEEP IN MIND WHEN YOU PUT IN YOUR VOTES
[Please go by this key when you are voting] After the first "slash" [/] where I spoke about the RP itself, these usually apply for voting when a song is first added for the charts. Check out the RP of the track to see how you will vote for them on their first week. Other weeks you may vote based on how much you like the track or promotional RP's etc.

1,000 downloads - I don't like it/Your RP show's no effort
5,000 downloads - Not really my cup of tea/The RP was barely passable
10,000 downloads - Not really my cup of tea, but I'll listen to it here and there/The RP showed some effort
15,000 - Not a bad song. I'll buy it/Mediocre RP but the effort was undeniably there
25,000 - I like this track! I'll listen to it more then once! Candidate for my favorite/Great RP that was very informing and well put together
35,000 - Excellent track. Really like it and wouldn't mind listening to it often. Considered a favorite!/Excellent RP! Liked everything about it

SHOULD THIS BE ADDED INTO THE CHARTS?


PROMO BOOSTS IN SALES!
YES THAT'S RIGHT! For the first time the Digital Charts will include promotional boosts in sales each week for people who promote their song! How do some feel about this? It's going to be along the lines of the voting boosts a person can get at an award show but less amounts and an more in depth concept for what qualifies your song for a promo sales boost. Let me know either by PM or comment whether or not you are a fan of the idea and I'll post a more indepth synopsis or what is it and put it into effect

ONE MORE RULE!

7. Whenever you request a song onto the Digital Charts, you MUST include the link to the actual song. This way, whenever a person hasn't seen the actual track, they can refer to the link you post with the song so they can see what song it is they are voting for! This is great for people who may or may not be on here often and don't exactly search around on the forums. The home page of this actual thread will have each and every link for the songs available for purchase. So once again, whenever requesting your track to be voted for on the Digital Charts include the link the song that may include you posting it on the website, the performance of the song if you haven't debuted it anywhere else or the actual thread you used to post the song.

I've done all the links for the current songs available for voting and the links below are viewable on the homepage of this thread. From now on however, you must include the link to the RP of the song you are requesting, when you request on this thread

or for more experienced users who know how to make the text a link, or 'click able'..just have the link "url'd" with the song and request it to be voted.
