Joshua sits at home in this unexpected video, which simultaneously and surprisingly reveals that he has been discharged from hospital and is back on US soil. This is not only the first time he has posted since his tragic overdose but it is also the first time he has been physically seen and heard from since then. Joshua's appearance of sitting at home shirtless, with messy hair and unshaven stubble coupled with his slow, staggered and slightly slurred speech ring alarm bells. His voice also wavers a few times as if there's an emotional lump in his throat. The young singer clearly still isn't 100% mentally or physically well.

Hey uh...hey everyone. I'm...back home and I'm a-alive. I still feel fucking dead inside but that's not for here 'cau-cause I don't w-I don't wanna put even more negative shit out there into the world. I wake up from a fucking...a fucking n-nightmare and then I see fucking kids being shot and blown up over in Palestine because of some STUPID religious shit. People are then picking it apart to...to like...s-suit their own agendas and wanting to be fucking grief thieves and placing fake targets on their own fucking heads because people are fucking selfish and want to be v-victims for attention. Fuck all those families who actually did have targets on them, right? All this anti-sematic, Islamophobic, homophobic discourse surrounding wha-what's going on in Palestine...people trying to fucking justify or rationalise these fucking war crimes?! There are fucking little kids dying out there!

Joshua begins to sob for a few seconds before sniffling and running a hand through his wild, curly hair as he tries to compose himself.

I'm sorry. I-I didn't wanna come on here and...a-a-and bring down the mood. Ummm…I was uh...I was, uh...I was made aware that "SURPRISE!" turned one yea-one year old today. A song that changed...like...it changed the entire fucking trajectory of my career - my whole life. I was sitting on my couch earlier and I...I was thinking about whether or not I regret putting out that song. What I...wh...what I thought was a reclamation really just caused more shit storms in the end. Lyrics aside, the success of that song and the whole second album...it...i-it has really burned me out and I thought I was really owning my shit and above it all but the tru-the truth is that it just opened myself up to more scrutiny. The bigger I became and the more that record spread, the more outside voices got into my head. More shit takes and fucked up opinions were hurled my way every single day. If I...if I-I could go back in time and not release the "GOLDENHEART" project, would I? I..I don't know. I just...I'm...it's...the whole thing is fucked. Everything is....FUCKED!

Joshua bellows the expletive and covers his eyes with a hand, exhaling sharply as he tries to stay calm. He then rubs his forehead and swallows the lump in his throat before continuing. As he speaks, he sounds as if he's on the verge of tears.

I love making music but I...I just hate, I hate the fucking circus of it all. Feeling like this...it makes me wanna quit everything. Making music is what makes me happiest though. It's just...it's just all fucked up. The thing I love to do most is tainted. The people I love...I-I fucking hurt them and push them away. It's like there's this fucking demon clinging to my back and this huge motherfucking raincloud over me all the damn time. I don't see how things can change. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do anymore. I shouldn't have woken up.

Joshua's eyes grow misty before he abruptly ends the video and it cuts to black
