What kind of metal are you?
Machete metal. No really, I'll just class myself as metal and be done with it eh. I don't care for overgeneralisation, which happens a lot in metal.

I see the lead singer's photo - where's the rest of the band?
Band? I am Machete. And I don't mean "I'm the lead singer and the rest of the band don't matter", I mean that I'm a solo artist.

Solo female metaller?
That's not a question - it's the answer! ;)

Is it true that you're related to Emma and Modi Blunt?
Yes. I'm the middle child - Emma's older, Modi's younger.

If I get to know you, can I sleep with Modi?
Hehe, I get asked this TOO often. The answer, at the moment, is no. She's still incarcerated for beheading, so I doubt it.

Which other female musicians inspire you most?
Raven Comatose and the Lunatica girls, Nick and Kate, are my biggest inspirations. Not forgetting their third wheel, Mayhem is fierce too, haha. No really, she's admirable, for being such a miracle. Gemma Ferns kicks some arse for sure. Kii Kii Lii is a choice gal, and not forgetting Hayley Williams, she was an absolute legend. Oh, and Emma. :P

What can we expect from you? Do you think you'll top the charts?
HELL NO! That's not what I'm here to do. I'm here to sing, whether you like it or not. My first single, "Look At My Sexy ....", is out February 1st. I'll warn you, I'm not afraid to push boundaries, so if you feel faint at the slightest mention of blood, don't come crying to me if my songs freak you out. I'll reveal more later. (Mind, gutter, out.)

Stephanie Fierce: I think you should send a demo version of your EP to a label and see if they are interested. There are many to choose from. I would recommend V-records or Spice Records.

Oh and BTW Do you pronounce Machete in Spanish or English? In Spanish it sounds really tight!

Hi there,

Can I just say that it's amazing to have a female metal artist. There's not many of em out there. Nightside Blonde is fooking awesome. Listen if you ever need any guitar extra's give me a call. I know I don't usually play metal as such but an opportunity would be nice. Unless the others in Herr Fische fancy making a metal album I doubt it'll happen soon. Oh well. Anyhoo welcome Machete. It's gonna be amazing!!!

I would have made the art more abstract, but Raven-the-artist insisted I stand on a box (I'm not the one who's abnormal, why didn't the 6'5" freakshow kneel down for me eh) and pose like a whore, so it looks a bit more feminine. He's girly as. I try to put some muscle into my voice and sing proper screamo, but he wants it to be all girl vs. girl, not girl vs. growl. I say I want this to be what the fuck I want it to be, this is 50/50. We ended up just going "fuck it, let's do it in one take". It's screamo. I'm not effing Barbie.

And so, we bring you - "Princess vs. Princess". I promise you, no more songs about and/or including Raven. Next song'll be about bubonic plague, 'struth.
