As the first quarter of 2011 continues on, there are many artists who have been springing up in the music industry forming very formidable names for themselves and for Desiree Shapiro, she's looking to do the same. She's looking to break into this music industry being one of the only females in the industry at this point on an mainstream circuit pushing the House/Trance genre. She broke into the music industry months ago being an American/Dutch female growing up in both places after a nasty divorce with her parents. Now that she's all grown up and she has a DJ/Partner and Manager DJ Night by her side we are convinced that this edgy female can really be the next big thing.


Her debut single entitled 'Killer In Disguise' is an amazing trip into the dark nights of House and Trance clubs that tells a very deep story between two people. Although the song may seem as if it has no depth, after listening to the words we were completely blown away by the concept of the song. The song pits two people together in a hot dance night club, one naive female and one man. They dance continuously throughout the night and this one man: eerie, attractive, and quite charming lures this open minded and optimistic female to his room for a night to remember, ending in the death of this young female, as Desiree belts out "What was I thinking, What was I thinking". The song may be taken controversially but the American born Desiree sticks to her outlook on the song, and it really is discouraging and increasing awareness with trusting strangers which is a leading causes in female deaths. The synopsis brings the song to a whole new level behind its amazing melodic beat, synths, a wonderful break beat drum & bass with some techno sounds. DJ Night & Shapiro brings us to heaven/and hell with great production on this project. Desiree tells the story using a very addicting voice singing over the instruments, synths and sounds.

The best part of the song, after the original concept, is the bridge. The song slows down as Desiree sings a chain of dramatic high notes and belts as she's being 'killed' by this psychotic man, followed by slowing heart beats, and as soon as the last heart beat stops, the chorus comes back up bringing us to heaven again.


This song may be the guilty pleasures of some hard rock listeners because the story, production, and Desiree's voice is so damn addicting that you cant help but to listen to it. We think we may have a hit on our hands moving into March of 2011 by this American/Dutch female and DJ. Tell us what you think.
