Band Biography:
Suburban Sunrise started when childhood friends Matt Urie and Nick Johnson both began to play instruments. Matt decided to pick up the guitar and Nick decided to pick up the bass. The two started jamming together and then added their friend Dylan Kendrick on the drums. When the three began playing they went under the name "Forget Me Italy" but has time progressed they added two new members and decided to change their name to Suburban Sunrise. In March of 2010 the band embarked on their first tour opening for a local band. On March 26th 2010 the band released their first EP named "Lost In Your Arms" which was not very notable on the bands part. On the day of the release the band announced that current singer(Jenny Garcia) and lead guitarist(Charlie Garcia) would be leaving the band due to creative differences although the two members stated that the choice was not theirs and that they were forced beyond their will to leave the band. After the two left the band announced the addition of three new guitarist would be joining the band. Joel Werster would be playing lead, Joe Hollis on 2nd lead, and Alex Anderson on rhythm. Matt would continue to play guitar but not as the main instrument. Matt took over on lead vocals. When the band added the three new members they all decided that they wanted to harden up the sound of Suburban Sunrise and went to a Post-Hardcore sound. On May 7 2010 the band released their first full length album named "Doesn't Mean Its Legal." In support of the new record the band hit the road on a headlining tour that was a total train wreck. None of the dates of out and the band lost money on the tour. And to add to the total destruction halfway through the tour Alex, Joel, and Joe announced they would be leaving the band because of a recent fight between all of the band. When the band announced the departure of Alex, Joe, and Joel, Matt, Dylan, and Nick announced that they would be finishing out the tour as a power trio. On the last day of the tour the band announced that their friend Nicole Woods would be coming and joining the band as the new vocalist and Matt moved back to guitar. On August 4th 2010 the band released their second full length album and the first featuring Nicole titled "Torn Filthy Love." The band has been touring the album since August till now. On December 1st the band released their second EP which was a self titled EP. The band showed a new sound to their music by adding in Electronica but while also keeping the same classic Suburban Sunrise sound. The band released "Torn Filthy Love" and the self titled EP on the label Shooting Star Records. On February 27th 2011 the band announced that they would be pulling out of their record deal due to a dispute between the band and the owner of the label who shall not be named. Later that day the band announced that they have signed a new multi million dollar contract with Junction Records. Junction announced on their website that they are looking to make Suburban Sunrise the biggest band in the world. Only time will tell if its true. On April 26th 2011 bassist Nick Johnson announced that he would be leaving the band because he feels like his heart isnt in music anymore. On April 28th 2011 Suburban Sunrise was dropped from Junction Records due to a fight between Nicole and singer Katie Coyle. Later that day Suburban Sunrise was picked up and signed a deal with Hacylon Days Records. On June 25th 2011 SS released their third studio LP entitled "When All Else Fails... Run." With the non success of the first single off the album(2 Birds, 1 Stone) The band was questioning whether or the album would be a success or a complete flop. I guess in a week time we will find out when the sales of the album come in!

We are going to be re-releasing a select amount of old songs that we did before Nicole joined the band. But before we release them we are going to be going back into the studio re-recording the vocals by putting Nicole in on them and adding some effects, different guitar, and some new backup vocals! OK so I would just like to start of this rant by saying can everyone fuck off and start caring more about our music? Im sick and tired of everyone caring more about our fucking "drama" then our music. We did an interview yesterday that im sure most of you had seen. I believe we were asked 2 questions about the whole situation and then the rest were about the new album, and the new tour. All the feedback we got from it was about the "drama." We got feedback saying how we are attention whores. Well that is not true because we have tried to stay out of the "limelight" by touring so much. This is the first peace of drama thats ever came up with us. Most people before all this happened probably didnt know who the hell we are. So saying that we are only in it for the publicity is bullshit. We left our old label, we stated why, we did an interview and of course a question or two about the situation is going to come up. If an interviewer didnt they would be complete dumbasses. The point im trying to get accross is that we are here to 1: Perform and put on one hell of a show, 2: Make music that people will love and that we love, and 3: Have fun doing both what we love and our job. People can take sides all they want but for Suburban Sunrise we are about the mother fucking music. We just released a show we did back and January to the public to see. Do we get any feedback? No. The owner of the label we are on is the only one that said anything and he said that we did one hell of a job. To me it seems the industry is more interested in drama then in the music.

Hey guys. We are no longer going to be using the third album site to give updates on the new record. All the updates will now be posted on this site. Now it has been one stressful week for us but we would like to extend our apologies to anyone who was affended by what we said or what anyone else said. All we care about is the fans and the music. We are also going to be doing a short 8 date tour at the end of the upcoming US one. The dates are below. We dont have any support yet for the tour so we might just get some local bands to open for us. Thanks everyone for sticking with us through the hard time. Also please come on out to one of the upcoming shows!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let everyone who was planning on coming out the shows at Anaheim, Chicago, and Arizona on the 8 date mini tour can not come any longer. The three dates have just sold out. Sorry to everyone who didnt get their tickets in time for the mini tour. Also we just finished up re-recording the old songs for the boundle packages! My favorites so far have been "Lines", "Song In The Dark", and "Cancer Song." If fans are just expecting the same exact songs but just with me singing in them, boy are they wrong. The new versions of the songs are amazing. The basic sound of the songs are still there but Matt went back in and recorded some amazing new guitar parts to a bunch of the songs. Also because no one has heard "Song In The Dark" before the guys and I both decided to post up the original version with the old singer Jenny and old guitarist Carlos in it. The song is not for download its just to listen to. Trust me guys the new version of the song kicks ass compared to this one. Also a little third album update! We have recorded 3 demo's so far! The names of the songs aren't going to be released though aha! So sorry but i will tell you guys that one of the new songs is completly different then what any of you have heard before. There is alot of theatrical intruments in it like violin, piano, and a little bit of cello but we also put in a shit load of keyboard! So far its amazing compaired to our latest stuff! Stay tuned for more updates!!

Biography of Nicole Woods:

UserPostedImage

DOB: March 8th 1993
Current Age: 17

Nicole Woods was born March 8th 1993 and is currently 17 years old. She was born into a family of five including a Mom, Dad, 2 Older sisters and one older brother. Nicole is the youngest of all the kids. She spent most of her young childhood living in Chicago Illinois but was constantly moving from city to city because her dad was in the US Air Force and was re-located many times through her childhood. At age 10 her father finally retired from the air force and her family finally settled in San Diego California. While in 5th grade she was the new girl in school and dint have any friends through the first 3 months of school Nicole would come home crying about how she hated not having any friends and not having anyone to hang out with. Finally during on week of school a young kid named Matt Urie introduced himself to her and the two of them became inseparable. Since Matt did not also have many friends Nicole and Matt found each other hanging out alot together. When the two met it automatically set off something great. Nicole started school a year before she was supposed to and was always the youngest in her classes. At age 11 Nicole's mom was killed in a train crash going from San Diego up to San Fransisco. When her mom died it left Nicole's dad to raise four kids on his own. When her mom passed the kids were (older sister) 16, (Older Brother) 16, (2nd Older Sister) 13, and Nicole at 11. Ever since Nicole was young she had been singing but it wasn't until her mother passed that she had decided to really pick up singing and began to write lyrics and took up singing as a passion and a life. At age 12 Matt told her that he had began to take up guitar and the two began playing together as an acoustic duo. Nicole was 13 when she started in high school was not very liked in high school pretty much how it was in grade school. Matt and Nicole dated for 2 months in their freshmen year but nothing came from it. When the two broke up they didn't talk for almost a year and a half. After she dated Matt she didnt date anyone through the last 3 years of high school. At age 17 Nicole was contacted by Matt who she hadn't heard from in about 2 years. He asked her if she would be interested in singing in his band Suburban Sunrise and she said yes. The two met up and began talking and said how she really missed him and Matt said the same. Toward the end of 2010 Nicole's dad died from cardiac arrest at age 53. When he first passed Nicole was debating on whether to stay with the band or to leave the group. She decided to stay with the band and has been better then ever. Imagine being 17, already recorded an album that went platinum, and being on the road away from family for more then half the year. That is how the life of Nicole Woods is. She is not the average 17 year old girl. She is very independent, and is not afraid to voice her own opinion. People with Nicole either tend to love her or absolutly hate her guts. She trys to stay out of the drama and live her own life. Her lyrics come from the heart and personal expeirences and dealing with the lose of both of her parents and not having many friends through high school.
