Biography:
James Francis was born on the 12th of July, 1989. He was born to his single mother, who was only 14 at the time. She tried to look after him, but bringing up a child in Hackney, she soon discovered, is nearly impossible. So she contacted social services, and tearfully asked if James could be taken away to someone who could look after him. After living in Hackney with his mother for nearly 4 years, social services finally took him away and took him somewhere safer. James was put in an orphanage, as there seemed to be noone suitable for him to adopt him or even foster him.
On James' 9th birthday, a couple who had recently discovered that they were infertile and could not have children of their own decided to try their hand at fostering. The two of them where given the opportunity to meet James and took it, leading to them taking a liking to him. So a few weeks later, he moved in to their house - which was ironically in Hackney, the place his mother had given him up because she didnt think it was safe enough. James' new parents were very religious, and they would take him to church every sunday. He quite enjoyed going to the church, unlike most boys of his age, and was a good christian boy. This was until he was walking home from the church with his friend, and a gun was fired. James felt his friend fall onto him, and he could see blood pouring from his stomach.
At that moment, James' life was turned upside down. He started to shut himself off from his parents, who had by this point adopted him fully, and listened to music all the time. He would go out at night and hang around on street corners with other hooded teenagers, smoking and drinking - and he was only 15 at this point. He became involved in gangs, and started getting involved in crime. He was given an ASBO at the age of 17, along with four other boys he knew. This was supposed to help prevent him from going out at night and causing trouble. But this just helped aid his life to spiral out of control.
One night, he came home after his curfew smelling of drink and weed, and his mother just looked at him and said, "You are no child from heaven. You are of the Devil." Around the time he was 16, he had started rapping with friends, and trying to earn a bit of money in rap battles, and when his mother told him he was of the Devil, this just spurred him on even more. He took on the name Lucifer, as it is supposed to be the name of the Devil, and took over the streets.
He has recently been seen by Damion Holmes, who runs TheUnderground, and has performed at the first ever TheUnderground LIVE! He is now working on his debut mixtape.
