.... and, as one might expect, it's completely fucking awful.
By clicking on this picture on kamikazekate.com, at no cost to yourself, you can download Benji Comyns' cover of "KAMIKAZE!" by Kamikaze Kate. First of all, Kate - if you're going to have him start with a cover, pick a track that wasn't complete and utter bollocks in the first place. The original "KAMIKAZE!" sold less than 5,000 copies, and those who did buy it were only doing so because either 1. an 11-year-old girl doing black metal was something new and interesting or 2. they didn't like Kitena Dale and/or Fleur Bunter. Now, the singer is 14, (apparently) male and performing a wimpier version of the same song, and he doesn't, to my knowledge, have any rivals.
What do I have worth saying about this? Well, the artwork's not too bad, and it shows what this is - Kate standing in the background, a necklace saying "SLAVE", a duct-tape cross over poor ickle Benji's mouth. He is her slave, and not allowed much say in what he performs. That and at least nobody's making any money off this, it's free to download (and delete - despite Kate's record of doing so, this won't stick around and give you nasty viruses).
At least the kid's trying. It'll be interesting to see what Moronic Changeling's Nick Biggs and Firecracker 47 (all far more talented than Kate) have in store for him. Hopefully they give up and leave him to become a shop assistant or something. James Kairiri's probably set up an appointment at the Jobcentre for Benji already, but sadly Nick, Joshy and Roxy don't see sense like he does. So I assume that we haven't seen the last of Benji Comyns .... but hopefully, he won't be lasting long.-Cayla Hotline |
