Good Morning Scott, how’s it going?
Scott: Pretty good thanks
We hear that your newly formed band have already signed a record deal?
Scott: Yeah, it’s an amazing feeling, we’re signed to Shooting Aces records.
There was reportedly big interest from two other major labels, why did you sign for a pretty unproven record label?
Scott: I can only speak for myself on that, but the reason I was more interested in Shooting Aces is because they seemed more interested in working with us rather than throwing cash at us and letting us get on with things, we’re still a pretty new band and we may need to be nurtured a bit and I feel Shooting Aces was the best choice for us.
Rumours had it that you were dating AJ of G2L, but you quickly denied that?
Scott: Yeah because it wasn’t true. AJ is incredible, I’ve never met anyone like her before, she’s also pretty crazy but I like that about her but we’re really great friends but we’re not dating.
And now your going to the Hall Of Fame awards with Michelle Green?
Scott: Yeah, it’s like crazy right?, why would someone as pretty and succesfull as Michelle wanna go with me as her date. I’m very pleased to go with her though, it’s like she was created by some science genius because there’s no way a regular human can be that pretty.
And do you think you guys could end up dating?
Scott: Oh, I don’t know about. Maybe if she was willing to settle for some average Joe, but I don’t think it’s very likely when you consider the amount of guys in the world, I think my chances are slim, besides she’s a very very busy girl.
So it’s not on the cards?
Scott: I dunno, it’s entirely up to Michelle. I’ve said how beautiful she is and obviously I’m attracted to her, so it is something I would like to happen but it’s not something I’m particularly aiming for, if something happens, then it happens if not then that’s fine too. But it’s up to Michelle, I’d imagine she wouldn’t have time to date and that’s understandable but any guy would be extremely lucky to have her.
She had a tough time in her last relationship with Matty, how would you differ?
Scott: I don’t know about that, it’s not my business. I guess Matty and Michelle broke up partly because he was close with a lot of other girls who he happened to work with. Umm, I dunno, I guess I’d always have my friendship with AJ but we’re nothing more than friends. I’d like to think of myself as a kind guy and I’d like to think if I was ever lucky enough to be dating Michelle that would be enough. I don’t see how anyone could possibly make Michelle upset, she’s way too cute, I’d hate to hurt her and that in itself would make me make sure I didn’t do anything stupid.
And what are you looking for in your life right now?
Scott: In music, I’m happy with everything right now, I’ve got my role in Brittany Knox’s backing band which I’m still part of I think although I haven’t heard any major details about tour dates and stuff. I’m working in the studio with G2L which has been interesting and The Wildflowers have signed a record deal so it’s gonna be a busy year hopefully.
And what are you looking for in your non work related life?
Scott: I think the only thing I’d like is to be happy, as long as I’m happy then that’s enough. Ideally I’d like to be in a relationship and Ideally it would be a serious relationship, I wanna be with someone that I can think about having a future with. That’s all really.
Ok and when can we expect to hear music from The Wildflowers?
Scott: I’m not 100% sure yet. There’s a couple of things we need to figure out, Once I know what my schedule with the Brittany Knox tour is then I’ll be able to figure things out, but I’d imagine we would take our time, maybe do support slots on tours and then head into a studio in July or sometime later, there has been talks of an E.P but that’s still unsure.
