2011 Waking Up World Tour ALICIA LENA ANNOUNCES 2011 WORLD TOURLive Nation® can today confirm the details of Alicia Lena’s 2011 world tour in support of her 2011 sophomore album Waking Up. After the success of her debut record it’s became evident that Alicia has the support to embark on a mammoth world tour and that’s just what she’s decided to do.
The tour kicks off in May 2011 with the North American Leg of the tour which will begin in her home town of New York City and ending in Toronto, Canada in July 2011.
She will then take a brief break before returning to the tour for the European leg of the tour, performing in some of the worlds major cities including, France, Italy, England and Spain taking in some of the biggest venues including, the O2 Arena and Parc De Princess.
She will then embark on the Japan and Oceania leg of the tour, Australia, New Zealand and Japan will all be part of that leg of the tour.
She will return after another break to finish the tour with the farewell leg which will take in the biggest venue’s in the USA and UK.
In addition to this, Alicia will be taking various new artists on the road with her as supporting acts. Alicia Lena wrote:”I’m so beyond excited about this tour, it’s going to be a tiring year ahead but I’m sure it will all be worth it. The fans have been great in the past and I hope it will continue, they’ve supported me so much and I thank them all and it’s because of them that I’ve decided to create this monster tour. I’ll be performing songs from my debut album, my new album, covers and unreleased songs with a lot of surprises along the way.
I will also look to give some of the best new artists a chance to get their music heard by having support acts on each and every leg of the tour, I already have a couple of names confirmed and I’ll be working hard in the next few weeks to complete the line-up of support acts.
