Good Evening Jake, how are things going? Jake: Things are going pretty great right now, it’s been an awesome year so far.
That’s great to hear, so what have you been up to so far this year? Jake: Well, there’s my latest movie which we’ve just completed filming and now it’s just down to all the boring technical stuff so that’s been a great experience.
And if I remember correctly, you were joined by a special lady for that film? Jake: Oh yeah, Brittany starred alongside me in the film, so it was pretty great to get to spend more time with her.
I’d imagine it would be tough for you two what with your hectic schedules? Jake: We’ve had our fair share of time away from each other since we began dating last year but you know that’s just something you have to accept really. It’s no real problem, we’ve managed to work around it and so far this year it’s been great because we’ve spent the majority of our time together, due to filming and I joined her in the studio briefly. But we know that we’re gonna be busy but we make it work.
And you sort of announced your engagement, but it was low key if I’m not mistaken? Jake: Well we just didn’t make a huge deal of it really, there was no huge magazine announcement or anything, I think we both posted a little message on our website and that’s it really. I’m sure when the big day draws nearer then it will become a little more high key but I think we both like to keep our private life pretty private.
So have you got a wedding day confirmed yet? Jake: No not yet, we’ll begin thinking about it in the next few months, but we’ve not really made any major plans yet, I’m sure you guys will hear about it though whenever we make any decisions.
And will there be some celebrity invites? Jake: I’m sure there will be some famous faces showing up, Brittany has a lot of friends in the industry and as do I so I’m sure it will be a great day for everyone involved but like I say, nothing has been planned yet.
Ok, and what about your career plans for the next year? Jake: I’ve got a lot of things lined-up, the label is running perfectly right now which is a huge weight off of my shoulders which means that I can focus on my original passion.
I see, and do you have any films planned and when can we expect to see them? Jake: Well, I’m writing something at the moment and I’ve put any future acting projects on hold for a little while because of time limitations and stuff. My upcoming movie, On The Road To Joy will be in cinema’s in June and I’m currently writing a script for Universal Studios so that’s the majority of the year taken just with writing really.
Any outside projects? Jake: Yeah, of course. I can confirm that there is gonna be more of Late Night in the summer, I’ve spoken to the guys in charge of the show and they want it to return around July/August although they haven’t made a decision if it will be a six episode series or just one-off specials because the Miss Vanity special last year was a massive success and I think the producers are leaning towards it being one-off specials. But I’m fine with it either way.
And presenting duties? Jake: I don’t know about that, This years Hall Of Fame has already taken place and they don’t let me know if I’ll be hosting until about 4 weeks before the actual show, so I don’t think I’ll find out if they’ll be keeping me on as host until next year sometime.
Would you like to continue to host it? Jake: I dunno, it’s a tricky thing. I don’t want to outstay my welcome but at the same time, it would be pretty tough to give up that gig. I guess if I was asked to present it again, I’m pretty sure I’d be up for it for maybe one or two more years and then maybe let someone else take over.
And any other shows lined-up? Jake: Well, I get offers all the time to do various different shows. There is one offer that I’m seriously considering, it’s a talent competition which is something that has always interested me, I think All Around The World was great however short lived it was and I’ve received details about a new show that is in the production process so we’ll see how it goes but you never know whether these things will ever make it on air. And there’s been an offer of a one-off HBO comedy special which of course is interesting me very much but like I say these things are always tricky to make a decision on because there’s always a chance that it won’t even get picked up. At the moment everything is in a very early process. But we’ll see what happens.
Ok, we’ll keep an eye out for any more information, Jake Wilson, thank you for your time. Edited by user 18 April 2011 06:29:23(UTC)
