Let’s be clear here. Stephanie puts a lot of rock bands to shame. Yes. R-O-C-K…..bands. Many rock bands carry this sort of attitude that they ‘think’ they are the best live artists, simply because they carry equipment on stage. Yet this presumption is only made by those who hate pop artists and those who accordingly stereotype a musician who carries the “Pop” label.

Stephanie Fierce has always been an experimental live artist. The artist you hear on the radio, might not be the artist you hear live. Stephanie Fierce always serves up a high-octane flavored set. One of her best abilities are in the vocal/energy department. Her vocal range is rare and her stamina on stage is fierce.

“I speak of on behalf of many musicians when I say this, a lot of people like to label me as a pop star simply for the fact that they want to feel above me. Well, listen you ignorant fuck, I could wear a name tag that says “Loser” and I will still be a winner. Get that through your head. I’m a mogul, a business woman! Yes and YES! But I am a musician in the same vein. My goal has always been to have 'ownership' in everything I do. That as an advice goes to anyone, especially women. "Have ownership in everyhting you do". But of course, you’re going to pretend like you don’t know that. I am willing to learn anything and enjoy it. I hope you all are as well” a confident Steph says at the conference meeting.

Yet, even though Steph has proven to those fuckers from time to time that they are indeed wrong, they still forget that Steph doesn’t mess around when it comes to her top notch live performances. She's been through three world tours. Festival to festival. Performing night after night, in audiences and crowds with the capacity of up to 200,000.

Stephanie Fierce: “Hello! (Steph gives a warm smile)First of all, it’s so good to see you all again!
We’re basically family here, so I’m very happy to have you all here today and when it comes down to business you know we have to get serious. This meeting of course is very crucial and I’m more than anxious to see what’s about to take place the next few hours. We have our first show tonight.”.

Manager: (clears throat) The Birdies, and the hospital visit took place. Stephanie Fierce was just doing a set of press conferences early this morning…

Stephanie Fierce: All that isn't necessary Robert. Thank you. (pats Robert in the back, before breaking in to laughter with him)

Anyways, I’ve been up the past 32 hours. Yes. I just finished speaking with my husband, so I'm a bit stirred in the emotion department. Just warning you, I’m kind of sleepy…….Maybe a bit grouchy too! So excuse the face (giggles) But from the looks of it, I’m gonna be quite awake the next few hours. But enough with the rambling lets get ready for HELL TIME. (everyone laughs in worry) I’m happy to get back to what’s important and that’s music! Guys….this is our third world tour together!

Stephanie Fierce: Even though I've changed many things around the last minute for this tour, the new musical arrangements are not set to be done in “prestissimo”. We’re going to carefully go over them and rehearse them. For hours…. So get ready for that. I don’t want to see anyone rushing detail. And we’re all working hard on this, so there is no excuse. I personally myself will be going around for about 45 minutes before the show checking just to make sure every little detail conceivable is perfected. I’m talking about the ‘front of house mixing’, the ‘processing’, the ‘effects desks’, the’ monitor mixing desk’, the lights, the ‘dimming’, the ‘house speakers’, the ‘consoles’, the ‘audio amplifiers’, the ‘Stage monitor’……what else…….oh yeah….the new “Intercom System” which we are barely familiar with, also the controllers, and the microphones. By the time I come around each station, when I test, I better see it perfected! Is everyone with me?

Bryan Floyd (Technical Assistant): We are always having problems with the consoles. It’s nearly impossible to get a perfect reception

Stephanie Fierce: I know you'r new, so you don't know this. But that’s everywhere you go sweetheart, you have to find the perfect wave and freeze it. You have up to an hour to do that, you’ll have enough time.

(Bryan Floyd gives Steph a worried look)

Let me make this clear. We all have to work together. If you need help....ask for it. You know how it is. If one person falls behind, we all fall behind. People pay 50-150 bucks to see the show. 150 bucks……….We have no room for errors.
That usually takes about 30 minutes for the pre-set up. With this new team of technical workers, we should get it done in 20. But 30 is the max. It’s hard work though and can’t be a little annoying but that’s what a good performer/tour director is supposed to do. I am aided by you professionals. Especially since this tour uses the latest technology in production equipment, so you the experts are here on board to make sure all the technical bits are right. I'm counting on you!

For those who don't know. I don't mime or lip-synch. Don't ever bring up that word in this room! And yet many wonder…. But how is that possible since many of my songs are high tempo? If you are asking that question you have either: Never been to a Stephanie Fierce concert or have not seen anything from me live. As sound engineer/producer I takes each of my song and compose a live version of the song. You will NOT see this arrangement because shows are done anonymously, so you have to go over all of the songs which are in the booklet. I composed the songs. Meaning I take each song and stretched it, so it could give me the ability to sing it through. Which is smart because it also gives me a chance to interact with the crowd a little more and play with the words of the songs. Also, during that stretch extra instrumentals are added to add something different and new to the songs. This is a very important concept for me because I know that my fans know the songs already and I like to give them something they could only expericence in my concert. I really hope you guys understand everything so far.........

Now that I got all the technical stuff out of the way, we can talk about the show itself. The title of the tour is “Newborn”. The whole show is based off the religious concept of reborn. We’re not forcing religion down no one’s throat. But I want the fans, to reborn themselves and experience something they truly have never experienced musically. The arrangements of every song I’m performing will be different. I want them to be longer, harder, and more free spirited.

When we play each song, there’s this sort of spirit that will fly across the arenas and hopefully touch everyone. It's a holy feeling yes, but I don't want my show to be sanctimonious. I can't stand feeling that way.

Also, the newest song I am adding to the set-list is "Dying in the Airwaves", which is the lead single of the new album. I'm probably extending the song, for over 10 minutes live.

The song has a quiet introduction, which will be done with the electronic keyboard. It’s pretty sweet because it’s like a flashback to the days when I was an electronica artist. I think the hardcore fans are gonna enjoy it. And then it builds up with these intense "discordant chords" I will be playing with the electric guitar. The ambient sounds will be played on the back track. My vocals are gonna be a bit warm, mellow and melancholic at the beginning. Which almost sound like I'm holding back vocally, but I'm not and that's what is gonna make it beautiful. But on verse 2, I’m doing a bit of screamo, which is gonna be fun.

I’m really excited about performing this song and depending on where I am at the moment, each time it will be different.

Stephanie Fierce: That's really sweet of you to say. I literally cannot stop smiling after reading this. I def agree that pop is a very wide genre, and people don't give it a chance. I'm an old school kind of girl. I believe that as long as you can perform the song LIVE, you are just as talented no matter what genre you do. I'm really honored that I inspire you and as you said Long live pop music :)
