Her mother died because of cancer when she was very young. She was raised by her grandparents since she was a kid as her father was busy working. As a child, she showed great interest towards performing arts. She often seen her favorite artists singing on television and copied them. When she was 13, their current management company in Korea, JJ Entertainment was organizing an audition in the form of a reality show named "Survival, JJ Search". She entered and managed to stay until the final. Although she didn't win the show, she was recruited by the company and trained in singing, dancing, and acting for her debut. She auditioned many time before, but was rejected because of her unflattering look despite her high vocal range. For the third time she auditioned for JJ Entertainment, she was accepted. A straight-As student in school, and the most high-class member in the group. She is very well-reserved, and people rarely sees a crazy side of her. Besides that, she loves to eat but hard to gain weight. A good singer, with a wide vocal range and abilities to maintain a note for a long time and does an octave note. Has the most powerful and strongest voice out of the five girls.

A girl who was born in S.Korea but was raised in Beverly Hills, California. Influenced by Missy Elliot and Eminem and a good rapper with her own style. She uploaded a lot of her videos of rapping in Youtube and was scouted through it. Created her own rap group during high school, but stopped halfway. An technology addict, and always have the latest technologies in her fingertips. Has a dark skin, which people said is her most attractive parts. Has a talent in writing lyrics, and compose all her raps ever since. Has the most deep voice out of the girls.

A girl with a passion for dancing. Studied Ballet ever since she 5 and considered as a ballet prodigy when she was 12. Has the most cutest face, and the most fairest skin. Considered as Korea's Sweetheart due to her sweet expression. She is not very good with her social skills, since she was home-schooled since 7. The youngest member in the group. The last member to join, nearly 3 months before their official debut in S.Korea. She was discovered through an audition searching for MiSTAR's last member. She was accepted due to her skills where she can communicate in 4 different languages(English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin) and ability to play 5 different instruments (Guitar, piano, violin, bass guitar, drum). She is an outgoing girl with a great personality. She is talented in composing songs, rapping, singing and dancing. In MiSTAR, her voice can be considered as stable as she never sound breathy.
