As the venue fills in of about 450 people anticipation begins to form in the crowd as the time nears for alot of the fans favorite band Suburban Sunrise to come on stage. The lights go off and an old song from the jazz age begins to play over the speakers. 4 shadowed bodies stand on the stage. As the individual spot lights turn on they reveal the bodies of Matt Urie, Mike Schmied, Joe Erin, and Joey Myer. As the old song continues to play over the speakers Matt plays a picking pattern that sounds kind of scared and tense. As the song comes to an end Matt begins to play the intro to the old SS song "Lines." As the intro plays and the full band comes in Nicole runs onto the stage and begins to jump up and down and headband. Since the full beginning when the full band came in the entire crowd began to jump up and down, and began to crowd surf.
Nicole:Let me hear you sing it!

Nicole: San Diego! crowd cheers as Matt plays a tense chord high on the guitar neck Lets get crazy tonight!
The crowd screams as the violin intro to "Take Your Own Love" begins playing. The crowd notices the song sounds a little different without the screams from Nick but still manage to follow and sing along with the song. In the middle of the song Nicole reaches into the crowd and has a massive swarm of fans grabbing and pulling at her. As the song comes to an end Matt goes straight into the intro to the very successful single "Vulture" and the crowd goes nuts. There isnt a single person in the crowd standing still and people are jumping onto the stage constantly and stage diving. Though alot of the crowd is made up of tweens and teens many of the people who stage dive get dropped



Matt: Hello Soma!crowd screams as Joey hits the cymbals to exaggerate what he is saying We are so happy to be playing here. This is possibly my favorite venue to play. So how many of you think the world is going to end tomorrow? some of the crowd cheers and how many of you think that its a bull shit? majority of the crowd yells Well in honor of the end of the world we are going to play you guys a new song called "2012" and it goes like this!
The fast drum roll plays as the electronic intro plays over all the instruments. The song starts off fast but when it hits the first verse it slows down and Matt begins to sing. As the first verse comes to an end Nicole yells out "Get the fuck up" and she begins to sing the fast chorus. As the chorus ends it slows down and goes back to Matt singing the second verse. Then the chorus comes in and the song ends on a fast note. The crowd continued to jump and go crazy but kept an ear out to see if this could be their new favorite SS song! As the song ends the two guitars hit a deep power chord and let it ring out as the piano intro to "Cancer Song" begins playing. As the intro plays through the first verse the crowd stands still and sings along with Nicole. Once the chorus hits and the tempo begins to pick up the crowd gets back into it and goes crazy and someone literally "surfs the crowd!"



Nicole: Now that mother fucker knows how to act at a concert! Hows everyone doing tonight you all having fun? crowd cheers Well for the rest of this set I want to see everyone out there in the crowd to go as crazy as they fucking can. I want crowd surfers, stage divers, and if you really want to open up a circle pit! Especially for this next song! If you know our music then I know you know this track! Its been all over the radio and shit! Its called "Song In The Dark" and I want to see everyone fucking moving!
The band begins to play the song and the crowd erupts into a fiery ball of awesomeness. As the band plays the song Matt jumps onto the barricade and gets pulled into the crowd and remains inside the crowd until the second verse. As more and more people continue to jump onto the stage Matt begins to push people off the stage so that they still have enough room. As the song comes to an end the lights go dark and two spotlights shine on Nicole and Matt

Nicole: Would you guys mind if we play a slow song? crowd cheers Alright well this is an old track off of "Doesnt Mean Its Legal." Its a song called "Song For The Lovers." I want to see alot of love right now in the crowd I want everyone to take the person to your left whether you know them or not and give them a kiss! We need more love in this world! And for this song I want to see everyone singing and I want to see some lighters and cellphones!
As Matt begins to play the opening chords on his acoustic the entire crowd pulls out their cell phones and begins swaying from left to right.
Nicole: Help me out and sing it! Nicole holds the mic over the crowd as they sing

Because after this is done

No matter if we live forever
or die tomorrow
I cant help to miss your beautiful face

Then the song comes to an end and the crowd cheers.

Nicole:Anyone want to hear a cover? crowd yells Well this is for all the Katy Perry fans out there! This is our acoustic cover of ET!
The two begin playing the song and most of the crowd sings along to it.(OOC: Not much to really say about a cover haha)

Matt: How about we pick up the tempo a little bit! Is that alright with you guys? Crowd screams Alright well this is a rare song that we have never played live before! This song is called "Sleepless Eyes!"
As the drum intro begins to play the crowd screams out of excitement about them playing a rare song live. The track is alot harder but doesnt have screams so the crowd opens up two pits. As the solo hits toward the end of the song Nicole stage dives into the crowd only to be dropped by kids who weren't expecting it. As Nicole gets back up to the stage from the crowd the song ends and the band begins to play "Torn Filthy Love." Being one of the more "poppy" songs by the band the crowd mostly jumps to the song and sings along to the jam. As that song ends the sound of an old record player switching records starts to play. As it sounds like the record player has a record spinning on it Nicole begins to sing the chorus to "The Leaving Scene." As she finishes the band begins to play the intro and the crowd jumps onto the stage and pushes Nicole into the crowd. Nicole is helped out by security and is able to get back on stage and finish the song.



Nicole: God damn! Every time we play in So Cal I get pulled into the crowd. Ok well we only have a few more songs for you guys tonight so lets make these next 15 minutes count! Starting with this song called "2 Birds. 1 Stone!"
The crowd cheers and begins to jump with the rythem. To the bands suprise(Due to this being their newest single) almost all the crowd know's every lyric to the song and if they dont know all the lyrics the entire crowd at least knows the chorus. Throughout the whole song the crowd continues to jump but looks like they are getting tired and not jumping as much

Matt: Are you guys still with us? crowd yells Well you dont seem like it! Get fucking crazy!
Matt begins to play the intro to "What Do You Mean By Dead?" The crowd screams, sings along, and re-starts to crowd surf and stage dive. As the crowd sings along the band wonders if the crowd know's the song from the old original version or the newer recorded one. Either way it doesnt matter because the crowd is happy to hear another rare live song. As the song comes to an end the lights turn off and the band walks off stage

Nicole: Thank you we love you goodnight!
As Nicole walks off the stage the crowd begins to yell "One more song, One more song, One more song!" As they all seem to be quiting down and starting to head towards the door the lights flash on and the band runs back onto the stage

Matt: You guys want one more!? yells come from every direction Well you asked for it! So your going to get it! Alright this next song is a really old one so if you know it your fucking amazing! This song is called "Which Way Is Up?"
The crowd yells and the band begins to play the song. Since the crowd knows this is their last chance to go crazy the people towards the back of the crowd push forward and knock over the barricade. The entire crowd then tries to fit up onto the stage even though most of them either fell off or just stayed on the floor. People began to stage dive, and crowd surf to get close to the band. As the song comes to an end the band continues to play a loud ending.

Nicole: You guys have been amazing! Thank you so much for coming out see you soon! Goodnight San Diego!
