Before I start, I put the punk in quotes because obviously there's gonna be people who don't think these bands are "true punk" or whatever.
First off is 21st Century breakdown By Green Day, now I really hated American Idiot with a passion. The whole rock opera feeling they were trying to capture just didn't catch on with me. I think this album might be trying to do the same thing. The "Know your enemy" music video was released yesterday and although It was much better than I expected it to be, I still wasn't impressed. We'll see how this album turns out I guess......
Next isLet The Dominoes Fall by Rancid, this is by far my favorite band of the bunch, but once again I was not impressed with they're last album either. Indestructible s poppy sound just did not fit well with Tim Armstrong's voice and they were way too many sappy songs on the album. With the impending release of the new album, Rancid released their first single, "Last one to die" on April 7th. When I first listened to this song I really enjoyed it, but when I went back and listened to it a couple of more times I realized that it was just a watered down version of something that would come from one of Rancid's 90's albums. Once again, I guess we'll see.
The final album is Blink 182's new album. Unlike Rancid or Green Day (for me anyway) This band left on top of their game and now that they've gotten back together I'm really exited to hear some of their new material. They've said they're hoping for a 2009 release date, so am I.
So, whcih album are you most looking forward too?

Out of these three, I'd say Green Day's album. Know Your Enemy is a repetitive and boring song, so I'm not creating good expectations on the album. After Supporting Caste by Propagandhi, I'm not really excited by the releases of this year, none of them will beat SC. Although I'm looking forward to Anti-Flag's new album in June. People still care about Blink 182 in 2009?
Because nobody else is doing the musical equivalent of fart jokes are they? |

Hahaha, B128. Talk about a blast from the past. I remember my sister buying Enema Of The State a good ten years ago. Even then I thought it was crap, haha. Good stuff.

If I had to pick, then Blink, just because I'm curious.
The rest will bite/have already bitten hard. |
