Int: Hey Matt how are you today!
Matt: Im pretty good thanks!
Int: Suburban Sunrise is about to release a new record. How excited are you to have the new album out?
Matt: Im really excited actually. Im getting really tired of touring Torn Filthy Love although I still love those songs and always will but it gets annoying playing the same songs over and over again. So im really excited to have this new record come out!
Int: Your first single off the new album "2 Birds, 1 Stone" was really a flop and hasnt charted at all. How do you feel about that and do you think that the fact it was a flop is going to effect the new record?
Matt: That actually worries me alot. Due to the fact 2 Birds, 1 Stone hasnt charted, and has barely sold any copies sucks and you always want to have a good single to kick off the promotion for a new record so I mean I dont want to think it but in the back of my mind I have that thought of "well the single hardly sold, so maybe the new record wont sell at all" or "wow no one liked the new single so maybe no one will like our new record!" Those thoughts are always hitting me now so that sucks but hopefully people will really like the new record and be excited about it!
Int: What is the next single going to be off the new album?
Matt: Well right now its all up in the air but the other songs we are considering on using as singles are "Stalker" because people liked my acoustic version of it, "2012" because its really fast and upbeat and its that type of song that makes you want to go crazy, and possibly "Cry Me a River" which is the slowest song on the album but has that hard hit to it. So I mean Nicole and I are obviously going to talk it over and see but more then likely it will be one of those tracks.
Int: Now the other day at Coco's wedding you and Nicole had some drama with your ex girlfriend Victoria Black. Can you talk just a little about that?
Matt: Ugh. First off I would like to apologize to everyone who saw that. It was really embarrassing to have that happen at a wedding. But honestly I dont know what was up with that, she really just flipped out on both of us and said that I didnt give her enough attention or whatever, but what the fuck its over lets just let it go.
Int: So what do you guys do in your off time away from the road?
Matt: Well personally I hit up the beach alot, and I write alot of new music. As for Nicole lately she has been going back and forth between the UK and San Diego visiting Katie but I mean we are just normal kids in our off time.
Int: You guys have a headlining tour coming up real quick how excited are you for that?
Matt: Im really really really really fucking excited for it! I cant wait to see Big Light Show, and Reported Failure again but especially Laureen from BLS because I might as well make it public that I think she is super bomb as fuck and really cool, and my bro's in Reported Failure are hitting the road with us and we havent seen them in awhile but they are really chill dudes and hella fun to be around! And as for Riot! I have a feeling people are going to come more to see them then us because they are taking over the music industry!
Int: Laureen England huh? Could we possibly see a little Laureen, and Matt loven?
Matt: Haha I couldnt tell you bro. I mean I wouldnt mind it but dude only time will tell but probably not
Int: Alrighty. So this is my last question for now. What is your favorite song off the new record? and whats your favorite song to play live?
Matt: Ha ok well my favorite song to play live has to be Vulture because all the fans know that song and thats usually the song where they break out of their shell and go absolutely fucking crazy. And my favorite song off the new record has to be "Might Not Make It." Its the last song on the album but its also that song that just kicks you right in the balls and its like a breakout fast fun song that I think everyone will like... Hopefully haha
