As promised gang...a live clip from last night's awesome, awesome headline show. Just one track, but still, I hope you enjoy it.
Katie Coyle - Live in Birmingham, UK
The last notes of Katie's track, Shattered Dreams die down slowly, and the crowd cheer and applaud their appreciation to the youngster, who still looks amazed by the reaction. She points into the crowd and waves, throwing guitar picks and drum sticks to people in the audience below her.Katie Thank you Brumpeeps! You guys have been insane! This has been one of the best nights of my life to date....for real. Thank you all so much! See you next time, good night!
More cheers of appreciation as Katie waves to the crowd once more and leaves to the side of the stage, where she hugs a girl who is standing waiting for her there, grinning ear to ear. The house lights stay down, and people in the crowd start yelling "ENCOOOOORRRREEE" at the top of their voices, and begin stamping their feet, slowly at first, before it gradually turns into a racket of thumping feet, and the whole venue starts to shake. Chants of Katie's name echo around the walls, as the crowd beg for one more song.
After about two minutes of stamping and chanting, the slender figure walks on to the stage again to massive ovation, she pretends to blush and shy away, and waves to the crowd before she takes her hooded sweater off and throws it to the people at the front, who scuffle for a minute as they try to win her sweater. Katie stands off the the side, swigging from a beer bottle, and talks into the backing mic.Katie So I guess Birmingham hasn't had quite enough yet then, no? I can't hear you I said I'm guessing Birmingham hasn't had enough Katie yet no???? That's more like it Brumpeeps!
She walks to the middle of the stage again, and lifts her own mic of the stand I got about enough time for one more song
sarcastic booing, I know, I know. Actually if you want to know the truth, I only have one song left because I only have one other song! Hahaha. Have we all had fun tonight?
Cheering I'm so glad, I've had an awesome night. You guys have been the audience for my first ever headline show, and I'll remember this one for life!
And hey, I'll be back later in the year with Glamazon! Get your tickets, because that girl is awesome! I'll see you all then.
This one should be dedicated to a certain girl, but she pissed me off earlier so I'm not dedicating it to her tonight. I'm just gonna get drunk and have a good time. If you know the words to this one I want to hear you sing. This is
Less Than 3....
The crowd cheer for the most upbeat, poppiest song from Katie's debut album. Katie counts in 1,2,3,4 and Greg from Gears Of Bremen plays the happy guitar riff intro, as Katie skips across the stage in time to the sunny sounding music, returning to her mic just in time to sing the opening verse, accompanied by a strong voiced audience which seems to take her a bit by surprise, before she starts grinning wildly, and pointing into the crowd.
As she reaches the chorus, she lifts the mic off the stand, and moves to the very front of the stage.Katie sing this with me Brumpeeps!
Cos baby tell me⦠is it 1 or 2?
Just rate your love for me
It must be one of those numbers
If itβs less than 3
Though they might say itβs madness
Iβm devoid of all sadness
When I have you next to me
Iβm excited when you
Tweet your love for me
You let the whole world see
That this is less than 3
Even days when we wake up
And I have no make up
You still stay right next to me
Wow, you guys are awesome I love you!
She has a real spring in her step as she sings the rest of the song, even reaching out to high 5 some people at the front during the various instrumental interludes.
The song finishes and Greg and the rest of the bad play a quick flourish, which finishes with the stage lights flashing, white, then green, then pink! The crowd cheer appreciativelyKatie Thank you again Brumpeeps! This has been the best night of my life! I'll see you again real soon, take care, GoodNIGHTTT!!!!
Katie waves once more and skips off the stage, smiling widely, and grabbing a beer from her friend at the side of the stage. The houselights come on as the cheering dies down, and the chatter of the crowd begins.
