TISHA JACKSON INTRO Im Tisha Jackson and This is Billboard.com!  Hello everyone, I am Ann Donahue, senior editor at Billboard and thank you for joining our Billboard Live Q&A. I am sitting here today with our guest, singing sensation, Tisha Jackson. Thank you so much for joining us. Tisha: Thank you guys so much for having me.  Billboard Editor: So, let me tell you guys how this works. We are taking questions from all fans on twitter. In order to talk to Tisha you have to go on twitter and use #BBLiveChat. From there I’ll read off your question. So let’s get rolling. So Tisha, you’ve had quite a last couple of weeks. Tell us about the new album. Tisha: Yes. The new album is called “Reveal” and it comes out June 21 of this year. And I can’t wait for you guys to hear it. I didn’t expect for me to be this passionate about the album.Billboard Editor: What was it like writing songs for this album? Was there a theme for this album? Tisha: Writing songs for this album with GirlSpice was simply amazing. I think I had such a good time recording this record. This is probably the most fun that I’ve ever had recording a record. We just sat down and took our time. Like the first couple of times we sat to talk about the album we didn’t talk songs we just caught up and stuff. And then everything just gradually fell into place with writing, then beats, and then recording. And to talk about the theme of the album, I just wanted the album to be Hip-Hop. Like I wanted the album to be tough in a gangster kind of way but not too forced. I do have a rough edge.
Billboard Editor: Do you have any idea what your next single off the album will be?
Tisha: Yes I do! But you guys won’t be able to know that sometime between later on today and tomorrow. I can’t announce it yet. But I can let you know this. When I announce the next single off the album, I will announce the track listing and cover of the album as well.
Billboard Editor: Okay. So let’s get into some of these twitter questions. This question comes for @TeamTishaJack. “What makes Reveal different from I AM…Beautifully Human, and your other albums?”
Tisha: That is a good question. But I would have to say that Reveal is different from I AM…Beautifully Human specifically because that album was me just thinking about the past and dwelling on past situations in my life. That album was me talking about what could be and evolve in t future as well as far as relationships, friendships, life, and, love took me. And Reveal is about what that album and point in my life was has evolved into and where I am at currently in my life. It’s just about me opening up a complete new chapter in my life and revealing my inner thoughts to you as an artist.
Billboard Editor: This question is coming from @TishaJacksonUKStans. “Who is your dream collaboration?”
Tisha: That’s the easiest question in the world! It is Janet Jackson! She is my biggest inspiration because growing up there were only few black women I saw who could do it all. And those women are Janet Jackson and Diana Ross. Diana Ross is a little bit before my time but I still love her. Janet Jackson is someone I grew up listening to and she can do it all sing, act, and dance. She is someone I dream of working with one day hopefully.
Billboard Editor: This question is coming from @LaLaRivera. “What are your favorite songs out right now?”
Tisha: Ummmmm. I’m loving, Lady Danger by Glamazon. Man Down by Rihanna. Dying In The Airwaves by Stephanie Fierce. E.T by Katy Perry. Also History. (Tisha begins to sing History).
Billboard Editor: When do you listen to music? Is it something that is constantly on in the background or…?
Tisha: I listen to the radio every time I am in the car because that’s when you jam the hardest. Music is something I am always listening to because I am always curious to hear what other people like and like to listen to. But I am also curious on what is on the artist’s mind and what made them create or sing that song.
Billboard Editor: This is coming from @AslheyLuvAsh. When did you first kiss a boy?
Tisha: My first kiss was when I was 13 I think. The boy had kissed a girl before so I was nervous like “Is he going to like it/Is he going to like me? But it was it was outside of school on the playground. It was nice and weird at the same time.
Billboard Editor: This question is from @iBEENGay. Okay? What is your favorite show to watch on television?
Tisha: Ohhh. That’s a good question. There’s several. Can I name a few?
Billboard Editor: Yeah, name as many as you like.
Tisha: Okay. There is 90210. The new one version. That is my absolute favorite show. Tristan Wilds is the bomb! I am watching Mob Wives currently. I like Bad Girls Club, I like to watch them fight it get angry because it makes me want to mob! Hahaha! I’m just kidding. I also watch, The Game. And Judge Judy and Judge Mathis are my all time favorite court shows. Simply because Judge Mathis story of criminal to law enforcer is amazing. And Judge Judy is the funniest educated women I know. The questions that she ask the plaintiff’s and the defendants are hilarious. It’s like she is sarcastic but she pulls it off so well and slick that it’s come as a regular question to them.
Billboard Editor: Could you picture Judge Judy in your family?
Tisha: You know, I have a family member or two who remind me of her. But I think if she was in my family we would be so close because even though she is tough I picture her as being very neutering.
Billboard Editor: This is our final question we are about to wrap things up. This is coming in from @PeaceKingDon. “What do you look for in a guy?”
Tisha: What do I look for in a guy? Hmmmm? I look for a guy who is smart. I look for a guy who is street wise but is extremely sensitive as well. Someone who is going to take care of me and be loving. Someone I can trust.
