The Sound Magazine Issue #3:Michelle Green the Indie/Folk Queen!
Now being such a young artist, sixteen year old
Michelle Green is working in an industry
that strangles and murders young musicians. Often they find themselves starting out with
stars in their eyes, singing what they love. but sadly end up going the opposite direction due
to the studio system overpowering these fresh faces of music. This brutal fact does not seem
to apply to the Indie/Folk Queen, Michelle Green.
It was last year that we all got treated to a powerful, folk/pop/blues/indie sound that had so much
control, so much understanding behind it, it surely must have been from an experienced musician.
A surprise it was when radio ears discovered it belonged to a young 16 year old girl. That was last
August with the release of
The Voice of Me. An album that boldly declares that Ms.Green has a
voice and it is here to stay.
Following this album was a single that only proved to the world that Green was indeed a young queen of
her choice genres.
Dance With Danger sky rocketed to #8 in the top 20. Now the music scene has
been brought to it's knees with the sure hit single,
you just lost your lover A single she worked on with
the super talented
Ryan Ross Hernandez . If this is what we are to expect from her sophomore album,
of the same name, then we are in for one hell of a great album!
The User Famouss7x7 is one of the "purest" RPers on TRSGFs. I say this because her/his? page is so clean and well organized
it should be a blue print on what to do for starters. I love how I can scroll down on her first post and see all M.G's
stats n' discography. She also is managing a handful of other acts that are well kept. Fantastic job F7x7!
Final Thoughts
+: Michelle Green is fantastic character. Lets hope F7x7 can keep to her roots BUT expand it to something fresh. She's
She's got a lot of time to expand and create because her pacing for releases are very far apart.
- All my characters are not in real time (NRT). I'm not a NRT sorta of guy. I like to release and I like to see characters that
I follow release stuff in reasonable amount of tim (a month or less). This is my personal taste. Though it does muck up
the timeline of a character.
