It has been over a year since anyone has heard from Regan Futrell and the rest of Quarantine. They will release the third volume to their set of B-Sides they have had for over years now and get started on a new album that is to be called "To The Surface". Regan explained on the albums name and new direction, and image the band are going for.

"We decided on "To The Surface" because we have been gone forever and it's now or never to come back on top of the world. The album is to be about pretty much a world war 3 aftermath. Like after everything is blown to hell how do we continue? We have working titles for songs like "A Song For Eddington", "Radiation Meltdown", "Heat Death", "Arrow of Time", and "Maxwell's Demon". We will put out an E.P. called "Dreamcatcher" before the album with 3 tracks that won't be on the new album but will give you a preview of how the album is going to sound. The new album is somewhat like "Rx" mixed with "Glasshouse" we can't wait."

As for Casting Thin Shadows Regan has said right now the band is done but plans on finishing their last album after Quarantine puts their new album out.

Quarantine's way of experimenting with each new album to create new sounds has always been a major influence on Infinite, so it's really nice to see you guys back on the scene. I'm sure that 'To the Surface' is going to be incredible, and I cannot wait to hear some of the tracks.

-Eric Quillington

OOC: I was wondering when you'd return! Welcome back, man!

Edited by user 17 June 2011 02:44:22(UTC)  | Reason: Not specified

Kid Anything- Indie/Britpop/Shoegaze; influenced by Sigur Ros, XXYYXX, Kanye West, Blur, Oasis

(Bringing together an eclectic group of influences, Ulysses' songs are sung with carefree abandon by Nick Junk)

Kurt Ulysses - Songwriter, Guitarist, Backup Vocalist
Nick Junk - Vocals, Mojo

Infinite- Alternative/Experimental Rock; influenced by Muse, Radiohead, and The Beatles

(Known best for their experimental music and their frontman's eccentric behavior, the band disbanded after Eric Quillington's death to pursue solo careers or, in Matt Robert's case, peace of mind. Infinite released four albums over the course of their career; Blue Nebula, Midnight Skies, Insomnia, and Dancing about Architecture.)

Eric Quillington (Deceased) - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Piano, Primary Lyricist
Matt Roberts - Bass
Greg Oldson - Drums, Backup Vocals, Secondary Lyricist
Amelia Florentine - Keyboards, Piano, Lyricist, Backup Vocals

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."

Thanks everyone. We have officially entered the studio without a producer. We want this to be our heaviest record to date but at the same time remain experimental and alternative like our past records as possible. I'm excited to see how this album will come out. We have another new song we've written and performed already called "Liar" which is probably going to be the albums closer. We are most likely going to self-produce the album ourselves unless we get offered for some help from a producer. This is a new Quarantine and we're talking about stretching this album idea into a trilogy but most likely won't so far.

I'm busy rehearsing for the reunion tour with Pilot right now, but would love to do some producing for you guys on a future work. I've produced all Pilot's albums other than their first two, as well as the odd album for some other bands, the biggest of which was Pants Festival (not very big). Keep in touch, let me know
