Next Single Announcement Hi hi hi Katiefans. So...I'm feeling really relaxed just now in San Diego, living with the love of my life, Nicole, at last! I feel so much better than I did earlier in the week, and so I decided to use this time to announce the second single from my debut album!
I asked people to vote on what song they would most like me to release next...and they did...and thank you to everyone who voted.
You voted for the second single from Raindrops, Caffeine and Other Liquid Stimulants to be INVANITY. This is a song about when I lost the plot a little bit after Miss Vanity broke up with me. It seems like a slightly inappropriate time to release it, what with her death and stuff, but the song has nothing against her in it...it's about my mental state really. And I dedicate the song to her memory.
The track will be released on July 8th 2011

Being in a more relaxed environment seems to be very conducive to writing for me...I think after the whole "story" aspect of my debut, I want to put out another album very quickly. I want it to be detatched from my story, and be something which can stand on it's own.
For that reason, I have been writing some blues songs over the last few nights here at Nicole and Matt's house. It'll be way different to what I've been doing, but I think I have the potential to do a quite low key blues album if i can keep writing to this standard. If I do, I'll probably record it as early as the summer!
