5-piece Melodic hardcore band stand out from rising Welsh unsigned scene
The ever growing music scene is South Wales shows off some promising talent, but a band making an impact on crowds everywhere are 5-piece heardocre band
Heartless.
Since their formation in early 2009, the band have progressed from openers in community centres and charity gigs, to local small venue headliners wanted by all promoters in their area.
Altough the band have no releases, they have their eyes set on the rest of the UK and the world, now that they've taken over their hometown of Cardiff and surrounding cities, towns and villages.
'It's very simple' states vocalist Jimmy Standon,
'We want to be one of those bands that people are paying top money to see live, we want to be able to walk out on stage and have thousands of fans singing and screaming along, like any kids, that's out dream'.The band have announced they are looking for any gig, any position, anywhere in the world, and if their reaction in their hometown is anything to go by, they certainly know how to please a crowd.
NEWS
ALMOST ALL UK TOUR TICKETS SOLD OUT! - RECORDING ANNOUNCED VIA JIMMY'S TWITTER
After their recent announcement of performing at Aftermath! Festival this September and their excellent live review from their headline show of Newport, where most of the band are originally from, ticket sales have shot through the roof.
As previously reported (see below), their hometown show of Cardiff sold out within a couple of weeks, the venue was then upgraded releasing another 110 tickets, the show then sold out, not long after their Newport show.
Aswell as that, the shows in Bristol and Birmingham have sold out, the venue's will not be upgraded.
There are still tickets for the London show, but not many, so get them now if you haven't!
This is an honour! drummer Adam Jones said I didn't expect any of the dates to sell out! This is absaloutley amazing, almost sold out on our own tour!
Aswell as this announcement, Jimmy has revealed via his twitter account that they will be recorded with Chimera vocalist Dan Severge (who produced 2008 Smash Up album Ashes Of Dawn: A Fire Begins) the week after the Aftermath Festival.
Recording with Dan Severge the week after Aftermath! September 5th. I can't wait, the album's going to be fucking heavy. said Jimmy via twitter.
Jimmy then released this:
We were going to be recording from September 1st but then we both got asked to perform at Aftermath, we weren't going to say no to playing the stadium and neither were Chimera to headlining it! So on September 5th we head to his new studio, we loved the work him and Luke (Jelt, Chimera drummer who passed away in June 2010) done on Ashes Of Dawn (A Fire Begins) in 2008, so to hear how the album's going to sound is going to be amazing!
He also added:
We've got 9/10 songs written, and the 10th is nearing completion, we might play another new song live, or we might just stick to Graveyard until we decide to release the single, that we're so proud of!
More news on the album to come soon
'We'll be recording in September'
Heartless have announced that their debut album (currently untitled) will be recorded in September.
'We're very, very excited about this record, we've just wrote a song we're sure we want to release it as a single, including a couple of old songs as b-sides!
The album is over halfway done on the writing side of thing, I think that we'll be recording in September, or early October at the very latest, and I'm hoping for a release just before Christmas, which would be awsome! said vocalist Jimmy Standon
In other news, the bands headline show from their mini-tour in their hometown of Cardiff on August 21st has been upgraded.
Within a week, 220 tickets sold for the bands show to celebrate the re-release of their EP, Sharks that is going to be released on August 8th 2011 online in the UK.

'We're writing an album instead'
Band announce 2nd EP will now be an album
Heartless have announce that their follow-up to 2009's 'Sharks' EP will be put on hold.
The EP, which was planned to be recorded this summer in Screamloud studios with former Chimera vocalist Dan Serverge is now going to be written as an album, they have said that majority of the EP will be scrapped, and that the band will start work on an album within the next two weeks.
'We always thought of doing an album, but we never got enough publicity to make it worth writing a hole 10-track album and losing thousands of pounds from our own money if it didn't sell' says vocalist Jimmy Standon today on the bands official tumblr page.
'Now we've started getting a fair bit of attention from the rest of the UK, I think we can release it and be sure that we'll eventually make the money back, and the album will probably only be available in the UK, unless a miracle happens and we get enough attention over seas to release it in any other country!'
More news on the bands album will come soon, the band have also stated that they have no idea when the album will be ready to record or release at the current time.
